I keep going back because they are convenient and they are quick to respond and quick to get in. The front desk staff are clear, concise and accurate. Our greyhound loves the visit. The vets are all very caring. They are very conscience of both their patient and their owner, which is nice. It's a good balance. They kept her for a week and a half, and got her back on her feet which was lovely. I liked most about this visit is they were wildly responsive to Grace's needs. So when she wouldn't eat they made special trips and made special food. They worked very hard to get her engaged in life again.

They are very compassionate and really good at treatments. We used them before when we had a dog with lymphoma and they were really good. The wait time is usually five minutes. The staff is very polite. The only thing I would say for improvement and it's really not their fault but sometimes when there's an emergency situation it pushes all of the normal appointments and people waiting back. Sometimes you can wait a very long time. The waiting area is cozy and clean.

Cat survived (but is not speaking to us now!)  They do a good job of treating the animals kindly and professionally, and we trust them with all of our pet care. They offer boarding for pets with medical issues. The facility is large and clean, and they have several providers on staff, and also a pet pharmacy service.

Rocky (our dog) went to Dr. Mills since he was a puppy, he saw some of the other vet's a few times but it was clear our dog was most comfortable and happy seeing Dr. Mills. Dr. Mills was so gentle and compassionate with Rocky, we could not have been happier with him. Rocky had quite a few obstacles in his life, he had knee surgery at 4 or 5 years old and unfortunately cancer took his life before he turned 10. Rocky was a huge part of my family's life and Dr. Mills was vey compassionate and as straight forward as possible. He presented us with the best treatments available, his advice, and most cost/humane options. We chose to give Rocky the best shot at a longer life and even tried new (unproved) medicine to try and combat his cancer. Dr. Mills gave us the best and worst case scenarios and was someone we had complete trust in and really seemed to have Rocky's and My family's best interest in mind. Fortunately, at the time money was not a huge factor and we were able to do everything we could to keep or family member healthy, unfortunately Rocky passed but our whole family felt so comfortable with Dr. Mills and believed he understood and empathized with how important Rocky was to us. Even in Rocky's Last days/weeks, Dr. Mills was available to us and did everything he could to make our goodbye as easy as could be. We appreciated him so much and when I am ready for a new addition to the family I will never take my puppy anywhere else. Thank you so much Dr. Mills!

I always take my dog there. When I make an appointment for my dog, I have to wait a little bit, but I will continue to use them.

At 5 pm on 3/8 we had a dog get hit by the car. He was in severe distress and going into shock. After loading him into our SUV, I proceeded in route to this clinic as I was their customer. I called their offices, and despite this event during normal hours, I received voice mail. While still in route, I kept calling back as their web site called out they were open until 6 pm. After the 3rd call, someone answered. I explained our urgent emergency. I was put on hold and then told they could not help me. They referred me to some 2nd rate emergency service in Indy.
I ended up racing the dog to IndyVet, a first rate emergency center. Franklin Animal Clinic turned their back on me in my hour of need.
On Monday 3/10, I called in and discussed my bad experience with the owner, Dr Mills. He offered to review and have the vet responsible for turning me away call me. I am still waiting for this call.
No display of compassion and care for animals in need.

We had been taking our pets to this clinic for many years. In the early years it was an exceptional clinic. In the last few years my experience has been the quality of care has been both good and bad and customer service has gotten progressively worse. Three incidences have finally made me decide to find a new clinic.
1) In preparing for a family trip we needed to find a place for boarding out dogs and cat, but we learned that not all of their shots were current. So I called this clinic to make an appointment to get shots. They said I could not get an appointment for two weeks which would be too late for our trip. It didn't seem to matter that we had been customers for over 10 years. Fortunately I found another local vet who took us right away.
2) our cat got ill with an ear infection and lacked balance which indicated a possible ear drum puncture, so I took her to this clinic. After giving her prescribed ear drops, she got much worse and her eye began to swell the very next day. I then read the prescription label which warned against using it when there is the possibility of a perforated ear drum. She died a few days later.
3) Last summer I called the clinic to see if they had flea control medicine. They said yes so I went there to get some. When I got there only one person was at the counter in front of me and no one else was in the lobby, so I waited.... in the mean time several other people came in and signed in because they had appointments to see the vets. I did not realize that it was necessary to sign in just to buy something. Even though they knew I had been standing there, I was completely ignored, not even spoken to to explain I should sign in. Finally I figured out on my own what I was doing wrong. At that point I just left and went to another clinic, which is now where we go for veterinarian services (they are also the ones who took us in for shots right away).

Our dog has been a diabetic for a few years and we have been able to control her diabetes without a meter monitoring her by her water intake and diet. He disease has progressed and now we are trying to check her more ofter to administer the proper insulin. Dr Mills also diagnosed her with Cushings Disease years ago. The two diseases cause her to have an increased water intake. We have been able to call Dr Mills or his assistant Abby for assistance to get our dog regulated. We love the Franklin Animal Clinic. Dr Mills was able to diagnose her Cushings disease when a previous vet had overlooked it. They are excellent and always willing to go the extra mile for you. They have recently acquired a place in Greenwood which is even more convenient than going to Franklin from Indianapolis but they have always been worth the drive!

This office was fantastic right from my first worrysome call. She was so understanding of my situation. She was also very informative of what procedures would possibly need done and explained start to finish how the emergency appointment would go. I knew exactly what to expect before coming. I was worried about my very large, but sweet dog encountering another dog that wouldn't take well to him. They reassured me about any and all concerns. very friendly staff ans truly care about the animals. Update: after my first visit, which is when I made this review initally, my dog would not take the medicationtthe doctor prescribed so I went back the following day to do a sryenial injectiob of the antibiotics to take his nasea away so he would want to take the medicine she prescribed for a basoc gastrointestinal infection. We went back and the injection was very quick. They were again very nice. The second time we went back you could certainly see the difference in his energy from the day prior. That evening he continued to get sick. The next morning around 5am I woke up to him getting sick and I decided I need to rush him to another emergency vet for another opinion. At this time I had done all kinds ofrresearch and determined he was symptomatic of parvo. Franklin amimal clinic never mentioned that this could even be a possibility. When I went yo the emergency vet on the 3rd visit they confirmed within 10 minutes that it indeed was parvo. Unfortunately, supportive care was not an option at this point as he was far too sick. We had to put him down that same visit. It is absolutely heartbreaking. I continue thinking to myself if only they would hsve diagnosed him properly or ran more tests. I am a huge animal lover and my great dane was 1 year and 7 months. I called Franklin animal clinic when I got home thay morning because they were the only vet I knew that was open Sunday. I went back as soon as I could to get my other dane tested. Thankfully he tested negative but we updated his shots as well just in case. They were nice to not charge me an emergency fee for bringing my other dane in the get tested. I however still feel like I spent so much money, mostky pertaining to my first visit that I just feel at a loss for. I am torn on how I feel aboutbthem because they were extremely compassionate and realized they had msde a mistake. One of the vet techs kept in contact with me to continuously check up on my dog to make sure he was okay. I really appreciated her. They were fantastic at communication and their true desire ti love and better animals but I still can't get myself the what ifs if they would have tested him when he first got sick. Misty is great, she was the tech who was extremely sweet, informative, and caring. I really cant saybwhether or not I would ever see them again.

There are nine vets working there, and they are outstanding. We have eight cats and one dog. The dog is almost four months old, and she is due to go in next week for her puppy shots. The doctors care. The staff is good. They genuinely take an interest in the pet. Our old cat was like eighteen or nineteen years old, and she got a bladder infection. They came in on the emergency call and took care of her. When it was highly time for her to go, we decided to put her down so we would not come home and find her dead. They have a special room where they take the pets that are going to be put down in. You can go in, reflect, and just kind of be solemn. One of the vets actually sends a condolence card. We have been with them for ten or twelve years. We took one of our cats to the emergency vet out by the airport. We spent $600 and they do not want to do exploratory surgery because they thought he swallowed a string, and he ended up having a clogged bladder tube. The urine had crystallized. They massaged his bladder a little bit. The crystals broke, and he was fine. They kept him for about four hours and pumped him up with fluids and electrolyte, and he was fine. They are always on time, and their professionalism is outstanding.

I took the dog in and Dr. Hennessey was professional and helpful and really cared about my pet and what was best for him. He was happy to answer questions about why he may be exhibiting some behaviors and gave some recommendations on how to effectively deal with them. For the level of service provided, the prices felt like a steal. My new pet has found his new vet! We will be lifers!

We were there for a check up on a kitty we recently adopted. He was nervous when we brought him in, but the staff took excellent care of him and quickly made him relaxed. Dr. Jordan performed the exam and knowing this was our first cat, she even suggested a website for us to check out to get more info on caring for our new family member.

They were very responsive and kind. They answered all my questions and were very gentle and loving towards my cat. The procedure was completed two days ago, and my cat is already getting back into her normal routine. I am thankful that they took great care of her, and now my couches are saved!
