Got a gift card to Fry's for Christmas.  Decided it was time for a PC case upgrade, as well as some other things I had been waiting to upgrade.  Shopped their website, eventually settled on some components.  I live quite a ways away, so called to verify stock on items before going there.  Person on the phone confirmed that everything was in stock.  When I got there, I could not find what I was looking for, so looked for a salesperson.  After 10+ minutes, I finally found someone.  He looked up the desired item, and told me that the only item they had in stock was the floor model.  The floor model was missing several things from it, and he told me that the manager would only deduct 5% if I wanted to buy the floor model.  He said that the computer system they use did say they had 1 in stock, but that was only the floor model.  
After a couple of hours round trip travel time, I am left with a disappointed feeling.  Used to be a great place to shop, nice staff, helpful.  Anymore, the staff is almost non-existent, and the store has gotten dirty.  Today there were multiple shopping carts with trash bags in them, that were apparently there to catch rain that fell through the roof.  Disconcerting to say the least.  
I was able to shop online with the gift card, made sure to use as much of it as possible, but was NOT going over.  I am not going to give them any more of my money.  I will go online for electronics purchases from now on.  The iron egg promise has never let me down yet.

I bought a very expensive computer from them and had my technician with me. He suggested I get this program that would handle combining my 2 computers accounts together. We talked with the sales guy who recommended a different program than we were looking at, and said it would hook up 1 computer, but with 2 accounts. We bought it, and when we tried to use it, it would not work for 2 accounts. I tried to take it back, and they told me too bad. They would not allow me to exchange it because I had put it in my computer already. I explained to him that it was the sales man's idea for me to get this and that I was going to purchase a different one, but was trusting his judgement. I was told that this did not matter, and I was out of luck.

I have been shopping at Fry's for several years now and they are by far the best electronics store in the area. They have everything including one of the largest selections of Tv's. The facility is always clean and the employees wear dress shirts and ties which is a nice touch. The salespeople always seem very knowledgeable about the products. One thing to watch out for is that they do work on commission so you need to be sure they are looking out for you best interest and not theirs. I must say I have not had many instances where I felt pressured to buy something that I didn't want to. The salespeople have been very good at catering to my needs. I had one bad experience in the car audio installation department a few years back which is in a separate building. I am a little skeptical about that department. Other than that the store and the employees are great and I absolutely love Fry's!

I thought they did well; it is a busy place. The store was clean and they were willing to help you. I had no problem exchanging some items I needed to return; they were willing to do that and help me out. They provided outstanding service. They were really good on pricing.

I picked Fry's Electronics because of price and selection. They honored the guarantee for the work on the computers no problem. They took care of everything. The service man gave extra service for a minor but important problem.

Its like a candy store, they have about anything you want except lumber. You can find anything in there. I give them an excellent rating. I will absolutely use them again and you can mail order from them.

The service was covered under the plan, so the charges were free. It came with a 3 or 4-year service contract plan. I had to take it for a couple of times since I have brought it new for service. The first time, they took a couple of weeks to get it fixed. The second time when I went, they gave me a loaner computer while mine was getting repaired. The thing I like the best about them is the selection of their products. The thing that I like least about them is that it takes a few weeks to get the laptop repaired.

We looked up some information and then we made a decision to get a new washer. It went very well. There were no problems at all. The number one issue was price. Their personnel were also able answer any questions and provide information that I felt was helpful. I would recommend them to a friend or family member, but I would advise them to check the price. They are not always the lowest, but they were on the particular model we wanted. They were very knowledgeable. When we purchased the computer, they were extremely helpful in understanding our need and making sure what we were looking at would take care of our needs. The price we paid was for the computer and an extended service plan.

I arrived at the store at about 20 minutes before closing on October 20th. The tech (Mike) wanted to pull the drives to see if the data was visible. Understanding that is was right before closing, I told him that while I appreciated that, it was OK for them to look at it the next day. A week later, I hadn't heard anything and I followed up with them and was told that they hadn't even started doing anything with it and that it would be another 3 or so days before they would. On November 1st, I went to the store and spoke with Edgar. He said that he would start it the next day when he arrived at 10AM. I called the next day to check and see if they had started it and was told it was and they would call me the following day. I repeatedly had to initiate communication. In one of my conversations with Edgar, he said he was 99% confident that he could partition the drives and get the data. Another tech eventually called and said they couldn't get anything. This was the only time they initiated a call to me. When I went to pick the devices up, the had pretty much mutilated the casing on one of them and they didn't put either of them back into the casing. I got them back in pieces. I will never use them again for service of any kind of electronics. It seems as if they aren't sure they know what they are doing, with all of the guess work and not being able to communicate back with some sort of regularity.
