The crew showed up on time at the designated location with two trucks. Both trucks were loaded at the same time, thus being quite efficient. The crew placed everything in the home where we asked and handled all with care as evidenced by no scratches or damages of any type. The crew was highly professional and worked well as a team. The price was very fair and it was a pleasure doing business with them. They will be #1 on my call list the next time I need a moving crew.

I called Daphne on 7/23/2012 at 9:00 am. She promptly returned my call and scheduled an appointment, at my request and need, two days later. The gentlemen arrived on time. They worked promptly, efficiently and without delay. They delivered the furniture at the requested address and were done within the 3 hour estimate. They made the move without damage to the furniture or my house. I have used Emerys before and will continue to use them for my moving needs. They are as advertised.

I phoned Emery's after receiving a very high estimate from the mover I used to move into this house. Daphne answered the phone promptly and listened to what I needed. I am a senior and a member of Angie's and she gave me a price lower than what the other company was going to charge me for trip costs. I was told two men would come and the estimate was a flat quote. The men were running a bit late, but they called 10 minutes before they were due to say they would be delayed a bit. They were only 1/2 hour late, and the job took one hour. Shane and Daniel were very pleasant but also very professional. They knew what they were doing. They went about their business and moved the mostly heavy wooden furniture, placing it where I wanted. I like to do business with local companies and would not hesitate to recommend Emery's, and especially Shane and Daniel, to anyone who wants good movers at a very reasonable price.

I used them as part of Angie’s List Big Deal. They were very good. They were very professional and they were careful with my things.

I requested several quotes through Angie's list and received two. I needed the move done the next Saturday and only Emerys could do the move that soon. The appointment was set for between 9:00 am and 9:30 am and they arrived at 9:10 am. They looaded the first group of items in about 20 minutes with no problems. They did a good job of being careful with all the items and my home and nothing was damaged. They then delivered those items without any problems and returned a couple of hours later with the table and chairs and delivered those in just a few minutes without any problems too. The entire job took about 3 hours which is very reasonable since I have drove that trip myself many times. No items were damaged during the moves and the 2 gentlemen that did the work were polite and professional.

THE MOVERS ARRIVED EARLY. THEY WERE VERY COURTEOUS AND RESPECTFUL OF MY PROPERTY. WE ARRIVED AT THE CHURCH A FEW MINUTES AHEAD OF THE PERSON WHO HAD THE KEY TO ORG US IN, AND THEY GRACIOUSLY WAITED WITHOUT COMPLAINT. THE PRICE I PAID IS WHAT I WAS QUOTED, AND I WOULD NOT HESITATE TO DO BUSINESS WITH THUS COMPANY AGAIN.

It was great. They were very prompt and professional. I would definitely use them again.

It went very well. They were there promptly. This was a move from one assisted living home to another. They were very courteous to residents in both places. They were friendly and very pleasant to work with.

I cant say enough about how smoothly this went. The guys were right on time, loaded the van in credibly quickly, and unloaded just as efficiently at the new apartment withot a nick or scratch. The guys were super professional and very patient and friendly. The price was very fair.

Everything went very well. They showed up exactly on time and got right to work. They had the truck loaded in 2 hours and unloaded in 1 1/2 hours. They made my life so much easier.

The movers were exactly on time, and unloaded the truck quickly and professionally. They also made sure everything was where I wanted it to be before they left. Everything went very smoothly, and I'd use them again!

The company damaged my new dryer by putting a dent in the top. I'm guessing they placed something on top of the dryer that dented the top panel. As well, they damaged two pieces of furniture that they packed and covered. With each, they taped the broken pieces pack using clear tape so it wasn't until they had moved me in to my new loft, left and the sun caught the tape and I noticed each. I find it less than professional that they did not have the decency to take responsibility for the damage they created. The owner came out when called and committed to getting the materials to repair. I've never heard from him since he came out to view the damage.

The three gentlemen from Emery's arrived at exactly at their stated time. They were efficient and careful with our furniture. The movers had to deal with a lot of steps and a long, narrow driveway at our home. When construction on our new is completed on our new home, I will use Emery's to move us again.

I had the very best experience with this company and their employees! I called them on short notice (on the Monday prior to the move) to see if they were available for the upcoming Saturday. The lady who helped me, Daphne, was friendly and courteous. She called me right back after checking her schedule. I was very relieved that they had availability. Their feedback spoke for itself! Although they were not able to provide me with their Big Deal coupon (the duration of my move didn't fall within their 6-hour minimum), she kindly offered me a discount nonetheless since I'm an Angie's List member and employee. She reviewed the points of the move, and clearly laid out how it would happen - when they would call and arrive. I was a little stressed about the whole moving process, so, I really appreciated that she took the extra time to do so. Daphne even answered my questions about how much packing materials cost and where I could find them. I ended up not buying their used boxes, which was a mistake. I ran out of time, and didn't getting around to packing my apartment up until the evening before. I had to splurge on new boxes from Staples, which were six-times more than what theirs ran. Word to the wise - get your packing materials from Emery's! On the day of the move, Kevin and Ed called a few minutes before the move to let me know they were close. Upon arrival, they quickly got to work, not wasting any time getting all of my belongings loaded up. They were so efficient that by the time all was unloaded and properly placed at the new location, there was an hour and a half to spare. Kevin and Ed were nice enough to hang around to help my roommate with moving her bed and mattress in, since I had technically paid for 3-hours of moving. Both Kevin and Ed were extremely personable and friendly. They were very careful to handle my items with care. Nothing was damaged in the move. Basically, I have zero complaints from the experience. I would HIGHLY recommend them to any member looking for an experienced, trustworthy company to handle their move. They are the best!

We have moved 9 times, out of state and locally and Emery Movers was by far the most professional, punctual, and courteous movers we've ever used. They covered our floors and railings and were careful bringing our items in. Nothing was broken or scratched. Moving is stressful, but Daphne and her crew made it a pleasant experience. I would highly recommend Emery Movers.

It went fine. Daphne, office mgr, was attentive. Crew arrived punctually. They were polite, presentable and did not smoke on either property. Trucks and equipment all clean. Company could use more "front end" preparation reference - there were a few minor glitches which could have been smoother if company had a contract or just an FAQ sheet. Examples: Plasma flat screen TVs should be replaced in original carton, must be moved without tilting; crew declined to move propane tank with grill (no biggie) or carton of books which burst. Completed job ahead of time,consequently price was 60% of what was estimated.

The best moving company I have ever dealt with! Three guys arrived exactly on time... were very professional... and went straight to work. No breaks, nothing broken or scratched and no damage to floors or walls... all issues I have had with other movers. The coupons thru Angie's List are a great deal. Two minor issues... they only take cash (I had to run to the ATM while they were moving my stuff out)... and the driver did not know where the new location was. They need to install a GPS unit in their trucks. :-) Highly recommended!!!

They did not come in advance to estimate the size of household and requirements for truck. It took two days rather than one day but they worked hard and came back the 2nd day with addl men and equipment to move it all. I was not as prepared as I should have been and they were patient about waiting for me to give direction and get myself organized. Daphne and all six men had great attitudes and helped relieve my stress by reassuring me it would work out. I was under a deadline to be out of the house before the new owners came and the movers were helpful and supportive. One item was damaged but they willingly reimbursed me for a new replacement. Very accomodating and great to work with. We used them for a previous move four years ago and stored alot in their facility while our house was being built.

When I questioned the driver he claimed he was lost. He hardly had any teeth in his mouth and didn't offer any explanation as to why he had entered the driveway. I wouldn't hire these guys to take out the garbage.

It was a great experience. They arrived on time and didn't waste any time unloading once the pod arrived from out of town. They finished in the amount of time that we estimated.

We had an excellent move with Emery! I would recommend them highly. As everyone knows, when you're moving there are always complications. We started the day off by road construction being done on the only road into our apartment complex. We weren't aware of this until the movers came to the door (on time) and told us they had to leave their truck and walk back to the apartment. They then went back to the construction site and worked with the construction workers to be allowed in to do our move. That was the first sign of their professionalism. They let us know they were there and ready to work, and negotiated with the construction workers to be able to get the job done. They introduced themselves, we walked around and they sized up the job, asked questions and then quickly got started. They were aware that we were cleaning as they were moving and worked with us. They re-taped several pieces of furniture that they were concerned would be harmed taping it the way we did. That wasn't their problem, they were just that nice and didn't want any of our furniture to be damaged.They worked quickly, and carefully. No complaints, just got the job done. Asked several times if they could help us with anything else. We had no damage to our belonging or either dwelling. I will call Emery for every move and I will recommend them to everyone I know.

I left a message, last week for these folks to call me. I gave details of the upright piano I need moved. They never called me back.

Daphne Emery, the owner, was prompt in sending an initial quote and in all email replies during our interactions regarding the move, including to briefly explain the company's liability policy and how they would wrap the piano in case of rain when I asked. With a 5% discount and additional $35 off for being an AL Member, this company's quote was lowest by at least $100 between all other companies' quotes. Since I purchased the piano from a couple online, their schedule had to be taken into consideration for the move, and Daphne worked with me to find a date when her moving team was willing to work an evening shift, since the company did not have a weekend time available when we set the appointment. She held her quote price firm when I asked about any "hidden fees" (there were none, which is always a good mark for a company)! The appointment was set for 5:15pm (this was the latest the movers wanted to have it set for due to the drive back to Indy from Btown, and the earliest the previous owners could be at the house for the movers to arrive). I arrived early at 4:30pm and called the main company line to be sure everything was okay. I left a message with my name and phone number, and asked them to call back if anything was amiss--I did not receive a call back, and so assumed all was fine. The previous owners arrived home on time, and we waited for the movers. When the movers were not yet at the previous owners' house by 5:45pm WITH NO CALL from anyone, I called the main company line and Daphne answered. I explained that the movers had not yet arrived. She said they were enroute and should arrive shortly, and we discussed it was probably traffic/construction. We hung up, and the previous owners and I continued to wait (with the previous owners having prior time obligations to meet based on the initial moving appointment time of 5:15pm). At 6:24pm, when the movers had still not arrived WITH NO CALL from anyone, I contacted Daphne again. She demonstrated surprise that they weren't there yet, since they had left "an hour and a half ago" (putting them leaving Indy at 5pm for a 5:15 appointment in Btown), and she would call them and get right back to me. She called back just a few minutes later and said they had just gotten off the highway and were close. I asked if there would be a reduction in price given that it was now 1 hour and 15 minutes past the appointment time without an explanation for the tardiness. She said no, that had it been a time they normally work, she might have considered a reduction, but given the rush hour and construction in Btown and the later appointment time, there would be no reduction on top of the original discounts. The movers showed up about 10-15 minutes later (close to 6:45pm), and seemed surprised that we didn't know they'd been sent on another move right before leaving Indy that had taken longer than expected. They confirmed leaving Indianapolis at 5pm for our 5:15 appointment. To their credit, they got right to work and were very careful with the piano, communicating well together to move it as smoothly and carefully as possible. They were extremely careful to strap the piano securely to the inside of the truck once on, and during the drive to Indianapolis, they went slowly to avoid as much bumping around as possible. They did forget the piano bench--the previous owner had to stop us in his truck to tell us it had been left behind, then went to fetch it. But the movers did wrap it carefully and did not ask me to take it in my car for ease of packing--they assumed complete responsibility for forgetting it. When we left for Indianapolis at 7:43pm, I called Daphne again to discuss a reduction on the price. She said she had talked with the movers already on the phone about how things had gone. At first she seemed short with me, and said she would decrease the price by $50 for the inconvenience, but she wasn't making any money on this move. I thanked her and told her I appreciated her being willing to reduce the price given the inconveniences that had occurred, and we hung up amicably. I feel that the movers and Daphne made an effort to correct the miscommunications on their parts by reducing my costs by the $50, and I am satisfied by the end result. I do want to say that despite the frustration and issues regarding the arrival and left bench, I do feel that the movers took my concern for the piano's safety seriously and were very careful during the move. They did not bump the piano into anything, and they moved slowly and carefully during every step of the process. They were polite and straightforward with me, and they were honest about what had happened from their end. I am disappointed that it took a confrontation with Daphne to have the situation rectified, and I also feel she was presented with multiple missed opportunities to communicate with me what was happening with the movers' lateness in an immediate and honest manner. But in the end, the piano was moved safely, the movers were kind and careful, and Daphne reduced the price appropriately given the factors. I am grateful to have my piano, and I would hire Emery's Movers, LLC again with the caveat that communication the "day of" between myself and the company be more immediate and straightforward next time. I do recommend this company to others, given the quality of care given with my piano during the move, and that Daphne did what I believe to be the right thing by accepting the company's responsibility for the circumstances through the reduced price.
