Mathew Appliance Repair

Excellent, he took the time to teach me about the machine, how it runs, what to look for in the future, how to properly use the machine to minimize repairs in the future etc. He also greased parts of the machine that quieted it down.

Mr. Mathew called and set up an appointment time that was convenient for me. He arrived promptly and was extremely personable and professional. With one look he knew exactly what part needed to be replaced on the washer. He did the job and then gave me some pointers on how to use the machine so it would last another 10 years. He was probably here about an hour from the time he rang the doorbell until the time he left.

He also suggested using less detergent which has improved our wash quality.

John was very friendly and has quite a sense of humor. He did the repair, cleaned up and then, as he was pulling out of the driveway, I called him back to check for a possible leak. He came right back, checked things out, and was very nice about being called back.

He answers his phone more quickly than anyone. He gets to your house really fast, figures out what's wrong fast, and repairs it fast.

Inspected the washer on the same day that they were called. Went well overall and made some suggestions on what could be done, short of replacing the flooring.

They did quality work. They did what they said they would, cleaned up afterwards. I would use them again

He showed up on time, fixed the dishwasher and we will use them again.

John is amazing. Not only does he know what he is doing, but he has a wonderful sense of humor. When I first called him, he gave me an approximate time and was here within that time. Very impressive. He seemed most honest and replaced only what need to be replaced. He came 2 and 1/2 hours after I spoked to him. Unbelievable!!! I couldn't be happier. I would recommend him to anyone who asks, A+++++++.

Excellent service. Very quick and efficient. Advised of other potential problems and advised of cost options for future repairs versus purchasing a new product. Recommended someone else to examine dryer vent if drying time does not decrease. Good experience.

Came on time, fixed the lid switch on the washer and it worked again. But I had tested the lid switch with an Ohmmeter and it seemed to work. Maybe my test was not good enough. Maybe something else was the problem, but fiddled with the dials and worked OK and has since.

Great. I called on Monday and John came Tuesday morning to fix it. He was very knowledgeable. He even showed me how to load the washer so this would not happen in the future.

I called John around 9am and he was able to work me in the same day. He disassembled the dryer and said the heat coil was working well, and suspected a clogged vent. I had previously checked the dryer hose, but not the outside vent. I went outside and cleaned the vent myself, which cleared up the heat problem. I wish I would've checked it myself prior to calling. On the drum thumping, John took out the drum and recommended replacement of the rubber wheels the drum runs on; he said it probably wouldn't completed solve the problem, but would help. He was right; $65 for service call and $40 for parts and I was back in business after a 30 minute service call.

Arrived promptly and quickly identified the problem. They needed to order a part. I was called when the part arrived.

Great. Nothing wrong with either unit. He just gave information to help with the balancing/loading/soap use to improve washer performance. Dryer checked out fine - discussed impact of having even 1 flap closed on the dryer vent.(OH...he came within a few hours of the initial call!)

Did the repair quickly at a reasonable cost. Very friendly also cleaned the area when he completed the repair.

I was very impressed overall. The technician was able to come out the same day I called. He was courteous and efficient. He suspected the heating element initially, confirmed that was the problem and replaced it. He left the area clean and reminded me they would appreciate my filling out the Angie's List evaluation. He also provided me with a discount for using Angie's List for my referral.

He showed up on time and realized the issue in minutes. He asked me if I put any sponges with soap dispensers into the dishwasher, because that could cause the issue. He thoroughly explained how too much soap causes water to raise up over the threshold barrier, which is why it was leaking. He told me how to clean out all of the soap and then suggested a type of soap to use and how much so that I could avoid the situation in the future.

It was very good. He was very knowledgeable and got the work done quickly without charging an arm and a leg.

Very personable. Came out the same day as we called and was willing to call ahead so we didn't have to take extra time off work. We also asked him if he worked on vent pipe since we were contemplating moving our washer and dryer to another section of our home. He told us that he didn't do that kind of work, but gave us the name and number of someone who did.

Provided service window target. Arrived on time. Good experience. Pleasant and competent.

I left a message over the New Year holidays and first thing Wednesday he returned my call. We had some problem locating the part ID, but when we solved that problem, he immediately set the day for the repair. He called that morning, arrived in the window promised and finished up the work promptly.

John was very polite and professional and he had my refrigerator fixed in about 2 hours. He helped other customers as he worked by setting up appointments and trouble shooting over the phone but it did not take him away from the job at hand. I realized that I would be able to rely on him if I had issues for he made himself accessible and available.
