Overall experience was very good. Contractor performed the work as stated. Treatment has been effective as of this report.

Both workers were very professional. The service was prompt and was just a good experience. It was much less of a problem than I thought it would be in terms of the smell and that sort of thing.

We had quite a stubborn ant problem and after the first spraying they had to return two additional times to control the ants. The two additional times were of no cost to us and so far we have not seen any more ants.

Very well. In 5 days, both groundhogs have been captured in traps.

I liked the man that came out. They did what they said they were going to do. The man's name is Mark. We like having him come out because he knows our situation a little bit. I felt comfortable with them from the start.

The price was fine and they took care of the problem. They showed up on time and actually came out to look at the problem before giving an estimate. They told me if I saw evidence of anymore mice, they would come back and re-spray and reset the traps and they did do that.

We was remodeling our bathroom, and thats when we discovered the carpenter ants,=. Varment Guard came out and charged us $400.00 for the whole year. If the ants come back, Varment Guard will come back out to spray for no charge.

I was happy with the initial guy that did the estimate. The actual technician was very good. He explained everything and was very professional.

They sprayed for termites, checked the traps for mice and things like that.

Took a little longer to schedule than I would have liked, but was probably a busy time of year for this service. I have dealt with this company in the past, and preferred to wait rather than call someone else. They did a good job when they did come.

We have been using this service for almost two years and I can't explain the value of NOT seeing pests and bugs in my house. Our technician, Tony is always helpful in explaining activities of various pests and always checks every time he comes out to see if we're having any problems. He also reassures me about the treatments they use and the safety for my pets and kids. This is a wonderful service - I don't even think about bugs anymore!

The guy that came out was good. He knew what he was talking about. I purchased an annual monitoring service. They set traps for the squirrels and they know the business of what they are doing. They understood the behavior of the animal. They were on the money, on pint and correct. I did feel that they were trying to hurry the job because I told them that the squirrels was still there and he was trying to convince me that they were gone. They actually weren't and it turned out that 6 squirrel were caught. I'm very happy they are gone. I did like the guy that calmed me down. He always said, "Whatever you want...I will do." He was very calming and made me feel better. Very responsive. I had nothing to compare the price to so I feel like I got what I had paid for. Each time they come to check a trap they leave a note. That's how they determine whether the job was done or not. I have a 5 year warranty for what I paid for and they sealed a hole up for me. They asked for half up front for payment. Very good job.

The smell in my home and backyard was truly terrible, so I called around for pricing and availability. Varmint Guard was clearly the best value. They charged for an hour's work and then by the quarter hour, thereafter. Others charged by the size of the animal Made an appointment for the next morning, with a staff person to arrive between 9 and 10am. Promptly at 9:10, my doorbell rang and Jared was there. He was nice, clean-cut, and professional. We walked to the backyard and figured out where the best point of entry was going to be. He was willing to crawl under the deck stairs, but I said he could remove decorative lattice-work and enter from the side where there was much more space. He did that, and fixed the lattice-work so I couldn't tell he'd been there. Turns out, a possum had died under an overhang from the house, which was covered by the deck. Jared took off the lattice-work, crawled under the deck, removed the body in a bag, and removed the bag from my property. The whole process took less than 20 minutes from start to finish. When he was done, there was no evidence (smell or otherwise) that there had ever been a problem. I was more than happy to pay the basic fee. Not a fun job, but I'm glad Jared and Varmint Guard were there to do it. Waiting for Mother Nature to go through the decomposition process was NOT an option due to the incredibly awful smell. I'm happy to recommend them to anyone.

This transaction went perfectly. We received an estimate from the company (we'd told them they were welcome to stop by when we weren't home) that stated "Varment Guard not liable for damage to plants." Fair enough. I have several perennials, two rose bushes, and a small evergreen planted near the area they had to work, and I fully recognized they didn't have much room to maneuver, so I'd resigned myself to some damage. I was happy to see that the traps were placed in such a way as to still be an access point to the skunks while not disturbing my rose bushes. During the ten days of monitoring, I spoke to Kyle on a couple of occasions. He was very nice and answered any questions I asked him. Just a great, personable man. He was also very good about letting me know where we were in the job process. When it came time to dig the trench around the porch, Kyle did it on two days. The first day I came home to see a very neat trench and a tidy pile of dirt placed where it wouldn't disturb any of my plants. One plant HAD to be dug up; it was right next to the porch, so Kyle had very carefully dug up the root ball and placed it on top of the dirt pile. I'm quite sure he would have replanted it for me the next day, but I decided to relocate it. The other plants around the trench were completely undisturbed, even though Kyle literally only had a shovel width's of space to work in in some areas. He really went above and beyond. The next day when he came back to finish, I thanked him for taking such good care of my plants. He asked what I'd done with the plant he'd dug up and even walked with me to see where I'd replanted it. "Look," he commented, "it's not even wilted!" Now, plants may not matter a bit to you, but I'm quite sure your home does or you wouldn't have a membership to Angie's List. If Varment Guard's employees take such good care of my PLANTS for goodness sake, you can imagine that that concern will certainly extend to other areas as well.

A hole appeared in our ceiling, and a friend suggested that it might be due to animals in our attic. The friend recommended Varment Guard, and I checked Angie's List and saw that it had an A rating with dozens of reports, so it sounded like I should try it. A Varment Guard representative showed up right away, diagnosed the problem as squirrels nesting in the attic, and set live traps. I was worried they would continue to dig more holes in the ceiling and he reassured me that the squirrels would be happy with the one hole, for air circulation in their nest. He was very kind, very prompt, and very professional. The Varment Guard people came every morning to check the traps, usually right around 9 am, and they left a note hanging on our doorknob telling us what they had done, without disturbing us. All in all it was a very well-run operation and I was very pleased with the results.

They did it quickly and willingly. We also signed a contract with them to get rid of carpenter bees. The bees didn't reappear in any of the places that we had seen them before. The bees did show up in an area we hadn't thought of. When we called them about this they came right out and were able to fix this area too. We will continue to use them.

They came out and did there best to try to solve the problem They were reasonably priced and I would use them again.

Animal had left the area which we didn't know but they still came out and gave a free estimate. They were very professional, came out when they were supposed to, didn't pressure me and gave me the facts.

I was impressed with Varment Guard's customer service and responsiveness. The phone dispatchers were uniformly helpful (I talked to a couple of different ones), and every time I called they either talked directly to Brad or left a message for him and got right back to me. This rat business was unpleasant, particularly when the first two sets of traps didn't work, but they kept working at it and even though Brad's third trip here took place after the end of my 30-day original service agreement, there was no additional charge, which I really appreciated. He was reliable enough that I trusted him to work in my absence and close the garage up after himself when he was done; again appreciated the convenience that provided. I'd recommend this service; I've had them out earlier for squirrels in the attic and hornets and have always been pleased with their work.
