Mathew Appliance Repair

When they got here someone else had already come out. I would not use them anyway, however. They had a Christian symbol on their van, which I found to be inappropriate.

Water was leaking out the bottom so I had to shut off the water line to my ice maker and water in the door. On the first appointment Mr. Mathew thought he fixed the problem (He replaced most of the plastic water lines and fittings). However, the next day I noticed that there was still water leaking. He made a return trip and replaced the fill valve and another plastic water line. Everything works great now. I was impressed that Mr. Mathew didn't charge any trip charge for the second visit.

He was professional, courteous, and easy to talk to. He fixed the problem correctly and quickly. Explained what happened and how the part broke. He also showed us the damaged part after he had replaced it. Will definitely use John Mathew again for any appiance repair!

We had a broken spray arm. From me talking to him over the phone, he was able to order the replacememt over the phone and only had to make one trip, saving us both time and money. He also showed my wife how to fix a burned out light bulb for the dryer on the inside of the machine. He went out of his way to be helpful, and his communication with us was flawless.

Appliance was sucessfully repaired.

He came in out and fixed an undercounter icemaker. He replaced a motor and it seemed to fix it at the time but it didn't. He came out again and we think he solved the problem that has been happening for a really long time that a company that handled the warranty a year ago,could not solve. John is a no nonsense, nice guy and was punctual and came out the same day when I called him to tell him it wasn't working. I think in all he came out three times for this icemaker. He has also fixed a washer and refrigerator.

This provider is a little perplexing to me and I have not seen any other reports that indicate a similar situation to what I encountered. Maybe it's just an example of a case where a customer and a business are not the right fit for one another. John is a very nice man and he did come out on the day that I called, but he had to order the belt for the washer and arrange for a second visit, which is where the challenge lay. Although his hours are listed as 8a-5p, he was not willing to schedule service as early as 9am or as late as 3pm (I saw another client reported a 4pm appt, but he would not do that for me). Since the washer still worked, we agreed that he would come out on the next day that I had off of work. He did not call or show up on that day, but apparently had not felt well that day and had forgotten. So, we agreed that he would come out on the next day that someone would be home all day. He did and he completed the work quickly and the washer is no longer noisy. I think he does a good job, but you'll be happier with the service if you are able to have a flexible schedule, especially if more than one visit is needed.

I thought it was pricey for what he did.

When we called about each of the appliances, John came out within a day. Both of our appliances needed new motors. Before he did the work, he spent time explaining the repairs and costs. We felt that the prices were reasonable, that he gave helpful advice, and did quality work.

I called Mr. Mathew on Monday the 22nd at 4pm and gave him the model and serial number of my dryer and a description of the problem. (the dryer was leaving a brown residue on my clothing)He was here at 4pm THE NEXT DAY and had it fixed quickly. Not only was he prompt and professional but he is very funny! I will definitely use him again and will recommend him to anyone.

Everything turned out fine and we did not have any problems. They came in a timely manner and the repairman was friendly. We will use them again in the future if we need.

Can I just say how much we appreciate John? What a nice, honest, upstanding business man! We have used his services a few times and each one has been more than wonderful. Its very nice to build relationships and trust with repair/service people. We won't use anyone but John for appliance repair!

As always, everything went perfect. John diagnosed the problem - fixed it as well as another issue with the dryer that needed to be rectified. John is always prompt - keeps in communication with me (as I was at my office) is reasonable in cost and always go above and beyond. I wish there were more people across the board in the service industry with the work ethic and integrity that John exhibits.

He's the best. I wouldn't call anyone else. He's also done work our oven and washing maching. He is fabulous.

We have used him for our washer and dryer about a year ago. I liked him because I thought that he was honest and told me that it wasn?t worth having it fixed. He also told me what to look for in a new washer and dryer.

He made a special effort to come out the same day we called. He told us what to do to have the fridge ready, and completed the job in short order. One less thing to worry about today. With his prompt repairs we don't need to buy a new refrigerator for Christmas.

Called him and he came out that same day, replaced the switch in 20 minutes or so, and it works fine now.

On time, punctual and professional.

I called him right at 8AM, and the call went to voice mail, but he called back within half an hour to get more details and "listen" to the fridge. He then determined where I live, and called me back with an estimated time of arrival. He was well within the window of time, went right to the problem, replaced the "starter device", and stayed around long enough to make sure it was working right. Very polite, very efficient, very clean - I'm definitely putting his number into my book. Thank you, Angie!
