Mathew Appliance Repair

I'm preparing to have surgery and my mother is coming to take care of me. The very last thing I needed was a broken refrigerator. I called on Monday and he was able to come out on Tuesday. He verified the diagnosis he had made on the phone based on my description. Very efficiently, he cleared out the freezer, chipped out the ice, and unstopped the drain. He mopped up the water and was done within a half an hour. Mr. Mathew is very professional and knowledgeable. I have used him before to fix my dishwasher and I would not hesitate to call him any time I have an issue with an appliance. This time, he took care of a big headache and I have one less thing to worry about.

I called John on Monday and he was able to make it out to my house the next day. I work during the day, so I left my key outside for him. I had used John about 8 months ago to fix my refrigerator and liked and trusted him, so I didn't have any problem leaving him with my key. I used my washer this weekend and there were no leaks, so the price, quality and responsiveness were excellent across the board.

He had the parts with him based on our description of the problem and model number on the phone at the time the appointment was made. he also advised us on a problem we were experiencing with our refrigerator that permitted us to correct the problem ourselves. We have a peace of mind about appliance lifetime knowing he is available.

I would recommend them to others. He came the same day that I called. He was very quick and efficient and knew what he was doing. They were very good.

I was very pleased with his reponse time, he was puctual and professional. Explained the problem and what part neede to be replaced. He was able to complete the job in one visit. My 13 yr old dryer works quietly and very well. I would call them again, no question!

He is more than outstanding. I found him on Angie's List three or four years ago and used him, then I called him back.

Our first contact with Mr. Mathew resulted in him spending time on the phone with us rather than coming out. We thought our dryer was broken, but he told us things to check for, and then recommended another service company when our problem was a clogged dryer vent rather than a broken dryer. The next time we called for a broken washer. He was able to repair it for much less than the cost of replacing it, even though it was older. (It is a very expensive model.)We highly recommend him!

Mr. Mathews fixed my problem over the phone. He identified the problem, told me how to fix it (ok, I just had to push a button), and bam! This was the easiest appliance repair I have ever had done...and the cheapest. One three minute call, Mr. Mathews has a new customer and you may be assured I will be referring him to others.

John was prompt, quickly diagnosed the problem and ordered the replacement motor. In 2 days the motor was available and installed. All has worked well since then.

Mr. Mathews was a wonderful person, who quickly diagnosed what was wrong with our washer. He was very honest in telling us that the repair was not worth doing, as it would cost 2/3 of a new washer. It was a bummer that we had to pay $53 for ten minutes of estimate work, and that he was an hour and a half late. That being said, he was very nice, honest and worth waiting around for.

They did a prompt and wonderful job. They were reasonably priced and he was a really nice guy! He got the make and model of the appliance before hand so he was prepared with the materials he needed when he arrived. It only took about 20 minutes!

Mr. Mathew was courteous and easy to work with. He had detemined the model at the time of our call and was prepared with the probable repair parts. All in all a really good experience. I would definitely contact this company for our future needs.

John was very prompt in calling me back, and he really wanted to help us out and fit our wash machine repair into his schedule. He offered to come over the morning I called, and when it was apparent that I couldn't be home then, he asked if I would be comfortable if he came by while my husband and I were at work. Hubby and I conferred and agreed that so many positive reviews on Angie's List made him seem trustworthy. John arrived less than two hours later, called me with his assessment and was able to fix the machine quickly. He also mentioned that he could help us with kitchen appliance repair should we ever need it. I pointed out that the oven, which came with the house when we bought it a year earlier, seemed to run cooler than the oven dial said. His schedule didn't allow John to do a full oven assessment, but he told me exactly how to make some calibration changes to minimize the temperature fluctuation. I very much appreciated his willingness to help us on such short notice, and when he left, he was careful to secure the house behind him. I absolutely would use Mathew Appliance repair again!

Repairman was efficient and professional.

I called the appliance store this morning to have a service person come over to fix our washer (it was out of warranty). The company to which I was referred called me to say they don't work on LG washers any more. I called the appliance store to report this and they said they would have the service department call me back - which they never did. I then searched Angie's List and found Mathew listed with very high ratings and called him. He said he would try to fit us in today if possible and asked for my husband's cell phone # (who was working from home). Within less than 2 hours Mathew was at our house and assessing the problem. He called LG to find out what was wrong and was able to fix our washer within an hour. What terrific customer service - first of all to get someone on the phone when I first called, then for him to actually fit us in the same day AND be able to fix the washer. I will definitly call Mathew again if we need any repair work completed. When I left home this morning I dropped off our laundry at the laundro-mat expecting I would be without a washer for days. Guess I didn't need to do that after all :)

The service was great. The day before we had company arriving for Easter weekend the washer stopped working. We left a message that night. They called first thing when they opened the next moring, worked us into their schedule, and had the washer fixed by 9:00 am. If that's not great service I don't know what is.

We were charged the exact amount that was estimated. The overall experience was excellent. I would use this company again.

He has the highest integrity. He is conscientious, fair and responsive. He gives honest advice on what to do with my appliances, whether to fix or replace them.

I thought the heating/drying element on my 4 year old dishwasher was out. I called Mathew Applicance after research in Angie's List. They came out, put the machine thru a maintenance cycle and several error codes were noted. After talking thru what might be the actual cause of the non-drying problem, it was determined that replacing 1 part might lead to the correction of most/all of the error codes, and fix the issue I origianlly called about. Just a couple of days later the part had been received and they came out to install it. After running the machine thru a cycle to make sure there were not water leaks and the drying cycle was working, we were done! Mathews was very accomodating of my work schedule, on time for the 2 appointments, very polite, and helpful.

The repair couldn't have gone better. The repairman was professional, had the right parts to repair the problem and the price seemed reasonable.

We had a washing machine that needed repair from a move. Mathew returned my service request quickly and was able to fit in our repair so that it worked well with our schedule. The repair was diagnosed and completed with one half hour.

I talked to John and told him my problem and gave him the model number of my refrigerator. He worked around my schedule and came out and replaced the part with no problems. He also, answered questions I had about a problem I was having with my garage refrigerator. The part was expensive - but his labor charge was not. I would call him again.

I contacted John Mathew based on his great Angie's List reports. He had also done work nearby. He asked a few questions about our problems and the models of the appliances. He said it would likely be a few days before he could get to us but there was a chance he might have time that day. He called about 3:30 PM and asked if he could come out to our house then. He arrived quickly, diagnosed the issues, had the parts on his truck and fixed both units. I appreciated his explaining how the devices worked and he suggested a couple of ways to make the appliances more effective for us. John is great to talk to and is very professional in his actions. We will use him again whenever we have issues of this type in the future.

I have called Mathew Appliance Repair several times in the past for appliance repair. He was not able to make it Friday so I assumed I would see him on Monday but he came on Saturday and made the repair on the refridgerator very promptly. I will continue to use this company in the future and recommend him to anyone I know who needs appliance repair.
