He called me back promptly and made arrangements to install it when it arrived. While he was working on my stove, I asked if he could fix my mom's dishwasher door. Since she lives next door, he went right over and worked on it for her. She was delighted. He now has 2 happy customers!

He had to figure out why the new water washing machine wasn't working. The insulation had fallen off on the bottom of it, and it had gone under one of the legs, and was out of balance and would not spin the water out of the machine. He pulled the machine out and tilted it back and saw the insulation that was supposed to keep the sound down. I have had him come over before, and he has always been the same. He got the manual out of the machine, and he checked to see how old it was. He wanted to check and see if it was still in warranty. I thought that was very nice of him to do that.

The technician was very nice and helpful. He was punctual, responsive, and professional. I was very satisfied with all aspects of service provided by this company.

John was excellent to work with. He was very personable and professional. We felt his fee was very reasonable. We have had no problem with the dishwasher draining completely since he fixed it.

He indicated that I didn't need a new latch my instinct said I did. So he fixed at my approval. My bill would have been cheeper. I maybe would use them in the future.

He was quick to call us back, we made an appointment and he showed up on time. He is very knowledgeable and courteous and was a pleasure to work with.

John Mathew responded promptly to my call concerning the lack heat in my dryer. As he replaced the heat sensing parts that had burned out due to a clogged dryer vent, he let me watch him work, he let me vacuum behind the dryer while it was pulled out, and he explained and demonstrated to me what the problem was so I could prevent it from happening again. I like that kind of service.

They came out today and were very punctual. He is very knowledgeable and understanding. He took the grill apart and showed us how to clean out the and how to change the filters. The price was very reasonable in comparison to other companies. I could tell right away that he was truthful and honest.

John Mathew was wonderful. My interaction with him was great. He was outstanding. He is a very honest upstanding man. He knows what he is doing. He was just excellent. I would rate him highly and he is who I would use for any large appliance repair.

He is a handyman as well. I had him out for two calls. I called him because I used him for something else before. I got the impression that he knew what he was doing. I was very pleased with the analysis of the problem and the reasonable charge for his repair. I was very pleased and he was quick to respond when I called. I felt he did the job efficiently. My overall experience was very good. His quality is hard to determine because it was not something artistic. It was to do with replacing a part and making an adjustment. It wasn’t as if he was doing something and it was artistic or something. It was a simple mechanical repair. He was a very good repair man.

He did suggest ordering all 3 parts that might be the problem rather than coming out to look at it, which made sense. I called on a Monday & he thought the parts would be in by Friday. I hadn't heard from him by the following Tuesday & he said, "Well I didn't call because I don't have the parts". I waited again & got a call on Thursday morning. He said, "The part came in & I can fix it between 10-2 this Thursday or you'll have to wait until after New Year's. AT that point, I said "OK". He arrived at 1 pm and after a couple of minutes, said, "You gotta be kidding me....Seriously?" THen he said to me, "Did you even know there was a lock on this thing?" I felt like an idiot. HE then tried to get me to replace my touchpad which was working fine. He said, "This will go out - I might as well replace it now". I told him, "No thanks". He fixed the latch, but his unprofessionalism cost him any future business.

I called mid-morning and left a message. Within the hour John returned my call and indicated he might be able to get to me yet that day. I explained the situation, told him it was not an emergency, so was not in a hurry, but I wanted the rib fixed as it was very noisy and I wanted to protect the clothing. He arrived early PM the same day. Upon showing him the problem, he removed the front of the dryer, tightened the loose rib and also checked the other two and tightened them because they were also a bit loose. He pulled the lint trap and cleaned it, which I had also requested. He also wiped out the inside of the dryer and then reassembled it. He turned it on and the noise was gone, and it heated up as expected. I think it took John a half an hour to do the fix. He also suggested I have the vent and hose cleaned from the outside and gave me a name and number of someone he recommended. I'm very pleased with the work, the cost, John's professionalism and timeliness. I used the Angie's list coupon they offered on the website and felt for the time and work done, the charge was very reasonable. John was pleasant and kind and I surely would call Mathew's again for other appliance repair.

When I placed the call to Mathew Appliance, he didn't have any free appointments until early the next week. I asked him to give me a call if he got an opening, he did and the work was done within a day or two of placing the call. I believe that the repairman who came to my home was the owner and he was pleasant, professional, quick and listened to everything I said about my machine and fixed the problems it had beyond the original repair I called about even though he arrived around 5 o'clock on a Friday night. Price was reasonable, good overall experience.

It went very well. Called about problem in the morning -- John Mathews arrived same afternoon with the needed part. He wil lbe our appliance repair service for all future problems.

John has worked on our washer/dryer twice before and we were very happy with his service once again. He came with parts needed and was done in less than one hour. He went above and beyond the basic repair and cleaned out the washer/dryer mechanical area as well. The washer works like new. He gave detailed information on the need to repair vs. replace. We will continue to use John Mathew Appliance Repair Services whenever possible. Great job.

I called for an appointment to look at a noisy refrigerator. It was working fine but making a loud noise and I was worried it would go out over Thanksgiving. He listened over the phone and tried to diagnose it. He thought it was the fan and ordered the part in before making a trip. I really appreciated that! He came once the part was in and the moment he walked in the refrigerator quit making the noise! I explained where the noise was coming from and he said it most likely was the fan. It was my decision whether or not to replace it, which I did. The refrigerator has been fine and running quietly ever since! I appreciate the honesty and all the explaining he did. I would highly recommend him!

John came out the same day I talked with him. He decided the problem was that many parts on our old Amana fridge had become loose. He vacuumed the unit out and tightened everything he could. Overall, it sounds fine now. We didn't need any major repairs and expenses, so we could justify the $75.00 fee.

Excellent, he provided service even beyond his service call. He had to spend some time before he came out and he also spent time after he left and called me back with a solution that worked.

He was awesome to work with. The price was a bit high but I didn’t have to buy another dryer so he saved me quite a lot of money in the end. He was on time and he was honest.

I am a single girl who owns her own home and I often fear that I am getting ripped off by repair companies. I have a 1 year and 4 month old Whirlpool refrigerator that stopped cooling completely. I called Mathew Appliance and they were not able to come out that day, but did say they would be able to come out the next day (this was not an emergency call as the refrigerator had gone out several days before hand while I was out of town and all the food was already pitched). He said he would call me in the morning and did so. At that time I stated I got off work at 3:30 and tentatively be home by 4:00 but would leave earlier if need be. We tentatively scheduled a 4:00 apt and he was going to call if he needed to come earlier (very courteous while discussing all of this). He did forget to call me at first, but he was only going to get there by 3:30 or so. I told him I would be able to be home by 3:45 and he had no problem with sitting and waiting for me. I did not feel at all like I needed to rush home. When I got home, he came in and went straight to work. He quickly found the circuit board had gone out and had a suitable part to replace it. It was not the exact model circuit board for my refrigerator, but it works efficiently for my purposes. He clearly explained my options and allowed me to decide what to do rather than be pushy. Within one hour, the part was replace and my refrigerator was working again. Very courteous and professional. I haven't had to repair many appliances, but I was definitely expecting the repair to be more money, but that could be due to my inexperience.

They were very presentable and willing to go above and beyond for me.

Discussed problem and possible causes. Provided serial #, make, model so that he could order the part. He came, replaced the defective fan, refridgerator works fine now.

Our washer (Kenmore front-loader) had stopped emptying. We called, he came promptly, and fixed it (new pump). Great experience overall.
