Mathew Appliance Repair

He is coming next week and he is great. I have used him before. He is reasonably priced and comes pretty quickly. He is pleasant to have around and does a good job. The cost for the two repairs was not high at all.

Repair went very well. Prompt, arrived on time. Did the work very well. Priced very reasonably. Super nice guy. As a bonus he opened my washer (at no charge) and found my wife's wedding ring that had been missing for four years! John went way beyond the call of duty.

John came out and diagnosed the problem with my dryer. He then ordered the part and installed it when it came in. I would definitely use this company again.

It was great. I found him to be extremely accomodating. He returned my call very promptly and worked in a very clean manner. He even returned later in the day to ensure that his work had been done properly. I thought that his price was quite reasonable as well.

He did a great job. He was very personable.

My washer was not running correcting - shutting off and showing Power Failure. I called John on Monday and he was out on Tuesday AM. As I have used John before he had access to our home and I went on to my office. John called later and told me he had checked out the circuit board and panel and did not find a problem. He said we could order a new circuit board and panel and see if one of these would repair the problem. But he wanted to looked deeper. John called me back later and said he felt the problem was actually an electrical one and not the washer. He had taken the initiative to check the voltage in the wall socket and it was fluctuating. So he plugged the washer into a different wall socket with a different breaker and found that the washer worked fine. He even left his extension cord hooked up so I could do a couple loads of laundry that evening and check to see if the washer continued to work properly. The following day I had an electrician out and he confirmed that the breaker was bad and that was indeed our problem. Many repair people would not have taken the initiative to think outside the box and look for the real problem. We could have been on the hook for materials that did not resolve the problem. John truly cares about doing a great job and it shows in his professionalism - his work ethic and the results he obtains.

I called in the morning and Mr. Mathew was able to come that same afternoon. He was on time, did the job efficiently, and I thought the cost was very reasonable. I would definitely recommend Mathew Appliance and would use them again.

John arrived about the time he said he would, took off some panels, made a few voltage measurements, decided that the door switch was defective. Got a switch from the truck, replaced it, put the panels back, tested the dryer. Noted that the tubing to the outside vent was slightly crushed; straightened it out. Also went outside to check the air flow to the vent louvers..

Work was completed within an 30-60 minutes. Things went smoothly.

I don't mind paying for an estimate, but I was unhappy with the level of service for the price. One of the problems was that the washing machine was making a noise on the spin cycle. He didn't even turn the washing machine on and listen to the noise when he diagnosed the problem. He might have been right, although he told me he had never done that repair before. He then told me I could contact Sears because the part was probably covered under warranty, but discouraged me from doing so. However, he didn't seem to eager to come back and repair the part himself. He was at my house for approximately 15 minutes, and spent half of that time telling me I should have bought a different washing machine. Although that would have been helpful advice a few years ago, it did not help me now! I felt like he wanted to come and collect his $43 for the estimate, and had no real interest in doing the repair.

Showed up on time, did a first-rate job for a reasonable amount of money.

He was very prompt in coming out given that it was a holiday week-end (4th of July). We called him on Thursday and he fit us into his Friday schedule. He cleaned the igniter/burner which fixed the problem.

I was extremely pleased with John Mathew. I called him at 8:00 on Monday morning with the vent problem on my dryer (a problem of my own making - which John did not chastise me for). I was getting ready for an out of town trip so I was in great need of my dryer. I don't know if he had to rearrange his schedule, but he called me back and said he could be here by 10:00. He was here promptly and fixed the problem quickly. In our conversation as he was finishing up I mentioned the problem with my dishwasher (wishing it were mine instead of the apartment's property). John gave me some very good advice on the use and cleaning of the dishwasher that could help the problem. I will most certainly use John again if a need arises - and I will recommend him to my family and friends.

He is outstanding. John Mathews not only responded within a few hours notice but knew what was wrong with the clothes washer and refrigerator. It only took him an hour to do the work, he didn't waste anytime. I would highly recommend.

Called at 8 am since our refrigerator wasn't working. They rearranged their day and were at our house by 3 pm. They tested/tried a couple things and when they didn't work, they replaced the circuit board to make it work again. Total time was less than an hour. Very fair rates. Very friendly and polite. Cleaned up well after they were done.

Mr. Mathew's was prompt and professional and did a through inspection of our applicance and helped us replace it in position and checked out it's function afterwards.

He telephoned me early on the day he was coming, and again to update his arrival time. He carefully explained what was wrong with the washer and why it can't be fixed. He gave me some excellent advice on buying a new one without paying for useless bells and whistles that I will not use.

John Mathew is very professional, calling as promised for scheduling, arriving on time and getting right to work. He found where the leaks were and replaced the appropriate parts. This was my first time to use him, and I would definitely use him again; I'm glad to have a reliable repair man.

It went very well, despite our insane schedules and need to remake appointments several times. Mr. Mathew was flexible and professional. At every point, Mr. Mathew kept us apprised of the cost of the replacement parts and the time the company would be taking to get the part to him.

They quickly solved the problem and they were very nice.

Mr. Mathews replied very promptly to our inquiry, came out within 3 hours, spent about an hour checking out washer before he made his decision know. A very knowledgable efficient service provider. I would surely use him again.

My refrigerator stopped working. I had to throw everything away. I called him the Monday after spring break and he came that same day. This was the second time I have used him. He is very professional, punctual and honest. I would hire him again. It was great service.

Great - he was very responsive and knowledgeable. He was dressed very professionally. I just put a load of laundry in and the machine is quiet again.

Corrected leak and did not "over fix" a seal which he felt was okay.

THEY CAME WHEN THEY SAID THEY WOULD AND COMPLETED THE WORK IN A TIMELY FASHION.
