From the first visit with Mike providing me a free estimate, to corresponding with Esvin to get me scheduled quickly, and to seeing Marco each day as the main painter, I give them all 5 Stars! As well as Marco's assistant. Very professional, courteous and cleaned up the work area each day. I spent more than I was thinking of spending, but it was well worth it! Thank you Gentlemen for a job well done!

Mike and his crew were prompt, professional, and great to work with. The project took a bit longer (originally 4 days, ended up being 5) because we added to the scope. Original quote was just around $2,500 but our additional requests added to the total.

Estimate was fair. Appointment was scheduled quickly. Painter was courteous & did a great job! I would definitely recommend Five Star & plan on hiring them again!

From start to finish, this was a great experience. Esvin provided me with a thorough estimate very promptly and the project was completed within a few weeks. The crew did a fantastic job making sure everything was protected and covered prior to beginning work. They were on time every day and completed the project on time. There was great communication and any questions I had were addressed by Esvin in a timely manner. The end result is gorgeous and I would highly recommend Five Star to anybody!

There was an immediate response for a quote and satisfied with that, I booked the job. I had to wait a few weeks for them to start, but that was also agreed upon. I needed help with color choices and ProTect uses Sherwin Williams paint, so SW sent someone to my home to help me pick out colors. That helped me tremendously. The color consultation resulted in some additional changes to our original contract but I feel their contract fairly spells out what the costs for changes will be so there aren't any surprises in the end. I have vaulted tray ceilings which I decided to paint separate colors which created a lot of additional work for the crew, but they happily complied even though it changed the original 4-5 day commitment to a 6-7 day commitment. From Day 1 to Day 7, their crew was friendly, professional and extremely courteous. They took great care to protect my furniture and my floors and even took down all my curtains and reinstalled them when the job was complete. I absolutely love the finished product. It's made our new house our home.

When Mike Felten came out to quote the job on our new house, a former foreclosure in shabby condition, he was able to provide a detailed written quote on the spot, which I really appreciated. We scheduled the work about a month out; the day before, I learned they would be delayed by one day, which was no big deal as we are not yet occupying the house. The scheduler, Esvin, was professional and responsive to any questions. The crew, led by Armando, showed up on time each day and the results are beautiful. I will use ProTect again and recommend them unreservedly to others.

We met with Mike Felton who came out to estimate the job, and answer our questions regarding paint finishes, and discuss the products they use. When we accepted the contract and got it scheduled, Esteven called me to let me know the date and time they would start. On that date Estevan was the first to arrive we went over what colors would go in each room. His crew then showed up and started working promptly. They were here for a total of 5 days. They were on time, very polite and respectful. They worked very hard and cleaned up at the end of each day. Esteven also came periodically to make sure that everything was going smoothly. On the final day Estevan came at the end of the day while his workers were finishing up, and asked if I was satisfied with the work, I was.

Mike Felten of ProTect Painters and his crew did an absolutely amazing job of painting my townhouse in the time promised and at a most reasonable price. They did everything right the first time, so that nothing required patching up or repainting. They provided me with the level of customer service people expected 50 years ago and usually received—a level of service that today is about as rare as the dinosaur. I would recommend ProTect Painters to anyone. Thanks, Mike!

Mike's crew just left and to say that I am pleased is an understatement. Everything was on time, from the initial inspection and quote to the arrival of the painters. Mike took the time to discuss different paints and finishes, and his quote was significantly lower than others. The quality of the work is excellent and prep and cleanup were thorough. I'll definitely use Protect again!

They were totally professional from start to finish!! So refreshing compared to other quotes I received, and while slightly more expensive the price was very competitive. I couldn't be happier with my finished rooms! I knew exactly what to expect and they delivered exactly as promised. Can't reccomend them highly enough!

Mike, Esvin, and the crew did a fantastic job. The job started on Friday, January 3 with the first coat on the ceiling. The painters were a few minutes early and stayed in their car until promptly at 8 am and came to the door. First coat on the ceiling went great, although the paint didn't seem to like my light fixtures. I was assured another process would be used to my satisfaction. The following Thursday and Friday, the painters came and finished up and really did a nice job. They ended up using a different kind of paint for the fixtures, and it looks great. They were polite, punctual and I would highly recommend them to anybody. I did get three quotes for this job. The one painter was comparable in price but said he needed to "ask some friends" about how to go about painting the ceiling and the proper paint to use. That didn't sit well with me. The other painter was a bit cheaper, but also hadn't done a ceiling like this in "a while", and was going to charge $150 for extra paint if needed. Mike told us they would spray until it was satisfactory, and materials were all included. They went through several 5 gallon containers, but it looks outstanding.

I had my kitchen, family room, office, foyer and a hallway painted. We also had drywall damage repaired. They did an excellent job. The drywall looked new again and you can tell a professional did the work. I thought the price was reasonable and would do it all over again. Very highly recommended.

We were very pleased. I didn't know that Protect Painters was on Angie's List; we got their name from someone else. When I saw they got a "C" rating, I had to put in my rating, since we were very happy with them. They even put up the shutters that we purchased on our 2nd floor windows at no additional cost.4200

Mike was very professional in viewing and getting proposal written. Even covered his shoes with "booties"- I appreciated that as my carpet is less than 2 yrs old. Estimate did state aprox. time to remove wallpaper but I think even he was surprized it was more than double. The 2 workers showed up on time on the 11th and worked at getting started by putting down tarps and starting on the paper. The walls had been "sized" when the paper was originally installed but still some had to be scraped and drywall mud used. Then sanded before primer. The 2nd day the workers did most of this. The 3rd day I was told they had a court date at 9:00 but would be back for work after that. At 2:15 I rec'd a call that the court was just getting out so they would not be coming. I had been waiting all day. The workers came on Saturday to do more on the primer--which really smelled awful!! Monday 1 worker showed up to paint and was here from 7-4:45. After he left, I discovered a blue paint stain on my carpet, in some areas the paint was not totally covering the walls, and I discovered that the heating vents had not even been removed for painting behind them. There was an area by door in the hall where then strip of wallpaper had not been removed, or painted, This is an area about 1/2 inch between doors. By the baseboard the walls are not smooth and it appears had not been properly mudded and sanded. Also, when you get up close to the wall there are areas where it looks like the nap from the roller is stuck to the wall. I sent this info to Mike yesterday so I am hoping to hear something from him. I do not want these workers to come back. Both told me they work on an as needed basis and that this is not the normal work they do. I am still scrubbing my oak trim trying to get the paint smears off. The one good thing is that I do not have wallpaper anymore and if you stand back the walls look ok until you start to inspect the work. Mike had two actual painters come in and try to fix all the problems. They were here Sept. 30 And Oct. 1st. They did as good a job as they could and, I believe if I had these 2 actual painters in the first place I would have gotten a professional job. The guys had to do lots of sanding, prepping and totaling repaint everything; they also removed as much of the paint off the woodwork as they could. I guess the lesson I learned is to ASK about previous work experience before letting them start any project and maybe hover over them. The last group of workers did the best they could to rectify everything. We normally do our own painting and will continue to do so in the future. Mike was very apologitic and concerned that things were made better.
