John responded quickly to phone calls, arrived on time, correctly diagnosed the problem and repaired it.

John Mathew diagnosed the problem, ordered the correct repair part, then returned and replaced the damaged part. We were quite pleased with John's technical knowledge, promptness.....and the price was quite reasonable. He cured what looked to be a real headache in rather short order.

John called me back promptly after I left him a message. He was patient in listening to my problem and offered a fix over the phone which worked! Would certainly use in the future for any problems.

I paid a moving company to move all my furniture, etc. over the weekend and they did not use the stabilizers for the drum in the washing machine as required (front load). When I went to run the washing machine, it was shaking and seemed to be off balance. I contacted Matthew in the morning and he returned my call promptly. I explained the situation and he let me know he was pretty much booked for the day but would call if he could squeeze it in. He called a couple hours later and showed up shortly after that. He found that the machine itself was operating fine but the movers failed to level the washing machine properly. He corrected the problem and I am thrilled, with 3 kids in the home... thisis a must!

John identified the issue with my dryer, replaced two parts and wrapped up the job in 40 minutes. Pleasure to work with.

Our dishwasher wouldn't drain due to a clog. John was able to locate the clog and fix the problem.

John came out and repaired my refrigerator. There was a problem with the thermostat he put in and he was very responsive and quick to get me a new thermostat to correct the problem. Refrigerator is now great and looks like it'll last for many years to come! I would highly recommend Mathew appliance for any repairs you need to have done! I will definitely call them again if I ever need help with another appliance.

It was a simple fix. He had the part needed. Took about 15 to 20 minutes

I had some concerns about my refridgerator and he came out, looked it over thoroughly and did a great job explaining everything to me. He found that the appliance had no problems and charged me only for the service call. He was just wonderful and very nice.. I plan to use him for all appliance repairs in the future. Best of all he fixed it so that I can pull it out easily to clean it. I'm sorry I didn't have him do the same for my stove!!

We have a Maytag refrigerator that is only a couple years old. It began leaking water from the freezer compartment (the freezer drawer is at the bottom). Thinking we had a water supply leak, I shut the water off and called John. He arrived in a couple days, and was well familiar with the problem even before he set foot in the house. It wasn't a problem with the water supply at all--it was a condensation issue. The grommet that condensate flows through on its way out of the refrigerator and into the evaporator pan sometimes (actually, very frequently) gets clogged up. So water collects in the bottom of the freezer where it freezes and eventually overflows out onto the floor. John had the leak fixed and everything cleaned up within a half hour. He explained the entire process to us, and even showed us how to clean the escape hole next time the problem occurs. He's a true professional! I will definitely contact him next time I need appliance repair.

They came two days after I first called. As a result of asking questions before he came, he wa equiped with a replacement ice maker as well as a water pump and valve. Because of this avanced planning, Mathews was able to complete the job in minimal time.

My dishwasher hadn't been working well for a couple of months (not cleaning well, sometimes leaving soap in the soap container or undissolved on dishwasher floor), but I kept putting off doing something about it until one night it just refused to work. After looking at cost of new dishwashers and cost of repairs listed for top repairers on Angie's List reviews, I called Mr. Matthews. To my delight, he discovered the problem was that so much soap and crud from hard water had accumulated that the sprayer arm couldn't move. Within an hour he had the dishwasher ungunked and it now works fine. A heads up to all dishwasher owners: Mr. Matthew says the problem is that most modern dishwashers can't cope with the amount of soap in those packets or even the amount of powder recommended by manufacturers. Use less -- and occasionally run your dishwasher with just a bowl of vinegar in it.

The provider was friendly and tidy. The repair was successful, and he told me how to prevent the problem from reoccurring.

The cold water valve on our washing machine wasn't working. John responded quickly to the voicemail message I left him. He picked up a new valve and installed it, and now it works great! This is the third time we have called Mathew Appliance Repair. John has also worked on our refrigerator, gas stove, and dryer, and consistently does great work at a very fair price.

He was very professional. He knew exactly what it needed. He would have had to replace that whole unit which was going to be in the neighborhood of $450 just to purchase the unit and therefore we decided not to do so but to buy a new refrigerator but he was very honest and very upfront. He knew what he was doing. He did a minor repair to keep us in business in the meantime. I would call him in a heartbeat if I needed a repair again.

He was wonderful. He was very prompt. I needed an appointment quickly and he came soon and there was great communication. He was very honest and only fixed what was needed. I needed a drum support and a belt pulley. He also cleaned all of the lint out from the dryer. He gives you lots of extra tips. He goes the extra mile.

Refrigerator was not keeping temperature and was buzzing loudly. Mathews sent a serviceman promptly and identified a defective fan and an almost failed icemaker. Parts were ordered, requiring a second visit, but all work was done fairly promptly and the refrig is back to normal. He also checked the compressor and said that it was fine. This repair saved us the desperation visit to an appliance store to replace the refrig, which would have obviously been costly.

Hose had rotted and needed to be cut and put back on drain. John was prompt and fixed the problem without issue.

It went very well. We were going to buy a new refrigerator but he said we didn't need to and fixed it.

Great service. I watched John take the washing machine apart and realized I was glad I did not attempt this myself. Great guy and he definitely knows his stuff. I'd recommend him to anyone.

We were very satisfied since it made our decision easy. This is the kind of information I needed.

It cost me far less than a new dishwasher and he explained the problem very well. I will definately use Matthew Appliance again.
