I wish there was an option of not giving any stars. I've been dealing with this company since September 12. They responded quickly with my request for a quote which was great. I bought a Groupon, sent them the confirmation number, and they scheduled me in September 23rd. I followed up September 21 to confirm what time they will be arriving and got the following response: 'My mother passed away Saturday. Everything we had scheduled for this week has been pushed back to next week. Let me know if next Wednesday, the 30th, will work for you. If not let me know what day will work and I'll see what I can do. Thanks.' I quickly sent them an email passing my condolence and confirmed an alternate date, the following Wednesday is fine. Fast forward to Wednesday I get a text around 10am (they are suppose to arrive between 10 - 11) that someone hit them from the back on their way to my apt and are waiting for the police. A few texts were exchanged and he says the accident was serious and it was a drunk driver at 10am who was arrested on the spot. They can't come at all or the following day and are available Friday. I don't want anyone injured working for me so I agree to Friday. Immediately I say to myself, that's a short recovery time if he's injured. I would have expected him to say something like 'i need to go to the hospital, we might be out a few days depending on how serious the injuries are'. Instead, the 'injured' person knew for sure that he can come Friday and paint. Friday is here and looking forward to getting this done so we can move forward with other projects. I text 10 am asking for ETA and no response. I continue to call/text throughout the day and no response. They said they would be here between 10-11 so I start to get worried they wont show up at all when I don't hear from them at noon. Assuming they were in a car accident a few days ago, I ask them if they are ok via text and again to please confirm what time they will arrive. It's almost 2pm and no response from them at all. I am assuming they overbooked or they decided it wasn't worth their time to come out all the way downtown to complete a job they agreed to. Regardless of the reason, it's incredibly rude to not be considerate of someone's time. These people are not professional, the Groupon deal really isn't worth all the time i've waisted dealing with them. What we ended up with is an apt that has been torn upside down prepping for painting for almost a week. Some advice for this company: 1. Do not take on projects you can't complete. 2. Being honest with people is far better than giving them the run around. 3. Be considerate of other peoples time. 4. Learn to manage your time better. 5. Be specific with Groupon on the areas that you can cover or ASK for the address in advance. If you live in the west loop or downtown core of chicago, I found someone who will do the job at the same price as this company.
