I called this company to see if they could replace two shower valves that another plumber was unable to do because he did not have the proper sized socket tool. Wes indicated he was an expert plumber and could handle the job. Wes started working on the job but never indicated how much it would cost nor any kind of hourly rate that he would be charging. At the end of 2 hours, of which a half hour was spent outside in his truck, he presented me an invoice for $1150. This was for labor only. I provided all the parts. In the end, the shower is functional but not 100%. He failed to use a spring that I found on the shower ledge after he left. He also left several fragments of parts that he removed, and did not even attempt to clean up all the lubricating oil that he used that ended up on the shower floor. The stench was nasty. If I would have known that he was going to charge $575/hour, I never would have hired him. I consider Wes a competent plumber at best but would never hire again.

The quality of the work is good, but the cost was not. The estimate given was $653 with that cost potentially doubling if they would have to replace all the pipe which they did. We were charged $1688. And while we understand that prices and material have increased in the last couple years, we were completely taken off guard that it was well over double. Also, the total included $95 to ask a question about a vent issue on a basement toilet. Were told they wouldn't be able to tell what was going on until he opened up the wall. We weren’t interested in that, so agreed to the spigot replacement. Had we known we’d be charged $95 to ask a question that took less than five minutes to answer while already there to do a larger job, we wouldn't have asked - just as a matter of principal. Ultimately this is our fault as we didn't say anything about the bill while they were here. We were so taken off guard, that we just paid rather than questioning the charges. Shame on us.

I put "No" for "Would you hire again?" because it wouldn't let me leave it blank, which is the true answer. The repairman worked really hard and installed a toilet, explaining the procedure each step of the way. They seemed quite pricey, but what do I know about it? But before he left, I asked if he could tighten the handle on the kitchen sink faucet, figuring it's another $5.00 - $10.00. He charged me $75.00 for turning a wrench a couple of times. So I'm ambivalent here.

The work that was performed was excellent. However, the cost was excessive. And, even though they told me one price for removing the drain clog, they found a reason to charge me more (almost double) what was quoted. Plus, the repair work that was done was very minor compared to what was charged. The tech spent about 2 hours total in my house and charged me $1100.00 (parts cost only about $10-$15 of that). Other than the original quote for removing the drain clog, which was given by the person on the phone who was setting up the call, I was never given any additional estimates of cost. They finished the work and handed me a huge bill. So, you can expect them to do a great job. However, expect to pay more than you planned.

During our service call in your home we discovered there was more work involved than what was spotted with a naked eye and that had to be adjusted accordingly. Most of the time we do upfront pricing and stick to it whenever it’s possible unless extra work is discovered and required along the way to fix the plumbing issue permanently as it was in your case."

Ferrari did a great job repairing a leaking toilet in our home. The repairs were described as the work proceeded and they frequently showed me where the problems were after the toilet was removed and we could see underneath. The collar under the toilet had cracked and the piping in the ceiling above my finished basement had to be rebuilt in a section as well. Ferrari costs a little bit more than other plumbers in my opinion, but they always do very thorough and high quality work. I would definitely trust them with my most important plumbing repairs over most other providers.

It did not go well. The guy they sent out did not seem that concerned with my issue and said I needed my pipes replaced instead. I called another plumber out who advised I did not need all that work done and I ended up saving myself a lot of money. I will not call on them again.

Service went really well, arrived on time on the same day and totally blew my expectations. Initially I contacted them for water heater and a sump pump replacement as both were underperforming. They tuned me in by explaining all of my options and suggestions but ultimately left it up to me with no pressure. Won't be calling anyone else for my plumbing needs as this company is the best plumber in Wheaton that I can trust.

The service this team provides is amazing. We have had them fix plumbing problems, leaks, installed new water heaters, fixed burst pipes... The quality of the work is the best of any company i have ever hires in my lifetime of home ownership. The best part of working with this crew is their people. They are very professional but also willing to spend the time to explain what they are doing and even go way beyond any workers we have ever hired to do anything on our house. You cannot go wrong by hiring this team. They are by far the best around!

I spoke with a customer service representative and scheduled an appointment . She failed to tell there would be an initial service fee of $95. The plumber arrived about 1/2 hour earlier than indicated. He spends all but 2 minutes "troubleshooting" and says "you need a new ejector pump" so after a few minutes of answering some of my questions, he said it would be $1100 for a new ejector pump installation. I said that I felt it was too high for this type of job. He said he would "cut me a break" and charge me $1000. At this point, I know I am not going to use these guys so I tell him that I will think about it. He comes back and said that for $900 he would install it that night. I declined and the guy got visibly upset. I paid him his fee and he left. These guys are clearly a type of service provider that you cannot trust and in my opinion everyone should stay away from them if you are looking for a reputable provided who will provide services at a price that is typical for the industry.

Repaired. Very rough working conditions working in an inch or two of water in crawl space.The went right to work, repaired the broken pipe, and cleaned up any mess in the living quarters due to muddy crawl space. Very competent and professional. Will hire again for any plumbing needs.

During a recent storm, I woke up at 3:00 am to the screaming alarm of the sump pump and a foot of water in my basement. I called Ferrari Plumbing and they immediately came out and checked the pump. Instead of trying to take advantage of us during the storm by replacing a good working pump, he went above and beyond by going outside in the pouring rain to check every possibility to try to find a cause of the flooding. With a flash light, he found that our drain pipe was plugged with a screen by the street. The previous owner had put a screen on the pipe to prevent mice to come into the house, which caused a back-up in our basement. Immediately after the plumber removed the screen, the water in my basement drained. Our home inspector failed to to report the screen, which caused the flood in the first place. In that, we really appreciate the expertise and knowledge of Ferrari Plumbing. I truly feel they took care of us instead of taking advantage of us. We moved to Wheaton several years ago and as a new home owner I find that having a reliable local plumber makes my life that much easier. I have used them many more times after and will continue.
