1800 Water Damage of S. Indianapolis

Ricardo came, got into the crawl space, and reported there was not a significant amount of water to warrant being pumped out. He was honest and said that amount of water didn’t warrant being pumped out, since their minimum charge is $500. Really appreciated his honesty and will definitely call if we have water problems again.

With small children, I am often concerned having workers in my home, but the two man crew were fantastic and I was quickly put to ease and felt comfortable with them. This is my second sewer water flood backup and second time using 1-800-WATER-DAMAGE. DOUG SNELL and his employees went out of their way to help me with my second emergency flood. I wasn't even on the daily schedule, but due to the emergency nature and it being flood number two, they were able to get out to my house that very night. They set up fans for drying, massive and lots of fans. Then they came by to tear away all the bad stuff, padding and base boards. And spray some good smelling stuff for germs. These folks really care about their job, how they do their job, and are very professional. I would use them again in a heart beat. But I'm hoping not to have another flood!

Doug came out to our home within an hour of us giving him a call. He informed us of the work that needed to be done. I was concerned that my home insurance company would not cover the cost of the cleanup but he assured me that the work they would do is "industry standard" and that all casualty insurance companies would cover the cleanup. After meeting with Doug, his workers came and professionally set up fans, cut away drywall, removed carpeting, and cleaned up the awful mess we had at home. Bob worked with my insurance company to make sure all their charges were covered under the claim. Everyone we encountered from 1-800-waterdamage in Greenwood was just fantastic to work with. They kept us informed of the work that was required and acted in a completely professional manner. I would 100% work them again and recommend them to anyone who has had the misfortune of having a water-based home insurance claim.

The water line to our refrigerator busted in January and must have been running for several hours because it started pouring through my ceiling, down my walls inside my garage and spraying everywhere up in the attic. I called a reputable plumbing company to come out to figure out what caused the leak, and knew from experience where I work that 1-800-Water Damage was the BEST to work with. I had no personal experience with them, but have seen and heard of their stellar work. Doug came out right away and accessed the damage and send Richardo out shortly after to start hooking up the drying machines. Richardo is AMAZING! I could not have asked for a more kind and empathetic person. He explained what he would be doing, why he would be doing it, and what I should expect over the course of the next couple of days. He called daily to check in on us, and even came by to check out the progress. The drying system they used was pretty genius, and they had everything dried within a few days. Richardo came by to take down the equipment and once again was awesome, what an access to have on your team! My insurance company dragged their feet a little bit, but Doug was in contact with them just as much as I was, which made things more smoothly. He got them his estimates and paperwork to them pretty fast, which sped up the process. They then sent Pat out to fix some holes in the ceilings and repaint. Pat did a really good job. My ceilings look brand new. I was just really impressed with all the work they completed and how well they handled my claim. I still haven't received my insurance check yet, but they're not hounding me for payment which is a HUGE stress relief! I would use these guys again in a heartbeat and recommend them to friends, family and customers now. Thank you guys!

These guys were great. Spent over a hour checking my walls ,floors for moisture. After all their work they said there was no problem. This was a free checkup that proved to me these guys a trustworthy. If I ever have a problem with water damage I will call these guys.

Doug and Bob were great. They came to our home quickly and set up their equipment. Their quick response allowed our basement to begin drying out much faster........therefore, eliminating the need to replace drywall, trim, etc. We have had a terrible year with water in the basement, even after replacing the sump pump. 1-800-WaterDamage was wonderful to work with. Experienced a sudden and unexpected leak in the half bath on he main floor that impacted the hall and crawl space. One of the owner?s Bob Betts came to inspect the extent of water damage the same day they were called. Bob worked directly with my insurance claims adjuster which made the whole process very easy for me. Bob came daily to check on the drying process. Dryers were in the hall, bathroom and crawl space. A contain barrier was erected for safety since the floor and sub floor in the impacted areas had to be removed as well as to contain the heat to the impacted areas. The drying process took roughly 6 days. Overall it went very well. Bob came to check the equipment when he said he would. He provided clear understandable communication about the problem, what he was doing, and communication with my insurance claims adjuster. There was only one lapse in communication regarding the plastic in the crawl space that needed to be replaced, but this was quickly remedied. The day Bob removed the last of the equipment, he ran out of plastic that was being replacement in the crawl space. I was not aware he had run out of plastic and became aware when I asked him if replacing the plastic was a service provided by his company or if I needed to contact another company to replace the plastic. It was at that time Bob told me that he had run out and we set a date for him to come back in about a week. The week delay was due to all of the storms and damage in the area resulting in a high volume of work for him and this delay was agreed upon by me.

Doug was great. He located all the areas where there was water damage from a broken water pipe under the living room floor. He was friendly,professional and very knowledgeable. He was very patient with all my enduring questions .He was so very through in making sure all was well and dry. I am very pleased with the work. I would highly recommend this company

I had water leaking through my ceiling from upstairs laundry room at 8:45 pm on a Friday night. They were there to start the mitigation process by 9:30pm that night, even before the plumber was done fixing the problem. They were very helpful, courteous, and professional in their assessment of the damage and formulating a plan to take care of the problem. I really appreciated their knowlege and calm demeanor which helped me cope with this stressful situation. The next day they brought in the equipment to commence drying out the floor, carpet, and ceiling. They clearly explained what I should expect and how the equipment worked along the way. They have a great process to dry out the ceiling spaces which saved me a substantial amount of time, trouble, and money by not having to remove large parts of my kitchen ceiling. They were very carefull and respectful of the rest of my house by wearing booties to cover their shoes and putting down protective covering on my floors to prevent and dirt or damage. They were honest and open about estimated costs and worked closely with me regarding the insurance claim I had to file. The mitigation lasted several days and was based on daily meter readings which determined the amount of moisture still left in the affected areas. They were always considerate of my schedule for these return assessment visits and always arrived promptly for the scheduled appointments. They worked diligently with me to arrange for contractors to replace the laundry room flooring, carpeting, and the minimal repair to the ceiling (thanks to their less invasive process involving the ceiling). I hope I don't have to, but I would certainly work with them again without any hesitation. I would gladly recommend this company to my friends, family, and neighbors.

This was the second time I used them. Both times they were there in less than an hour, with the all right equipment. The first job was on a weekend and huge. They immediately ripped out and removed drywall, insulation, flooring and sub-floor and installed numerous dryers and dehumidifiers. They worked seamlessly with my insurance, and had great contractors for putting it all back. The last one was small, and at night, but they still responded in less than an hour, and in less than 24 hours everything was dry and put back together. Big or small, if you have water where it shouldn't be, you cant go wrong with these guys.

My preferred HVAC/Plumbing contractor that I called to repair a slab leak recommended 1-800 Water Damage of Greenwood. I was very pleased with the work that Bob and Doug (co-owners) performed. They were very prompt (showing up within a couple hours of first call) and also very courteous and professional. They obviously knew what they were doing and worked very efficiently and explained the process of what they were doing thoroughly (since I like to ask a lot of questions). The equipment they used appeared to be state of the art. The whole process moves very fast, and not having ever filed a home insurance claim before, I was a little nervous that everything would go as smoothly as claimed by the plumber and Bob/Doug. So, I was very trusting of them hoping I wouldn't get burned. Bob and Doug interfaced with my insurance adjuster directly (even scheduling one of their daily follow-up visits to occur at the same time the adjuster was at my house) and everything worked out in the end exactly as they said it would. If I ever have water damage in the future I will definitely be calling 1-800 Water Damage of Greenwood - regardless of where I live in the metro area.

the bathrooms is inside my bedroom. After the young man left, I went to my jewelry box. Two pieces of jewelry were missing. I immediately called the company, and I filed a police report. I was victimized, and I am still grieving the loss of a very special ring that I owned and possessed for the last 20 years. The owner and another man presented to my home on Sunday to sit down and talk before evaluating whether the equipment could be removed. They listened to my story, but I received no consolation. All I kept hearing was to keep looking for my ring. I AM DISTRESSED!!!! Also, they did not sweep in the hall after taking their equipment out, and they did not move all of the furniture back to its original place. They only moved one dresser with a television back to it's original place. Last, on Saturday, the young man was scheduled to present to my home at 1p, and I had to call the company to inquire about when he would arrive. The company was responsive, but I wish NOW that I never called because I would still have MY jewelry and peace of mind. It's tough enough having to deal with the unexpected water leak ... sigh ...

The work was done in a very professional manner and with the lease disruption to the areas affected. The employees were very helpful in moving furniture and courteous. The entire process was pleasant one. I would most highly recommend this contractor to anyone with a mold/water damage problem

The work took several days due to the large area requiring remediation. Managers and workers were very helpful. As far as rating the cost of this project it would be very difficult as this is the first mold remediation project I have been associated with. The number of man hours and specialized equipment used it probably was a good price.

This project went very well. The people involved were very knowledgeable and professional. These men went above and beyond to do everything possible to get the work done in a timely manner.

Bob was on site within 45 minutes of my call. After signing a contract, his employees were on site as promised and finished as expected. They were very flexible with my schedule during the 4-day process. I would definitely use them again!
