These guys were terrific! On the hottest August day, they packed all the kitchen and dining room items, along with all the lamps, framed pictures, and other items we couldn't do. They loaded everything onto one truck, which was especially tricky because they had a smaller truck than planned. They finished the load in about 7 hours, and the unload in only 4. They were friendly and professional, and we had absolutely no breakage on anything they packed. They even made a special point to pack our plasma TV as the last item so they could take it out of the truck and keep it in the cool warehouse, as it may have been damaged in the extreme heat were were having.

They went above and beyond what was in our contract. They were on time. They were so helpful. We were in quite a predicament and they always were attentive to our needs. The whole experience was seamless. They knew what they were doing and always exceeded my expectations.

They provided 2 men to move us literally across the street. They got the job done in the time they estimated and the cost was actually less than the original estimate. They were also very flexible with us, as we had to change our moving date due to problems with our buyer's closing.

Overall, wonderful job. A few items were forgotten and I also wanted to add some additional items to the truck, so Shaun came out the following week (4th trip) and picked the last of the items up. I would definitely use Emery again. To Shaun, Ryan and the other two guys - keep up the good work!

Moving in 3 weeks and called to get a quote; they were very organized in their questions and detailed in describing how they work and how they will move specific items from my house to the new one.

The work crew did an excellent job. They were very entertaining, careful and professional. However, Dean Emery who estimated the job at $1128, promised the final cost would be "within 1/2 hour of the quote" but didn't keep his word. The actual cost was almost $1800, nearly 60% more than the estimate!

Arrived on time. Movers were courteous. Did all the work that was agreed to except they completely forgot to pack up items in the attic. Did not discover this until they were almost done unloading the goods at the new location that evening. I paid for the work that was accomplished, and then told the workers that I would settle up the remainder of the move with their owner. I wrote an e-mail to the owner asking for a solution and have not yet received a reply. Pricing was competitive. I was satisfied except for the movers not getting the attic packed up and the owner not responding to my inquiry.

They got everything in the truck with our any issues. When we got to the apartment they empty the truck placing everything where it needed to go. They were very professional and got the job done in the time that we were told. They were worth every penny we spent! We would have them move us again.

We were very satisfied with our overall experience with Emery's. We scheduled them less than a week before our move date. They were able to put us on first thing in the morning, and they brought some furniture and about 50 boxes from storage, directly to the moving truck. They were on time, coordinated well with the other movers, and even moved a couple of pieces of furniture for us that we were giving away to friends.

Called and scheduled appointment 2 weeks in advance for the day requested. Estimate given of approx. $1400 (4 people, 2 trucks, 7 hours). Movers showed up on time and took 4.5 hours and cost much less. Movers worked very hard and fast, yet very careful with everything. I was extremely impressed with the service I received and would highly recommend them. I can't say how pleased I was with their service!

We had a fabulous experience with Emery's. From the very first phone call until the end of the move was smooth and pleasant. The moving crew was very courteous and gentle with our furniture. They were professional and on time.

We were very pleased with the entire experience. Shaun came over several weeks in advance to give us an estimate. He recommended two trucks and six men for ten hours (approximately $1750 with the Angie's List discount). The crew arrived by 9 a.m., had the trucks loaded by 12:30 p.m., and had everything unloaded by 4 p.m. Since we were two hours under the estimate, the final price was lower. The crew were very pleasant and careful with our belongings. I would not hesitate to hire them again for a move in the future.

Great Job! The owner actually came and helped out, and they were 10 minutes early. They took great care with our items (moved from storage into a new house) and padded everything. It was raining and nothing got wet!!! They took the time to make sure some of our antiques were especially protected, too. Would recommend to anyone!

The move was scheduled for 9:00 am, at 8:50 am I received a call from the mover to ask for directions. The moving van showed up at 9:30 am. We had requested three movers. It took the movers four hours to complete the move and I was charged for an additional one hour for travel time, which I was aware of. We had to go out to the truck several times to see where the movers were as they took several breaks. It seemed that they were not very motivated or concerned that I was being charged by the hour. When we moved from the home we sold and then into the apartment, we used different movers and it was completed in three hours which included the travel time.

We called and received an estimate. They arrived on time on the given day and worked well and were congenial. Nothing was missing and very few scratches appeared from the move. We would hire them again. The actual cost was less than the estimate!

Service was excellent, the men friendly and careful. The surprise came at the end when they charged a 4-hour minimum (the move took only 1 1/2 hrs), which was not told to me over the phone!! I'd gotten estimates from 2 companies: Sherman and Emery's. I'd hired Sherman's (to move me into the apt) and liked them, but Emery's was only 10 minutes away and their hourly rate was cheaper. Sherman's charges a 2 hr. minimum (and estimated 2-3 hrs to move me). Emery's estimated 4-5 hrs. (for a single person in a 1 br apt. moving 10 min. away??), gave me their hourly rate, but didn't tell me they charge a 4-hr minimum. In fact, was sure that Mr. Emery told me a lower hrly. minimum (I didn't write it down, but remember thinking no problem since Sherman's moved me into the apt in 1 1/2 hrs). I also said I might rent a truck to move items over the day before, and he said that would be a good idea to get the cost down! I called twice after the move, but was only told, "Well we estimated 4-5 hrs".

This move went very well. The truck arrived punctually. The three movers were friendly and polite. They worked efficiently\. They were careful and they followed directions.

They showed up on time, but missing one worker. Told another was to be brought by the manager, but the lead person decided the job did not need a third worker (therefor cheaper rates). Took very good care of our furniture and packed the truck according to where the items were to go (storage unit or house). We would use them again and recommend them to anyone else.

I had a team of three: Terry, Justin, and Ed. They knew exactly what they were doing and had my furniture loaded in no time. I was moving to a house in a road construction zone, and had made special arrangements to have access for the truck. The construction foreman was giving me a hard time about getting the truck in, so Justin and Terry got out of the truck and the foreman's tune changed immediately. In the new house, they moved a huge desk upstairs for me and arranged my new office better than I would have. I was very pleased by their knowledge and good humor. Daphne gave me both the Angie's List discount and Sr. citizen discount.

They are outstanding - very professional and dependable. I would use them again, and I did. My in-laws were in their 80's and 90's and left money hidden in books and in the furniture, and the movers kept giving me money that had found. Their bid was on target, in fact I was so impressed that I now use them for the non-profit business I manage. They have made 110 deliveries for me between Oct 06 and July 07. Trust me, you won't go wrong with Emery's Movers.
