+ 0 moreFront turned out well, eventually, though one application was done badly, leaving crop circle effect over entire lawn. No offer to adjust price...but and quot;onlyand quot; lasted a couple of months. In spite of promises and good moisture throughout spring and most of summer, back is no better than when I bought the home, almost a year later.
Description of Work: Aerated and seeded lawn last fall on new home (bought with front sodded but neglected and back seeded and neglected). Also, purchased weed and fertilize package for spring/summer/fall.

+ 2 moreIt went very well. They were very conscious about where they placed the plants, and asked my opinion. They also graded the job properly. They did a wonderful job, were very polite, and they cleaned up every day before they left. The firepit is just beautiful. I really wanted the plants and trees to be native to indiana, and they did a good job keeping them native.
Description of Work: They laid sod, landscaped the front and back of our new house, added a firepit., and planted trees.

+ -1 moreI asked for a quote to perform some landscaping and to cut the lawn at 2 of my house in LOFS. They accomplished both without ever inconveniencing me. I did all of the detail set up work from the phone in my office. Elite wanted me to set up an appointment - which I did - then they weren't sure what it would cost. After 3 phone calls and them not ever cutting my grass when they said they would I cut it myself until I found Blade Cutters. I would have given Elite an and quot;Fand quot; but I can't find them on here any longer to do that. I'm not one to complain but I think cutting the grass is pretty straight forward, typically your local 15 year old can do it without too much trouble. So far, Blade CUtter has been on time and cut both properties that look snice and I've never actually met anyone - exactly how I like it.
Description of Work: Blade Cutters actually returned my phone call in a timely matter and they actually quoted, performed the work, and did it on the day they said they would. Don't bother calling Elite Lawn care - they will be a waste of your time.

Description of Work: After I contracted the company to have some work done I received a contract to sign with the amount to be charged for the services due listed in detail on it. The amount was extremely high but I accepted it on the recommendation of a friend and neighbor. The crew of this company arrived late one day and wanted to know the property lines. I showed them and the started to work. They worked about a half hour and did not really do much of anything. They returned the next morning and about forty minutes after they arrived, a representative of the business arrived and said that it was to much work for what they had listed on their contract. I pointed out that I had a contract and if they did not want to honor it that I would like my money back and I would not under any circumstances pay more than the original high price listed on the original contract. They packed up and left. I then contacted their office to receive my money returned. I find this unprofessional. A contract is just that and should be honored.

+ -1 moreThey guys on the crews are hardworking and thorough. They do good work. One of the crew leaders (Alex?) seems very knowledgeable. He discussed things with my wife without being condescending. I'm not sure all the guys on the crews speak English and that was a challenge when they were mowing the lawn. The rates are competitive. The managers are a different story. Dennis is not that knowledgeable and doesn't return calls. If I call Kevin, he takes care of the problem, unfortunately by calling Dennis and telling him. Dennis will sometimes call my wife back. She has left messages with the office and they never responded. We asked Dennis about cutting back some Spirea in the Spring because they were getting woody. I think he actually recommended against it. I did it myself and they look great. They bloomed nicely, have great shape and color. They are now blooming again.
Description of Work: We have had them perform many different services. They also care for the common areas in our subdivision. They used to cut our entire lawn (1.2 acres). They have applied fertilizer and herbicides. They have been out to do seasonal cleanup, tree and bush trimming, planting and softscapes.
