The service was exceptional. The guys (2 of them) arrived at the exact time they stated and moved the piano within 30 minutes from one home to the other. The cost was exactly as quoted. They did an exceptional job and I would highly recommend them.

No problems, everything went as planned. They also did not scar up our furniture.

When I called them for an estimate, I let them know I got their name from Angie's List. They immediately informed me of the Angie's List discount and as well as the senior discount. I appreciated them brining those to my attention. The person on the phone seemed knowledgeable. They sent out 4 very pleasant workers who worked quite well together. They were friendly, courteous, and conscientious of my home, as well as my neighbor's. They made it a simple process for us. They had the equipment necessary, which made for an easy move. They neighbor was equally as pleased. I would use them in the future if necessary and recommend them to others.

The phone conversation with Daphne went great she was very nice and helpful. I got the estimate, scheduled the movers, they showed up on time but took much longer to do the move than was estimated. In fact, they said they would be able to get the house packed up, go to our storage unit pick that stuff up and move everything to the new house in 6-8 hours. Well it took 9 hours the first day and they didn't even go to the storage unit. So they had to come back the next day which cost an extra $200. In order to keep things moving the first day and make the process go faster I had to help move as well. The guys for the most part were pretty nice but took a lot of breaks (mostly smoking) and were pretty slow. Because everything went so slowly Daphne did give us a 15% discount which was nice. Overall, I was pretty unhappy with the whole thing.

Daphne was wonderful - very responsive. The 2-man moving crew arrived exactly on time - were very friendly, accommodating and professional. Moving can be one of the most stressful times and there was not one thing that I could say they could have improved on. I was very, very pleased with everything from start to finish. There is a 4-hour minimum and our move only took 2-3 hours as the men were extremely efficient...and I was happy to pay for the peace of mind of a great move.

Daphne was awesome at the beginning. The estimate process went well. When the men showed up for the first part of the move, the crew leader had a serious attitude. He stated that they'd had a big job the night before and he was surprised at how big my job was going to be. I paid for three men, but only one did the moving. One man tagged my items while the other stayed on the truck most of the time. They ended up going 2 hours over the estimate time. On the second part of the move, they were to arrive at 9 a.m. I had other installers scheduled (who were charging by the hour) around their arrival with my things. They arrived at 1 p.m.! When I asked about the hold up, I was told they'd been loading my items from storage onto the truck for hours and would be there ASAP. They were FOUR hours late. Not only were they late, when they arrived, the foreman was again grumpy and they were irritable about moving my things. The guys just brought stuff in at sat stuff where ever... Daphne didn't charge me for the labor on the unload, but the guys lost my bolts for my desk and my bed in the boxes and LEFT without assembling my bed and desk!

It was excellent. We were very pleased and would absolutely use them again.

I had a fantastic experience. They did the whole thing in 4 hours. They provided 3 exceptional gentleman to work and help. They did an outstanding job. Nothing was damaged and everything was moved in great condition. They took exceptional care with the flooring in both the townhome and new home. There were hard wood floors and they paid extra attention to make sure nothing got scuffed. Even though we were only going 5 miles away the truck was packed to go cross country. A great deal of care was visible in their efforts. I would rate them an "A" or better, it was well worth the money. I would hire them without hesitation in the future.

These movers are the best far and beyond any movers that I have used my entire life. They are wonderful, fabulous, professional, fast, and I could go on and on and on with postive comments about them. I will never use another moving company again. Emery Movers have a client for life !!! If you want your move done right and professional , call these guys for you will not be disappointed at all.

They were much more expensive than what was quoted. I paid nearly $700, when I was quoted only $400. They said it took a little longer than expected, but I was very disappointed in the drastic difference in price.

The move went extremely well. The movers arrived, assessed the items and got right to work. They were extremely professional and knew what they were doing. When they unloaded the truck, they brought an extra person to help at no charge. They covered all the floors that they were walking on. They were very careful and efficient . We had absolutely no problems whatsoever. They did an awesome job.

The service was excellent. Two gentlemen arrived exactly on time, and surveyed the items to be moved before starting the load, to ensure good packing of the truck. They were considerate of the other residents' access to their cars in the crowded apartment parking lot. They were careful to wrap items as needed with appropriate padding, they removed exposed glass and other fragile parts of lamps and other items (where I had forgotten to do so), and were exceptionally careful with both handling the items and avoiding marring (or even touching) the walls. At the destination, they unloaded in the same professional manner, and were able to place the furniture exactly where we needed it to be. There was one turn in the house that was too tight for a desk, so they (with our permission) took the door off the hinges, moved the desk, and replaced the door, without damage to anything. They were able to complete the job in less time than I expected, and handled everything very well.

We were organized and prepared for the move and one day prior to the move we actually chose to move 7 pick up truck loads ourselves including fragile items to save Emery the trouble. When the moving crew of 4 arrived that morning I gave them a quick tour and emphasized the extra concerns we had with the hot tub and the kiln. (The hot tub is 9x9 with motors in each of the 4 corners. The kiln is large and very, very fragile as it is made of soft brick. I noted that, showed them carefully and gave them the option to move the kiln in one piece or broken down. They assured me one piece was fine.) It was CLEAR during the walk through that the 4 movers were not happy with the size of the job and stated when seeing the hot tub "we need more help and a bigger truck". My concerns began then. I will add that the 4 movers were very hard workers, were mostly careful with things and did load and pack everything else well. I questioned how the hot tub would be moved. They said they stand it on its side with the motor side down and push it into the truck. After it was on its side (which presented much struggle for them) they noted there was a motor in all 4 corners. I have concern of motor damage. They unloaded it with the same stuggle and set it in our garage upon delivery. We will be installing it soon. Hopefully, there will be no problems with the functioning of it... we'll see. The kiln loading was a major problem when they loaded it and dropped it at an angle onto the truck floor. The bottom base of the kiln shifted and brick crumbled. I had to walk away and was very upset. We're still settling into our new home and I've not yet been able to fire the kiln but I'm sure repairs will be needed. The movers said nothing but they knew it was damaged when they all paused in silence then scooted the base into position again (which is actually still wrong). The move took the crew longer than expected, the truck was full and the storage unit hadn't even been addressed. After unloading the truck we were presented with a bill for twice the amount of the estimate and said they'd have to pick up the storage unit another day and for more money. We gave them a check for ONLY the amount of the estimate and advised them to have the owner (who was out of town) call us that following Monday to settle. They never called to resolve the payment issue. I will address the concerns with the kiln and hot tub once they are acitvated. They crew was hard working but obviously frustrated. I did not fault them.

They arrived at my house in a timely manner...quickly loaded up 3-4 pieces of furniture and several boxes...and drove to the westside (about 30 min.). Once there, they unloaded all the stuff and were on their way. I was very satisfied...they were polite, friendly, & efficient. I have used them before to move some furniture for me, and I will definitely use them again, if the need arises.

This move went very well. The crew was early and they started working right away. They were very careful and efficient in making this a stress free day. Emery's is a little more expensive than their competition but more than make up for it with outstanding teamwork and attention to detail.

Emery's Movers was great. We actually did a double move with them. They were very careful with our belongings. We kept a few items in storage knowing they would move us in a few months again. That worked great. Very punctual and their moving men always were friendly. I would recommend them for a move.

We had a fantastic experience with this company. The three gentlemen that came to move us were efficient, courteous, careful, conscientious, and very focused on doing a terrific job for us. We couldn't have been more happy with the moving service they provided us. They were the best part of the entire moving process. Recommended very highly.

They did a great job--we had a lot more boxes (mainly books) than they'd realized, but they worked extremely hard and took less time--so charged less--than I'd anticipated.

It went GREAT! The day before the move 3 gentlemen came in the morning (around 8:30) with boxes (some used - as we had discussed during the estimate appt.), started off packing. They were careful with things, packed them well, labeled the boxes as we asked, took minimal breaks and were done by 3 p.m. I bought lunch for all of us & brought it back to the house. The day of the move, we had 4 guys moving us (2 were there packing the previous day), so were familiar with the move. They arrived around 8 a.m., loaded the truck, drove the 15 mile distance to the new home and moved all the furniture where we wanted it and assembled it, finished up by 2 p.m. that day. They returned to pick up the empty boxes for us also when we were done unpacking. All of the folks we worked with that were associated with this move were friendly, easy to work with, careful with our furniture, dishes, etc. It was an enjoyable experience to be able to laugh & joke with them & hear and watch how they worked with each other. The best part was that the actual bill at the end was about $100 less than the estimate. Dean and Daphne Emery have a very good business ethic and awesome people working with them. I highly recommend their company.

They came on time, did a good job packing on the first day and moved us in on the second day. The place we were in was a mess, and they managed to find and pack nearly everything. They did pack some things I had marked as leave and missed a few things that we would have wanted them to take, but they came in almost 12oo under the estimate and were fast, friendly, anddid a very good job considering the state of the house in the first place. They even made sure that they didn't smell like tobacco when they moved us, which was good since my husband has cancer and I am asthmatic.

Could not be happier. I had never used movers before to move, and I will never move again without them! Emery's arrived a few minutes early and reviewed the set up and how things were currently. They were very organized. Two men took most of the things from the apartment to the truck while the third man organized everything most efficiently, safely and securely in the truck. They communicated about what worked best next. I had accidentally packed away my tools and they even unhooked my washer lines for me and allowed me to borrow a screwdriver. I was surprised that we were completely loaded in less than 2 hours. At the new home they got right to work and began unloading, consistently checking with me on placement of furniture, staging, etc. They never stopped offering assistance. The unloading process was EXTREMELY efficicent and well organized. After they were completely unloaded, they asked what else they could do to help me and wanted to make sure I didn't need anything else moved around. There was an existing washer and dryer at the new home and they even swapped those out for my originals. I couldn't have been more pleased with the work by Emery's. They live up to the reputation they have on Angie's list and I am thrilled to provide all positive feedback for them!

The movers were scheduled to be at the apartment at 9am but got stuck in traffic and were a little late. However, they did not charge me, which I thought was fair. They were very polite and professional. I had several glass tables, including a 60" diameter glass dining room table that is extremely heavy. Nothing was broken or damaged during the move. They were also extremely efficient - they arrived at 9:30 am and the entire move was done by 2:30pm. That includes loading the items at the apartment, travel to my home (approx 10 minutes away), and unloading. Also, there were a couple heavy items in the house that I needed moved from upstairs to the garage - they gladly helped out. Overall, the money spent was 100% worth it! And, as an Angie's list member, I received a discount. I enjoyed my experience with Emery's Movers and would recommend them to others.

The movers showed up on time, and got right to work. I think they were a bit surprised at how much I had (the apartment is big!) but they forged on and worked hard. They were extremely polite, cheerful, and hardworkers. There was a nice Angie's List discount that i was eligible for that made the experience even better! I would definitely recommend them to any of my friends.

They were great about calling and following up with me throughout the process. They were all very personable, professional and I would highly recommend them.

Our advice is to avoid this company. We regret that we feel it necessary to make this recommendation, as the individuals actually on the job did very good work. Our perception is that there is a problem with the company's integrity with regards to deceptive pricing. The company knew every detail of the job ahead of time. Regardless, company grossly under-estimated the cost, we now believe, in order to get our business. Then upon delivery of the items, had the movers present us with a bill for about 40% over the estimate. After some heated discussion, company lowered to 27% over the estimate. We found the experience particularly disappointing because we were certain that the details had been conveyed ahead of time and that both parties were on the same page in terms of what final cost would be. Afterwards, we were told things like (paraphrasing) "It was only the drive time estimate, not the total job estimate", Thus from our point of view, the company cannot be trusted. Other issues: Company chose a substantially less efficient route than the best route (safest and fastest) available, which added to cost. Did not consult customer regarding route ahead of time. Omitted some cost factors from the estimate that were only mentioned after the fact. These are factors that we believe, in a good faith effort, would have absolutely belonged in the estimate. To reiterate, we are not dissatisfied with the service provided. The issue is about how the company did business with us.
