The service part was fine. However, he said the bill was $55. I said that I had the Angie's List coupon for $5 off. He went out to his truck, and I wrote the check for $50. When he came back in we talked a little more about options, and he picked up the check where I had left it on the counter. After he left I picked up his invoice, and he had written the amount due as $60 after the Angie's List discount! I had read in the earlier reports on him that he was a great repairman, but also that he had done this to another customer, so I was alerted. I find this very unprofessional, and will not use him again.

It was a simple repair, the timer for the defrost mechanism needed to be replaced. The service was excellent. He was prompt, and the price was good. He tells you up front what he charges and how long the service will take. He is very honest, and will tell you if he is unable to repair the appliance; if he cannot he will only charge you for the service call.

Called on Monday and he advised he might be able to get to us later in the day, depending if he had the part, but would call. He indeed called back and needed to order the part for our model dryer, but would call as soon as it came in. Wednesday he called and came out to repair the dryer. Viola! No problems. We're very happy with the prompt attention.

My refrigerator quit working on a Monday and they were able to come out on Tuesday for the repair. The gentleman was friendly and quick to diagnose the problem and make the repair. The total time took less than 30 minutes.

Polite, on-time and professional. He did the work and it has lasted without any problems at all. We will call him for any future appliance problems.

My wife was at home when the technician arrived. He was on time, courteous, and seemed knowledgeable. He opened up the unit, did some testing, and concluded that the compressor had failed and we need a new frig. He also took a quick look at the dish washer to diagnose a leak. Then he wrote an invoice for $55.00. I was at work and my wife called me to ask if I had any specific questions. I asked him a couple of questions and finally told him that we have an Angie's List coupon. The tech immediately changed the invoice amount from $55.00 to $65.00 and then took $5.00 off the amount bringing our total to $60.00. This was indeed disappointing. To increase the charges after learning that we had a coupon, was unprofessional. Why bother advertise about a coupon if they do not intend to honor it in good faith? I admit that 5 bucks is not a huge amount. But something like this leaves a bad taste and makes you think twice before hiring them again.

He had to make two trips to my house to fix it, the first time it didn't work. He had ordered the wrong part, then seemed kind of upset because that had happened. Ended up fixing the problem, but it took a while.

Excellent responsiveness for repair of the timer on my very old washing machine. Mr. Mathew was very punctual and professional.

Our dryer is 27 years old and wasn't heating. I emailed our service request and received a phone call the next morning, and the repair was completed that afternoon! Mr. Mathew advised we may benefit from using a professional dryer vent cleaner since the vent has one bend and is many feet long. We appreciated the advice, promptness and professionalism. The price was extremely fair in today's world - what a nice surprise! We will suggest this company to everyone we know.

John was friendly and helpful on the phone, and he came out to look at the refrigerator within a few hours of when I called him. He diagnosed the problem (broken fan) quickly, and tried to get the part to fix the refrigerator on the same day. Unfortunately, the part was not in stock at local shops, and he had to order the part from out of town. He kept us posted on his progress in getting the part and was able to have it rush-shipped so that it arrived the next day. He called us, set up a time, and fixed the refrigerator on the same day that the part arrived. Even with the extra effort, the cost was basically what he had estimated before he had the hassle of obtaining the hard-to-get part. The refrigerator has been working fine ever since. We were very happy with his professionalism, attitude and quality of work.

Moved into a new home and discovered our dryer's 3 prong plug didn't match the house's 4 prong outlet. They were able to come out the next day and get it swapped out so we could do laundry this weekend. Also took the time to check the washer and level out the legs, as we hadn't used it yet in the new location.

John came by as soon as he was available on the day that I called him and ordered the part immediately. As soon as the part was in, he was here to repair my frig. He always answers his calls promptly.

John quickly and creatively diagnosed the problem. He ordered the part and called me when it arrived a couple of days later. He installed the part and fixed the problem. He did an excellent job communicating the issues and solutions alike.

They experience went pretty well. He didn't seem willing to work around our time schedule though. When we agreed on a time he was punctual. The appliances were fixed and didn't find any problems with it.

The motor of my less than two year old Sears dishwasher was rusting out and causing a leak underneath the floorboards. John said he could replace the motor, but didn't think it was worth the cost. He recommended I get a new dishwasher and told me that Kenmore is now made by Frigidaire and the less expensive models are not well made. Depressing news, but I appreciated his honesty. I paid for a house call(with Angie's list discount). John came quickly and was very helpful and pleasant to work with.

Ice maker repair was very smooth. Old out and new in. Oven control took some diagnosing.

Based on our previous conversation, made sure that he had the parts with him that he thought he would need to fix the washer. Replaced the part, explained the root cause of the problem and and completed the work in less 30 minutes. I am very satisfied with the response, the quality of work and the level of service provided. Great job!

I called Mathew Appliance Repair at 10:00 am in the morning and he said someone would be out sometime in the afternoon. I was very impressed with the quick response. He arrived at 2:00 pm that afternoon and examined the side-by-side refrigerator/freezer. He quickly determined the problem and quoted a price for the repair. He had the part available in his truck, so I asked him to proceed with the repair. He quickly replaced the defective part, and also realigned the doors on the refrigerator/freezer. I was very pleased with promptness of service and his courteous manner, and I would not hesitate to call him again for appliance service. I thought his pricing was very reasonable.
