The desk is an old completely wooden desk that had a lot of wear and signs of use. Because he would have to completely disassemble it to restore it, Bob predicted it would take several months to finish. He ended up completing it about a month and and a half early. He did a great job! The desk looks brand new! I am very pleased with the job. He was very curious and professional. Will definitely be going back for more restorations and will recommend him to other people.

Realigned and glued a broken piece of walnut from an old cylinder top desk from the late 1800's. He also cleaned and repaired the lock that was in the piece, and made some small pieces of of wood to enable us to easily glue the piece back where it belonged. Fortunately the main part of the desk did not have to be transported. Very professional work was evidenced by the projects awaiting completion in his shop. I would not hesitate to take any type of wood repair or fine woodworking to him. Mine was a very small project and he was very prompt and accomodating to do it for me. Price was a fair one cosidering desk was not usable without the repair, and now "Uncle Bill's desk" looks beautiful in our livng room.

My husband's grandmother's old kitchen table and 4 chairs had been stored in our attic for 20 years. After some remodeling work, we have the perfect spot for them in our home, but they were in terrible condition. I decided having them refinished would be my anniversary gift to my husband so I called Bob. He did a beautiful job with repairing and refinishing every piece while retaining the character and charm of a well-loved antique. My husband was surprised and thrilled with his gift. (When he saw me take it down from the attic, his first response was "You're not going to paint that, are you?!) It brings back years of wonderful family memories for him and it's perfect in it's new location in our home. Thank you, Bob!

Impeccable craftsmanship! Bob and his colleague are both true artisans. Bob does the sanding and preparation work, and his associate stains and applies the final finish. Our antique kitchen table that has seen nearly a century of wear is better than new. The color match is perfect. The new finish is more easy care than before. The deep cat scratches are gone. And due to a delay on another planned job, our table was moved up and ready in a week. Lucky us! Working with Bob is a delight! He is a gentleman, clearly loves the work he does, takes pride in his craft, and is such a nice, nice, man! We will be recommending Bob's Furniture Hospital to others and are grateful to have found such a wonderful resource for additional projects in the future.

Bob is an extremely talented craftsman, his love of wood shows throughout his work. He can fix or repair anything.

He is the nicest guy and wife is very friendly. They were very friendly and worked very well with our schedules. He is a perfectionist and went above and beyond. He was done with the table sooner then he had told us in the estimate and the final cost was cheaper then the estimate he had given us. Overall very happy with this company!

They did a fabulous job. Fixed a gouge in the wood and changed the color.

The water damage to the leaf caused the grain to be raised. The leaf had to be completely sanded and refinished. He matched it to another leaf. The work was excellently done.

He does amazing work - that's about the best I can do explaining what he does. He makes junk that you would throw away into beautiful pieces of furniture. In addition to that he's very easy to work with and super easy to talk and plan with. He's just a really neat guy. The best way for me to get the point across is to show you before and after pictures.

Based on Angie's List reviews I called Bob and left a message about needing someone to repair six dining room chairs and a serving buffet that had nicks and gouges. Within an hour he called me back. He asked me to describe what was wrong and gave me several options. Choosing just to repair nicks/gouges was a time and money saver for me. He gave me an estimate, but told me that until he saw my furniture he could not give me a binding quote. When he got here he determined that my furniture was not as damaged as he pictured, so that the cost per chair would be a bit less. My husband decided to ask whether he could do our living room black lacquer coffee table also. I was told that all the work would take about three weeks. Bob was able to complete the well done work in two weeks. Everything looks so much better. The nicks in the chairs are still there if one looks closely, but the appearance of the chairs is vastly improved. Our black coffee table looks even better than the day we first placed it in our living room. Everything looks so good that I wish I had not waited so long to have this done. Bob explained what they had done and why they did what they did. He was pleasant and concerned about doing right by his customers and their furniture. Bob told me the finish he applied is more durable than what was previously on my chairs. There was no pressure to go for more services. This is the kind of business that I would not have found without Angie's List. Finding Bob's was worth our membership. Bob does all repairs at his Goshen, IN address. For an additional $75. fee each way, he will do pick-ups and delivery. I found this worthwhile, and the cost of service includes this $150.

We had a daybed that we thought we needed to replace due to leg damage. Bob and I spoke on the phone & I sent him a few pics & came up with a solution. I mailed him a sample & he turned 4 new legs that were better than the originals. He even came in under his own time and estimate. Very impressed. I would absolutely use him again.

Bob's Furniture Hospital tended to a piece of furniture that has been passed down in our family for generations. It had been damaged and neglected for years. His tender loving care and skill transformed this piece so that it will be treasured for several more generations. The work was done ahead of schedule. We are very pleased.

Although only time will tell how the repair stands up, we had this repair done a few years ago and it did not last. I am far more optimistic this time around. The legs seem much sturdier and less prone to become loose again.

Bob picked the furniture up, communicated with me along the way to keep me up-to-date regarding the process, and finished on time. The results are gorgeous! I admit that I felt the price was a little bit high, but well worth it in the end. I picked the furniture up in a uhaul truck, and Bob and his colleague spent an hour loading it onto the truck. They really went the extra mile. I'm so happy with the results! I recommend him whole-heartedly.

We had used them previously for the repair of a child’s and adult rocking chair. Bob was in charge of the work. They did a nice job and everything was excellent.
