"Thank you, [Member Name Removed]! We appreciate your review and will share with the team!"
almost two years . I used to take my dog for day care 1 or 2 times per
week, and every time we travel we used the kennel, I also did a
obedience class and used the grooming services but I didn't like the cut
my dog got, and I though it was way too expensive . I was very happy
with the people the work there, and also my dog was very happy to be
there, he was always exhausted on our way home. Until one day they call
me in the morning, to inform me that my dog was playing with another
dog and got scratch in the eye. But was told not to worry we clean his
eye and he is acting fine and playing. So to me was not a big deal, when
I got there hes eye was swallow and red, I mean the white part of his
eye was pure red, he had a lot of blood all around hes eye and also was
missing his hair around the eye. I immediately asked what happened? They
guy said he didn't know, and I ask him to grab somebody they knew what
happened. David came out and explained me the he was playing with a Lab
and he had scratched his eye, he mentioned the were rough playing but
that he needed it to sleep it off and we will be fine. (At this point my
blood was boiling, not only they lied to me about what happened with
his injury, I was never informed my 20lbs dog play with bigger dogs, and
I was being told to take my dog home to sleep). I decided to take my
dog to the vet immediately after to find out that he maybe had injured
his cornea. The vet put a purple dye to see how close it was from hes
cornea and I was told he was very lucky because it was 2mm from his
cornea. Thank god he is fine and took 2 weeks for hes eye to be back to
normal and I had to put medicine twice a day every day. I call Paws and
Play after the vet and ask to speak with the Manager and I was told she
wasn't there and left a message for her to call me back the next day.
Next day around 10am nobody had call me so I had to call them back. They
did refund my money from day care and also they cover the vet bill but I
had to call and ask for it. To me a place like this need to pay more
attention to the dogs and also maybe hire more responsible people to
work there instead of younger people. I will never be back and I also
tell everybody I know that goes there about what happened. It would be a
different story if they call and said your dog has been in a accident
we are taking him to the vet meet us there sorry that this happened etc.
Accidents will always occur but to lie is unacceptable. What about if he really had a injury to his cornea, and the first hours were the most important to take him to the vet, and save his eye, and not neglect what happened.
