The project went beautifully. Both Kathy and Dave were very helpful in the decision-making process as we considered options such as size and design of the porch, what type of materials to put on the walls and floors, etc. Dave and his workers were diligent, dedicated, and very professional. The quality of their work cannot be surpassed, and their insistence on excellence in every aspect of the project was something we especially appreciated (including ensuring that all local building ordinances are followed and all required permits are obtained). We also greatly admire Dave's ability to think creatively in solving problems. When we ran into unexpected issues relating to re-locating the overhead wires and also issues relating to the septic system, he consulted other professionals and considered various options before we decided on the best course of action. Another example of Dave's ability to think creatively while also saving his clients money was his idea of salvaging and re-using some of the lumber that had been in the old deck. :) This was the second major project which All Phase did for us, and we are now planning a third and hoping to work with them again. They are fabulous to work with! Oh, and I need to say something about the "In-Home Dinner for 4" coupon that is offered to Angie's List clients -- we recently had our dinner and it was absolutely scrumptious! Kathy delivered everything in labeled containers with complete directions for how to warm up and prepare the dinner, and it was delicious! She even provided the recipes for everything, which on the one hand surprised me because some people would closely guard such precious family recipes, but then when I think about Kathy's generous nature, it's really not surprising after all. :)
Description of Work: NEW SCREENED-IN PORCH. This project involved the design and construction of a beautiful 14'x16' screened in porch with skylights, two doors to the backyard, and installation of a beautiful outward-swinging French door set (leading from the house to the porch where previously there had been a decrepit set of sliding patio doors). The project also involved removal of an old deck, re-locating the service wires to a different part of the house, and dealing with a complicated situation caused by the septic tank system in the backyard.
All Phase Group provided us with a timeline which was over Thanksgiving Holiday and they met the timeline perfect. The owner was in constant touch and responded the same day answers. The communication was excellent. The work involved some use of sub contractors, all of whom were very professional. The workers tried their best to control dust, with only one setback, which was understandable. Each contractor would clean their work area every day and disposed of all waste from the job. The short story began with an estimate and a referral from our youngest son who was very pleased with All Phase Group. We obtained three quotes and All Phase was not the lowest but was the most professional. We met with the owner to look at granite and quartz tops, plumbing fixtures and new cabinet hardware. When all the components were selected, they gave us the start date, timeline, and all required phone number and email addresses. Kathy Cuppy, owner, requires all questions, problems (if any), and change orders go through her for proper control. She visits the job to assure it is on schedule and the work is being completed as agreed. All Phase Group does one job at a time for control, quality, and professionalism. You cannot ask for better communication. We took progress photos every day and these pictures confirm what iI have stated. I know all future work I require on our home will be done by All Phase Group. I will not seek bids.
Description of Work: Redesign kitchen to remove island and totally modernize. The work involved removal of island, use of some existing cabinetry from island, plus have custom cabinetry made for completion of new designed layout. The work performed included replacement of the hardwood floor, new plumbing, enhanced electrical including under cabinet lighting (hard wired to switch), installation of quartz countertop, bookcase, sink, disposal, and wood staining to match existing cabinets. The work required through ceiling access in our finished basement for plumbing and to add additional wiring. All drywall repair and new installation was completed to "ready to paint" status. The end product is absolutely perfect.
Dave, Kathy and their crew were great. I would trust them with any project. They were there when they said they would be, finished when they said they would, and the quality of the work was excellent. Kathy gave great suggestions before getting started, and kept up with communication as the project progressed. They have a different approach to billing compared to many contractors (they provide an estimate up front, but bill by the hour as they go), but it worked very well and I ended up preferring it.
Description of Work: Rebuilt staircase, repaired sagging foundation, replaced flooring (including sections of damaged subfloor), new carpentry and trim, painting of cathedral ceilings and high walls, new deck, new back door

The project went very well. Kathy is a terrific communicator and coordinator, and was a great help in making design decisions. Dave is a professional par excellence who takes great pride in his work -- we were thrilled to have someone with his experience and knowledge tackling this challenging project. The finished rooms are beautiful, and we are so happy to have all the significant repair jobs taken care of. Dave's crew and all their sub-contractors were professional, hard-working and pleasant. They all did a nice job of protecting our carpet and cleaning up each day.
Description of Work: Our project was fairly involved. It included (1) converting a small half-bath into a laundry room, (2) a total makeover of a guest bathroom, and (3) converting a former laundry area into a kitchen pantry/storage closet. In the process, they confirmed our suspicions that a poorly installed water heater and other plumbing problems caused by previous owners had caused significant damage under the house, so parts of the floor and walls had to be repaired or replaced. We also replaced all the plumbing, installed a new water heater, and made miscellaneous repairs in the crawlspace, including HVAC ductwork repairs.

All Phase are our go-to people for work of this kind. They were their exceptionally friendly folks. They explained our options and even accompanied us to the appropriate supplier of doors to help us make a choice that we'd never regret. The work was done to a high standard, with good humor, and All Phase's normal attention to the time issues that face busy homeowners. We couldn't be happier with David and Kathy Cuppy and the All Phase team.
Description of Work: All Phase removed a deteriorated main entrance to our 1930s home. They helped us choose a replacement entry and door that would preserve the style of the home and capture the resonances of the earlier entry and door, but do so with modern, durable, heat-and-cold-efficient materials.

The project was started on time and steadily continued until completion. Final completion was delayed a few days as we needed to await the delivery and installation of counter tops in the bar. When I was not at home the workers were able to enter and leave my house with use of a lock box. When the work was completed the result was a beautifully finished basement.
Description of Work: My basement was unfinished. They completely finished the basement including bar and bathroom. They referred me to a person who guided me through selection of televisions and he then performed the installation of the televisions and speakers.

This was our first foray into any type of large scale remodeling, so we were a bit concerned. Kathy and Dave were completely professional and upfront every step of the way. I was especially impressed with the level of communication through email and telephone. Any changes along the way were quickly addressed and rectified in an efficient manner. I was especially pleased at how quick the demolition was, and how clean the house was left afterward. The workers were very considerate about not leaving any messes behind. We had many questions throughout the process, and Dave was extremely knowledgeable and explained everything. The level of craftsmanship was extremely high, and we are both extremely happy with the result. I would highly recommend All Phase Group, Inc. to anyone looking for a high quality contractor. Thanks Kathy and Dave for our awesome new bathroom! Jerrod & Casey
Description of Work: We had our guest bathroom completely gutted and remodeled. This included rerouting all the plumbing, and installing a new bubbling tub where we once had a stand up shower. We also had to level the floor for tile, and get a new vent installed. We live in a 1955 ranch style home, and this bathroom was last updated in 1983. We have kept almost all of our home in it's original condition because of our love for mid-century design. However, this bathroom was the only room in our house that did not reflect this design aesthetic .

Dave selected our wood carefully, artfully, and answered all our questions along the way. The wood grains on the doors were wonderfully paired and the cabinetry is so well made!
Description of Work: Excellent job building custom bathroom cabinetry. Careful and precise. Great enthusiasm and responsiveness. Cabinetry turned out breathtakingly gorgeous.
We purchased a 1925 bungalow in need of renovation in the kitchen and the upstairs bathroom. After talking to three contractors, we knew that the fourth one - All Phase Group - was the one for us. Dave and Kathy Cuppy are the inimitable partners to get the job done. Having been in this business for many years, they have perfected their operation. Kathy was a pleasure to work with as we determined what we wanted to do. She kept all of the subcontractors and us on schedule. Kathy knows exactly where to find what you want and will accompany you to the vendors. There is no doubt that Dave is a true artisan. He is very knowledgeable and fastidious about his work. He custom built the pantry and shelves/drawers in our kitchen which turned out absolutely beautiful. We couldn't believe how well the bathroom looked considering what we started with. Dave's touch with the built in cabinet and mirror frame made the difference. The work was completed on time and we couldn't be happier with our renovations. The best part was working with people who have ethics and do what they say they will do.
Description of Work: Kitchen and one bathroom were totally gutted. In the kitchen, new cabinets, windows and lighting were installed plus a custom built pantry and recessed shelves and drawers. The bathroom was updated with a large shower, new cabinets and flooring. The builder built a custom wall cabinet and mirror. And, of course, as with a 87 year old house, they had all the issues you might imagine.

All Phase leadership (Dave and Kathy) provided overall project direction and supervision of multiple subs, which required lots of coordination. The project included some surprises requiring regrouping, but Cuppy's were always on top of the issues, explained them clearly, and offered solutions. With all the plumbing, elect, HVAC work involved, and frequently working in very tight spaces, we were very impressed with the Cuppy's effort to coordinate all the trades. We have seen garages converted to living space before, and frequently will say to ourselves "Oh, I can tell that used to be a garage." With our conversion, we were very pleased with the finished exterior look especially, as you really cannot tell that it it used to be a garage. Given the distance from Indy, we were also initially concerned with not being able to visually inspect progress more frequently and ensure the right decisions were being made at major milestones. Those concerns were quickly put to rest when we saw Dave's attention to detail and finding the best solution to each problem they faced. We also got regular updates via email, e-photos, and phone conversations. These people definitely know how to make sure everything is done right, we had no concerns about any corners getting cut. Where there were hiccups on the project, there were always minor and immediately dealt with in a professional and competent manner. Their attention to detail and making it look and function perfectly was very obvious from the start. We spoke with numerous contractors before selecting All Phase, and we could not have made a better choice for this job. The finished product exceeded our expectations and has really transformed the space to be very inviting and quite livable. We would recommend Dave and Kathy and their crew for any remodeling project.
Description of Work: We live in Indianapolis, and wanted to remodel/finish most of the basement of our 50+ year old lake house (about an hour from Indy), and struggled to find a qualified contractor for the job. The project included transforming a basement garage into a master bedroom, installing a new full bathroom in the basement, finishing a basement laundry room, rewiring most of the house with new 200amp service, replacing most of the plumbing throughout the house (including moving the water heater, well pump tank, and softener from old garage space to HVAC room), and rerouting all HVAC ducting through the attic. This was a very complex project given the condition of the original construction, and required lots of regrouping and mods once the demo got underway. One big problem that was resolved with this project is the basement had very low ceilings to start with, and the old duct system made that even worse. So, the project included rerouting all the duct work for upstairs up through the attic to maximize basement living space.

The total project went very well. They finished on time and the bathroom looks great. We were very pleased and really enjoyed working with Kathy and Dave.
Description of Work: We did a complete master bathroom remodel. What sold us on All Phase was Kathy's willingness to go to the suppliers with us to pick out material, cabinets & fixtures. We are not creative people, so having Kathy help us was a tremendous plus. Once The job started, they kept it going and communicated very well. The workers were very professional and conscientious. We especially liked the tiler and the painter. Dave Cuppy is a terrific carpenter and he designed and built our closets. They look great. Overall, this was a very good experience and I have already recommended them to a friend.

We discovered a crack in our ceiling. Called All Phase Group, Inc. who accessed the problem, proposed a plan then came and did the work necessary in a professional, courteous way. After the work was done, the cleanup was done and returned the room to its initial clean room. We are pleased with this company and will use them again in the future.
Description of Work: We had a crack in our dining room ceiling and asked All Phase Group, Inc. to come and inspect what was needed. After the initial inspection they proposed a plan to fix the crack and proceeded imediately. They came, did the work and fixed the crack. The work was done professionally and clean up was done also. We are very pleased with the work and workmen.
Kathy Cuppy arrived on time and we walked through the job that I wanted completed. Kathy provided an extremely thorough presentation of the work they would perform and their pricing structure which, as she explained, includes a 15%-over her sub-contractor costs (which are capped) and no-cap on her costs as project manager and other costs that her company would not absorb. Although her proposal was as thorough as other proposals, and would use their own tradesman (as did the other contractors I selected to bid on this job), the price was $2,500 higher than other bids I received. Although price was not my only consideration, it was one of three criteria that included: 1) CREATIVE SOLUTIONS; 2) ANGIE'S LIST REVIEWS; AND, 3) PRICE. The contractor I chose won on his very creative solutions and price. All contractors who bid were given some latitude to offer solutions that I had not considered. I thank All-Phase Group for submitting a bid within the three week timeframe I established for bid write-ups. UPDATE: Kathy makes a good point. I work in, and deal with, multi-million dollar corporate contracts and the point is well-taken. My experience is rarely for a lower-than-estimate price because there are too many variables that, more often than not, keep the price at the higher-non-fixed cost or, more usually, cause the price to be higher. In construction, these variables seem to be even more of a wild card than they are in the IT industry, where I have more of a comfort level. That said, I am happy with my fixed-price choice because my experience is that it is possible, although quite rare, for a price to be less that a quoted price.
Description of Work: The company developed a bid proposal for work that included the conversion of a half-bath to a full-bath on a cement slab foundation; build one wall with electrical; build a new closet; install handicap bars in bathtub; drywalling; other minor jobs.

I sincerely appreciate the time the customer took to make a report on All Phase Group Inc.for the bid I provided for the work he described to me. I would only want to point out that since my bids are not "fixed"...the cost of having the work done by All Phase hypothetically could have cost less than the other bids because: "if the work had gone faster than expected -- the work would have cost less." Thatis why the "cost plus" method of bidding and billing is so very fair. You only pay for what you receive. --Kathy Cuppy

Kathy Cuppy did an excellent job of coordinating the subs. She handled the ups and downs in a very responsive and professional manner. We had an unexpected cost increase due poor communication from one sub. The other sub was a month late delivering a few final touch items. Kathy took care of these problems quickly and in a fair manner. All other subs were great. Communication with Kathy was always timely and complete. Dave Cuppy has high standards of craftsmanship which exceeded our expectations and he expects that from his suppliers. He built a custom entertainment center that was exactly to specification with high craftsmanship. All Phase will finish whatever basement you want in a high quality manner. The cost was higher than other quotes, but the value obtained was well worth it. They have a great group of workers that work on one project only until it is done (no diverting to other jobs during the project). I highly recommend All Phase for basement finishing or re-modeling.
Description of Work: Basement Finish Project: Full bath. entertainment center, bedroom, closet, storage area, bar/kitchenette. We had a recommended layout design for 1500 sq. ft. of basement from a professional decorator. Dave & Cathy Cuppy from All Phase helped bring the design to life (with computerized layout) and had great suggestions for refining the design.

They were wonderful to work with. Their employees are trustworthy. It's just a great company.
Description of Work: They finished out our entire basement.
The project was estimated to last four weeks to a month. Most of the work was finished in 3-1/2 weeks with paining and final finishing after that. The original kitchen cabinet supplier was unable to supply cabinets required or they would have had to been heavily modified to work, if at all. It was decided that All Phase would build and match the existing cabinets and the painter was able to match the original stain and finish. Buy building the cabinets they were able to exactly match the alignment and door and drawer sizing and alignment. Matching hardware was located to match the existing custom hardware. All work, including the several extras requested, was finished ahead of schedule. All work was done very professionally and the craftsmanship was outstanding. Clean-up was meticulous everyday and dust was kept to a minimum with any dust cleaned up each day. All floors and carpets were covered to prevent soiling or damage. All tools and equipment were put up in the garage at the end of each day, keeping the living area available every evening and weekend. We have used All Phase in the past and were very happy with their work and were extremely happy with the professional work performed by their crew and subcontractors – the plumbers, electricians, painters and finishers were all experienced and their work was outstanding! The rates were competitive and the quality is the best I have experienced for this type of work. Everyone put in a full day’s work each day and we were there to observe most of the work, except the work done in the shop building the cabinets, shelves, doors, etc.
Description of Work: KITCHEN: The services performed included relocating the walk-in kitchen pantry around the corner so that a double convection oven could be installed and building matching (to existing) cabinet with doors and drawers and installing the double oven and matching the cabinetry doors and drawers exactly in cut, color, fit and finish. Additionally, the current cook top and oven unit were removed with exactly matching, seamless cabinet top to existing and built cabinetry with a induction cook top installed and a warming drawer with matching cabinetry with drawer and access, again matching exactly in cut, color, fit and finish. The walk-in pantry was completed with a new door and frame with new shelves and greater storage capacity. Pantry floor was tiled with tile provided by owner matching existing tile and grout work for seamless entry. Trim and walls were painted where necessary in kitchen and pantry. Additional work requested on the job were several roll out shelves which were also finished to exactly match existing cabinetry. Additional electrical work was performed for accent light above the kitchen cabinets. New light was installed in the pantry and laundry room off the kitchen. The new installation looks as if it was part of the original with the matching built cabinets and stain and finish to match exactly! LIVING ROOM ENTRY MODIFIED FOR CONVERSION TO OFFICE: Existing arched entry to living room was squared and framed for the installation of glass paned French doors with all trim and adjacent walls and French doors painted. Looks as if the doors and framing have always been there! Additional, ceiling fan installed requiring electrical lines to fan and control with minimal holes and access points which were all covered and painted to match existing. Some hardwood flooring had to be installed to match existing with needed opening modifications. BASEMENT FULL BATH: Full bath with shower, toilet, sink/vanity and light was installed in basement area already partially rough-in plumbed for ½ bath. Complete plumbing, electrical, framing, dry wall, finishing and painting with floor ceramic tile and tile backsplash for sink installed. Full painting of framing and wall completed as well. ADDITIONAL WORK: Old pantry shelving was installed in the garage and was expanded with additional built in shelves and all had doors built and installed, finished and varnished. Doors also built for upstairs bedroom shelves.

After describing what I wanted, they began with tear-out. Then they proceeded to match the existing cabinetry. Their product was well-made and smooth, that one could run one's face across it. They also shortened a peninsula (between prep and eating area) so we could have more room. They made new drawers in the section that they shortened (and those were just as smooth). The drawers have a nice design, in that one can pull the drawer all the way out. Then they leveled our old lower cabinets, so they could sub-contract a new kitchen quartz surface for us. Then they called in the tile man, who put the tile above the counter for us, all around. Then came the flooring, which was supervised by them. Through it all, Kathy Cuppy helped me with shopping for the tile and floor, and with colors, which I sometimes have trouble with. Then they brought in the best painter ever (I will do separate report on him) to finish the cabinets and to repaint the whole kitchen. The kitchen is lovely. They are the best builders I have ever known; this is our third time to use them: first for a new laundry room and downstairs office and rebuilding of our porch, and then to repair where we had a bad leak, and to do other projects.
Description of Work: They remodeled out kitchen, using many existing cabinets and appliances at our request.

Reading prior reviews, l expected a pleasant experience. Dave Cuppy does do good work and was pleasant in my home. Unfortunately, it was not a positive experience due to Kathy Cuppy's job as the project manager. She told me in February that she would start getting bids from her subs. The work began the middle of May. Kathy reported to me the week that the work was to begin, that the shower needed to be totally gutted and gave me a ballpark figure for the work. She had three months prior to the start of the job to obtain bids and talk to subs and evaluate the job. I gave permission for the demolition without a solid bid from the sub because of her constant assurances of her experience and knowledge and because the demolition was actually beginning at that point. The actual price was much higher than the ballpark figure for the demolition and the sub's work. At the point I was given the actual price for the tile work, the bathroom was already demolished so I used her sub regardless of the price because the bathroom was demolished at that point. The demolition costs were also much higher than what I was led to believe they would be. Kathy said they had no way of predicting how high the demolition costs would be. It seems with their years of experience and knowing the size and scope of the job with potential for mold behind the shower, she could have given me a broad range estimate for the demolition once they knew the shower needed to be gutted instead of the low estimate figure that I was given. I paid the demolition costs because at that point the work was done. In addition to charging 15% over her subs and vendors for her management fee, Kathy also charges an hourly fee for what she says is almost daily monitoring of the job. When I complained about a sub that was in my home for two weeks, Kathy claimed that she was not responsible because I did not tell her at the time. Since I assumed she was monitoring the job due to the fact that she was charging a 15% management fee over his $11,000 charge for his work in addition to an hourly fee for almost daily monitoring of the job, and it seemed clear to me that some days almost no work was done and other days large amounts of work were done, I assumed she knew what was occurring during the two weeks he was working on the job. I also assumed that she knew the work habits of the sub that she hired for the job with her many claims of her faith and confidence in her subs. If I had seen her during those two weeks that the sub was in my home, I might have told her how inconsiderate my family considered her sub to behave, but after the way the job had gone at that point I assumed that she would support her sub which is what she did in the end. Kathy puts a real estate lock box on doors for her and her subs to enter job sites. One of my neighbors reported to me toward the end of the job that Kathy left the key in the door with the door open. My neighbor entered my house to check on things when she saw the door open with the key in the door. She heard Kathy and a sub in the bathroom talking and did not confront them. After that, I had the lock box removed and made myself available for the remainder of the job rather than allowing Kathy or her subs to use the lock box. When I received the final bill, there was a charge higher than what the paper work supported what Kathy had paid to one sub. When I pointed this out to her, Kathy made the appropriate adjustment to my bill. In the end, I never felt my legitimate concerns as a paying customer were give the respect that they deserved. I wish I had never used this company.
Description of Work: They renovated a bathroom and did some work in a couple of other areas.

Response from All Phase Group Inc
Please read my other reports. I have never run into a customer quite like this customer. I am so disappointed. Also, please take a look at this particular job on my website. It is absolutely stunning. It appears in "The News" section and also in the "Bathrooms" section of my "Portfolio." What surprised me about this customer was her unpredictabiltiy from one extreme to the other. Member was one of the nicest customers I have ever had when we started our project together. She thanked me profusely each and every time I drove her to see product at my different suppliers. She said to me when she left for a trip when we were about to do the bathroom demolition, "use your best judgement,Kathy." That is exactly what I did. Her bathroom shower was the most deteriorated we have ever seen and much repair was needed structurally. She authorized the work we did and she picked out very elegant tile to put back in. She added in a new tile floor as well. She was given pricing before the work was started. My tile subcontractor wanted to finish the job to stay on our tight time line. He asked her permission to work late. She and her husband both gave that permission. Afterward, she complained...even though she had given him her permission freely. The tile subcontractor said the homeowners had been so nice to him... he was very confused and upset by this turn of events. (Member thought the tile person was too expensive after she was billed even though she had been given a quote before the work was done. I sought professional opinions that substantiated this tiler was priced fairly and very good at what he does. I even reimbursed Member for the fee she paid for a comparative estimate after- the- fact. Her comparative estimate came in exactly where my tiler's was.) Member was very nice to me one day and not very nice to me the next day. I worked extremely hard for her and tried to remain even and balanced. I brought in cleaning people and fresh flowers before a family get-together where everyone would be looking at her new bathroom. There is nothing I would not have done for her. I know you cannot please everyone...but I do try. Each and every day, in every way I can possibly think of...I try to please my clients. I wish Member the very best. Her bathroom will remain one of the most beautiful we have ever done. For the opportunity to do that work, I am most grateful.
They have several sub contractors who work with them. They were absolutely fantastic. We could not have asked for a better contractor. They were punctual and very clean. The guys were pleasant to have in the house. We actually went on vacation during that time. We had no problems trusting them to work on our house, when we were gone. Husband and wife run the company. The wife does the estimates. The husband is the part of the crew that actually does the work. We didn't dislike anything about them.
Description of Work: We hired All Phase Group Inc last week to refinish my complete basement. They did the drywall, rooms, and walls.

We were REALLY wary as it was our first time to hire a handyman/general contractor. Having heard the many, many horror stories that seem to accompany the hiring of general contractors, we entered into the process with a cautious nature and double-checking everything. Our first correct step was to use Angie’s List. Then, we chose a highly rated business located near to the residence requiring the work. We emailed the All Phase Group and quickly received a phone call from Kathy confirming our appointment on the day and time that was preferred by our schedule. She arrived and with a firm, experienced, and competent hand listened to us as we discussed our service needs to then walk through the home offering suggestions-making inquiries about any other possible tasks that were obvious. She was very cordial and professional while attending to business. A proposal was mailed to us the next day. We were lucky that their workman could work us in within two days and all work was completed two days later. They left the worksite clean and the final bill was extremely reasonable. We are so pleased with this experience that we have passed along their information to our realtor so that they can refer All Phase Group to homeowners. Nervous about hiring a general contractor? No need to be. Just call All Phase Group and look no further.
Description of Work: Kitchen ceiling experienced some water damage. Ceiling needed to be cut out and replaced with drywall. Plastered wall section above door needed some replastering. Upstairs wall had opening to enclosed plumbing - contractor replaced wall cover and PROPERLY re-attached molding around wall cover into plastered wall.
Kathy Cuppy is the organizer, she is the person who keeps everyone on track! You know from day one what the schedule is to be for that particular week. You are given weekly itemized bills. You also have meetings with the construction crew before work begins and as it progresses to discuss changes that might be needed or unforeseen issues.I spoke with Kathy almost daily and with Dave too,he was usually here. Kathy was instrumental in helping me make difficult choices in materials besides setting up the appointments at different suppliers and driving me there. You can drive yourself if you like but we had fun! Dave also has his own shop so he can do custom mill work and cabinets which he did for us, he had to add to some of the cabinets we ordered because of our space being not being quite square. All of of this work was done in less than 8 weeks in time for Thanksgiving !!!!! Did I mention that the dinner at our home for 10 guests on Thanksgiving was provided and prepared by Kathy Cuppy?? What an amazing team Dave and Kathy make together. My husband and I will NEVER use anyone else.
Description of Work: Our kitchen was totally redone. We started out thinking out thinking we might just change a few things but one thing led to another! Our home was built in 1925 and had been remodeled many times before, none of those jobs had been done well we found out. So , the kitchen was taken down to the studs and rebuilt. That included new wiring, plumbing, beautiful granite, lovely cabinets, fixtures, lighting, flooring, appliances etc. It was important for use to use every inch of space without changing the footprint which Dave and Kathy were able to achieve, and to keep the integrity of a1925 year old home but have all the modern elements. Our kitchen is wonderful,as are Dave and Kathy Cuppy to work with... no remodel is easy but they try to make as painless as possible!
From the initial discussion and planning meetings, Kathy took copious notes and provided helpful suggestions for appliance and hardware vendors. The Cuppys provided a realistic estimate of the project, blueprints of the project and included a detailed timeline. In the middle of the project, there was an unplanned $9,000 failure of our sewage grinder pump, but Kathy Cuppy put it on the project list and the repair was completed the next day. The Cuppys have a can-do attitude, and have the expertise and know-how to bring a complicated, many-phased project to a happy conclusion. Kathy was meticulous and extremely detail oriented, and was in my home almost daily to meet with her subcontractors and to ensure that they stay focused and on schedule. Despite the complexities of managing 7 subcontractors, the project was completed precisely on time. I would highly recommend them for almost any home remodeling project without reservation.
Description of Work: This was a large, multi-room project which included the kitchen, living room, and a portion of the lower level. The kitchen remodel project included a dumbwaiter, new kitchen counter tops, new cooktops (both gas and electric), a new exhaust hood and ovens. The dumbwaiter installation was performed by a separate contractor, but Dave Cuppy built beautiful cabinetry to surround the mechanicals, which match the existing kitchen cabinetry perfectly. The hood and countertop installations required some engineering, and Dave was up to the task. The flooring included a new tile floor in the kitchen and hardwood floors in the entryway and living room. The fireplace in the living room was a total makeover - new marble facing and a Dave Cuppy original mantle. It is gorgeous. The lower level required some drywall work for the chase that encloses the dumbwaiter, and it looks as though it was original to the home.

All Phase completed a kitchen and living room remodel for me at the end of 2010, and I was enthusiastic about asking them to do another project for me. I was not disappointed. During the project one of the windows in my sunroom cracked (unrelated to the project), and Kathy Cuppy once again added it to her project to-do list as she did with an unplanned problem that arose in a previous project. The wall unit is a terrific addition to the home, and makes a room that was previously unused to one that I spend time in every day.
Description of Work: All Phase built an expansive built-in solid cherry wood wall unit in my first floor office which included a desk, bookshelves and several storage cabinets, some with slide out shelves. Dave Cuppy designed the unit from a description of what I wanted, hand selected the raw cherry wood himself and engineered a masterpiece. It fit perfectly into the space, and when finished it was stunning.
