Everything wen't Great!! All work was completed as discussed. Bill and his guys are top notch and I would recommend him to anyone. They were punctual and hard working. Everything with the roof went as expected, but I was most impressed with how well they cleaned up! I haven't found one nail or piece of debris anywhere around the house. If you are looking for a contractor that is nice and easy to work with Bill is your guy!!

For the roof job, it was so-so. It was completed in time and for the most part the roof looked good. However, there was little attention to detail by Bill and his crew. I had them come back twice due to siding that was not reinstalled by accident, and the soffit was not trimmed very carefully with lots of holes to attract wasps and such. It seemed strange that I had to lend various tools and ladders to a contractor. Clean-up was only partially done.
The window jobs were subcontracted to another gentleman that did a very good job and was quite professional. Bill Richardson was never on-site for this. I am very happy with the windows and the work done.
I needed a couple of exterior doors installed, and hired him to do this. Doors are easy, right? I'm no contractor, but every door I've ever installed opens/ closes and doesn't leak. Two of the four he put in required me to remove and reinstall. I swear, it was like he never tried them after hanging them up. He did offer to come out and repair them, and was quite apologetic about it, but it really didn't take much time and I didn't have too much of a sour taste from the experience. He seemed to be understanding my level of expectations. I am not sure what he normally dealt with, but I expect good detailed work.
Feeling that we were forming a good relationship with this provider, we opted to hire him to perform a bathroom remodel. I helped during this for a day to supervise and coach in regards to expected level of quality. It was explained that we needed the drain to be fixed prior the remodel as it was very slow and unvented. After the job was complete, the drain remained the same and I had to hire another contractor to spend a few hours venting the drain. Bill did assist in removing and reinstalling the tub surround, but never seemed to find any time to repair all the grout that he installed that formed cracks throughout the floor. Even after many calls and many and quot;I'll get right to it as soon as this current job is done.and quot;, I finally gave up and repaired it myself.
I feel that I was the fool for continuing to hire this guy who obviously has the skill to do good work, but just chooses to cut corners at every opportunity.

The are professional and prompt. The cost is reasonable. I have had no issues with them. I would use this company again.

From start to finish Bill was on site making sure everything was done correctly. My house has never looked so good. Each project Bill did on my house came with unknown issues rotten wood, bowed rafters and previous contractors mistakes. Bill fixed everything and never asked for an additional cent. His quote is solid and he is professional 24/7 not a fly by night operation where they quote you one thing then keep telling you they need more money Bill is truly the best out there. We highly recommend him to anyone.

From the day of the initial estimate to the day the work was actually completed, Bill was punctual, polite and very professional. Follow up appointments were made based on our schedule and availability. His team arrived on time and completed the installation and interior work, including clean up before leaving the first day. They arrived promptly the following day to finish the outside work. The install was done on a very cold, wet and snowy day, but the install team did not track any snow or water into our house. They also took get care to keep the heating loss at a minimum. We've been looking for a company we could trust and rely on for future work. We've found it! We will use A Better Way Home Improvements, again and will recommend them to friends and family.

They did a great job! They took their time and cleaned up after themselves. The workers were polite and I appreciated them being on time. They arrived exactly when they said they would. Overall, a job well done. I would certainly recommend them highly to others.

Very prompt, clean and friendly people. Came and got the work done without breaks or wasting time. The product has made a big difference in the heating already, since we already have cold weather. And neighbors have complimented us on how nice the windows look. You wont be disappointed with A Better Way Home Impr. I would refer them to anyone.

Bill Richardson was good to work with. He likes to talk and he likes to hear what you expect. The shingles originally chosen for the roofing did not match as well as we would have them match. We ended up purchasing new shingles and Bill put them on for us, for an additional fee. Also, the front step was not to our satisfaction. We had wanted just what we had before and the first step was too high and too narrow--nothing like what we had wanted. Bill contacted the concrete guy and they reformed the front step. It is now as we would have it. However, now less than a year later, there is a horizontal crack across where the first step meets the porch. Bill said he would give us the name of the of the concrete guy so that we could get it fixed, but we have not received the name. We are looking to hire someone to fix the step.
Bill works with good workers. Bob, the guy in charge of the siding, was a real professional. He spoke well and interacted with us well. His work was impressive. The work site was a work site, but it was not trashed out although we are still finding small debris to clean up. Overall, we are glad we had the renovation done.
