Absolutely superior service. Troy was professional and prompt and very knowledgeable about our problem. Varmint Guard will be my first call should I ever need an exterminator.

Wonderful - they call to come out quarterly and are punctual, trustworthy, knowledgeable, friendly and efficient. Really like the company and I don't have problems anymore with spiders or creepies in my basement.

Very good about coming out in between scheduled service appointments if the need arises. Haven't had much of a bug problem since we hired them.

I had previously written comments about my dissatisfaction regarding the work that Varment Guard had done, on removal of a wood pecker. Jim Vaive, Varment Guard Company President, personally called me to discuss my comments and the report. Jim expressed his concern about my dissatisfaction, and that he wanted to do everything he could to resolve the situation and keep my business. Jason and Jarod came out to re-check the work that had been done - they also shared with me that they wanted to ensure I was a happy customer. Jim, Jason, and Jarod - thank you for the extra effort and attention you gave to me, to resolve this - I sincerely appreciate it and your professionalism. I have been a loyal customer for many years, and will continue to be one, ensuring that I refer new customers to you when I get the chance. Thank you again - I really appreciate it, and the level of service you gave to me on resolving this issue.

They spray quarterly and the cost listed is for one visit.

The rep presented me a detailed explanation of their services and charges. He answered all my questions. I signed up for the an extended plan to get rid of insects as well as the rodents. I've used Varmint Guard before-carpenter ants, carpenter bees, and raccoons-and always been pleased with the services. The tech inspected the house inside and out, answered all my questions, and set "traps" to drive the critters out. I haven't seen any shrews or insects (had huge spiders) since the tech was here.

I was given a quote and general idea of what would happen for this job, via Brad Litzenberg, Sales Specialist. What I received from the technician was quite different. I was promised by Brad the following: removal of carpenter bees that had nested in my cedar porch, a professional "filling" of the whole, and other damaged areas, with a bird repellent, and a complete spraying of the area with a repellent. Brad also walked me thru the two different types of guarantees on the job, which I fully understood. Jarold, the technician, totally contradicted everything that Brad had promised-Jarold was not able to adequately access the hole, so he did not remove any carpenter bees. He did fill in the hole, but did not take care of the surrounding damaged areas, which I was told would happen. He also was very resistant to doing the actual job, telling me that it basically was not going to take care of my problem. I realize that various birds are difficult to treat, and do know that this may not take care of the problem entirely, so I asked for and scheduled a follow up visit for the following week. What I am frustrated with is the total disconnect with the sales rep and the technician-I was told one thing, and then feel like I got the run around from the technician. The technician took my payment via credit card, but did not leave an invoice for me-he said he was not able to. This makes me a bit nervous because of the "disconnect" between the sales rep and the technician!! I have been a customer of Varment Guards for several years as they maintain my termite system-I also have an on-going "debate" with them, about coming out to check my system when it was missing quite a few of the stakes. They finally repaired the system, but I am not paying for a mid-summer "check" as there were very few stakes for them to actually check. These two recent experiences are making me contemplate if I should seek out another company to take care of my termite system year round, and the sporadic other issues that come up, due to where I live (ravine area). How Varment Guard responds to these comments and my frustration will be very "telling".... Again, I've been a faithful customer for several years (about 7 years!).

They checked frequently for a week and did appropriate screening to secure entrance areas. This company was prompt in taking care of making sure the raccoon didn't come back.

Well. We have the same technician each time. He is very friendly.

He showed up on time and did not try to sell me anything!!! He told me there was not much they could do to control the animals until we took some preventative measures (cut down two trees and or put siding metal or cement siding on the building). He could have easily patched the holes and the squirrels would have come back. After we fix the cause I WILL call them to remove the animals.

I have an annual service contract that keeps the house is such good order that I forget what a good job they're doing. If I cancel, then I start having problems with carpenter bees, carpenter ants, squirrels, pigeons... you get the idea. With the VG seasonal visits, the critters stay outside and I have no problems.

The kids would not go near the climber/swing set in the backyard because of the huge bees in the area. We had used Varment Guard before for ants and Canadian soldiers. They came out promptly and identified the problem as "carpenter bees." It took a while, but the entire cedar set was sprayed. The technician tried to identify holes made in the set by the bees and give them extra attention. Bees gone.

I was impressed with their service from the receptionist to the technician. They are punctual, follow up with their problems, and are easy to work with. I would recommend this service to others.

They do semi annual generalized spraying on the outside of the house. They've fixed problems that we've had. They respect my wishes to use as few chemicals as possible.

They caught a couple of squirrels for us. We're very happy. They also found a couple of holes in the roof where animals could get in. They are always on time and responsive.

I first saw them at the Extravaganza and took their card. I like the people and what they have to say. I have heard so many bad things about other pest control companies, but I m really satisfied with them. If you have any questions or problems, they are very prompt to come back out and respray or help in any way they can. They are just really nice people. I will continue to use them in the future.

Service technician Maureen Patterson has worked very hard, keeping bugs and critters out. Has shown me were I need to make improvements, caulking, etc. She really tries hard to do a good job and to do it right.

I have been using their services for about three years. Their quality is good and their responsiveness is good. They always leave a report to let me know that they have been here and what they did.

They do a nice job. The worker comes in with shoe covers on. We have been very very happy with them. We chose them because of the referrals on Angie's List.

We had two problems,carpenter ants and bees. It turned out they were honey bees, which they said they could not touch (do to a regulation). They recommended the name of a honey bee expert who was able to get rid of the bees without killing them. They also got rid of the carpenter ants. Overall, they seemed like they knew what they were doing, arrived on time, and did the job well.

They came out and gave me an estimate. I called them back to come out since mouse and they tried to raise the price on me. He said he did not include the mouse removal in the quote which is what I called about in the first place. So I did not understand that.

While they did not actually catch the raccoon i thought they were very diligent and the raccoon actually was taken care of on its own. I would use them again based on that experience.

They didn't think I had a skunk living on the premises. They said I could try to trap it or I could stuff a large plastic bag into a entry hole under my front porch and see if the bag had been pushed in by visiting skunks. They suggested that if the skunks were no longer "visiting" that they could come to my home and cover the area with metal mesh for a much lower price and prevent the visits in the future.
