COMPUTER ROOM

Description of Work: Used them on several occasions. Had them come out to home and they set up some things on the computer and installed antivirus and removed unwanted programs. Was satisfied with the work and the staff expertise. Also took laptop on several occasions to store and had repaired and work was excellent. Just one bone to pick with them on recent call. Wanted them to come out to home to set up new computer and transfer files from old computer. Was told they were two weeks behind. I had no problem with that. I wanted to get an appointment and they were to call me back with a time. They did not. I called again to get an appointment for them to come out to my home and left several messages with staff and the owner never called me back. Very disappointed as their service was good in the past and calling back to customer was also good but not on the last contact so that is why not an "A" rating.

Description of Work: My laptop screen was starting to go out and I was having problems getting the computer started. I suspected virus/malware and age issues, and the 4-year-old machine needed some attention. Brian at the Computer Room took it in, advised us of some of the possible problems and solutions, and said it would be ready in 7 to 10 days. So of course I called back on Day 3. It wasn't suffering from any really bad virus or malware, but it did have problems with the disk drive (I'd known but forgotten, as I rarely have a disk to put it in the machine anyway). Brian kept me updated about the drive issues, the possible causes and fixes, and he kept working on it. It finally became clear that the problems were insurmountable because the problem was on the motherboard. Time for a new laptop. Which led to my calling the Computer Room from Best Buy. The other tech (Brian was off that day but had made sure all his coworkers knew I might be calling and had them fully updated on my wants/needs) literally walked me through what I would need on my new laptop based on what I had on my old laptop. He patiently spent at least 10 minutes on the phone with me as I compared laptops. The next day, I took my new laptop into the Computer Room, and Brian took all my old files and programs and put it all on my new laptop. Everything is in the same spot, just on a computer that works.
