I got 3 estimates for redoing our 3rd floor bathroom and am very happy I went with them. Stanley was whom I met with initially, but all of the work was done by a guy named Paul. He did a phenomenal job. Excellent work, made unexpected changes without missing a beat. Plus he was very nice and trustworthy and I was comfortable being home with him with just myself and my young child. My only complaint is that I wish I'd had a little more guidance as far as when to order what I needed, such as in what order or when will they need the vanity, tub, tiles, etc. I feel some guidelines should be provided to the customer, since the process is typically all new to us. But I figured it out and got an entire new bathroom for around 10-12K, including all demo and materials. Really happy.

We've used lots of contractors over the years with mixed results but Stanley and his team are the best by far. Price is fair and the work is high quality. The main focus is on doing the job right not just getting it done to move on to the next customer. They listen to you and try to put what you imagine into reality. We already have new projects lined up for next Spring!

End product nice, had fire from plumbing- not sure why because not a difficult place . He cleaned , but we still have fire smell because in wall a wood charred.

Stanley was always attentive to any of our questions. Daniel is an excellent worker, and very careful from beginning to end. Project took four weeks. Will definitely want Daniel to work in our next project. Stanley is very reliable and overall we were very happy with their services.

Stanley gave us an estimate on time and started the work as promised. Work was finished on time. Only one person - Parnel did the work and he was very courteous and respectful.

Global Home Improvment did an outstanding job on our bathroom. Stanley visited our home a few times to preview & assess the work needed and provided us with some product recommendations. Paul did the work on the bathroom... we were so very pleased with the level of professionalism, knowledge, advice and service provided. We felt like he was doing the job as if were his own home. Went above & beyond what our expectations were. We've had contractors do work for us in the past and never received service like Stanley & Paul provided. We're hoping to renovate our kitchen in the next couple of years and would definitely utilize their services again.

t took almost three months to get a start date, and then took 6 weeks to finish. I had to have some plumbing redone, and file down the sharp raised corners on some of the shower floor tiles. Nice installer, but less than professional results.

Contractor visited daily for 4 weeks for about 6 hours. Very accommodating and did well to solve problems with me as they arose and different design decisions on the fly. Was a pleasant if not extensive experience.

I got quotes from 4-5 different companies. A few came over to look at the job and then never sent me a quote. I had talked to a friend who had previously worked in construction and he gave me a good idea of what is a reasonable price. Every single one of the other companies I contacted gave me a quote of $25,000-$30,000 for the job for labor. Which is outrageous, but I'm used to it because we live in a posh zip code, but in a part of the neighborhood that is still middle class and has mortgaged houses, so when contractors come in, they usually quote me about double what it costs so I have to do a lot of research and call a lot of companies for anything I want to do until I can finally find someone who's honest enough to give me a fair price. I knew those quotes were way too high because, while the jobs were almost a complete gut, they were not a very large kitchen and bathroom. Stanley was the only one who came in at $12,000 for labor for both kitchen and bathroom together. I was a little worried because you know, "You get what you pay for", but I knew the price was in the range my friend quoted and Global Home Improvement had such great reviews. And I was on a pretty strict budget. Work was started promptly, perhaps a little early, because we expected them to start a week later and they had an opening so they started the bathroom almost right away and we had to scramble to get a tub and all of the other materials. Not something to complain about though. Mirek, the man who worked on the entire kitchen and bathroom project almost entirely by himself, was extremely skilled. He is a perfectionist and would not leave things if he felt like he could do them better. He is an excellent tile layer. I have never seen tiles done so perfectly. We had some really difficult shaped tile too. He did a beautiful backsplash in the kitchen with a relatively intricate design with travertine tile. He was always on time and is a really nice guy. He did the plumbing and electrical too. I knew the bathroom was a complete disaster because the guy my parents had hired to do it a few years ago didn't know what he was doing. Mirek put in cement board on the bathroom walls and floor. He also took out the old plywood, which was previously used as a base for the tiles, and installed cement board. Everything feels so much more solid and I'm not worried about floor the tiles cracking or falling off my shower, like they started doing a year after the previous reno (we bought the house from my parents so I've been living here for a while). Stanley and Mirek recommended that we replace the trap for the tub because it was really old and would give us drainage problems. Cost a little extra but was worth it. Everything was tested and we've had no problems with any of the plumbing in the bathroom. Overall, amazing job on the bathroom! Very happy. No issues anywhere 5 months later. They then started the kitchen. Knocked out a wall between the kitchen and living room. Reoriented all of the electrical on that wall and moved some of the other electrical. Re-ran the plumbing through the crawl space. Removed another wall, behind which was a very awkward staircase, which pretty much prevented us from getting any but the smallest furniture in the basement. Reoriented the staircase so it's a straight shot down. I can now get whatever furniture I want in the basement. Removed old plywood that made the floor feel like a trampoline and installed cement board. Very solid now. Installed vertical support beams for walls that were removed. Installed stone look porcelain tile, which was difficult to do because it didn't have straight edges. It looks just like stone. Great job Mirek, again! They also installed recessed lighting on a slanted ceiling, pendant lights, and a vent hood which they vented to the outside. I honestly can't even remember how many things they did to make that kitchen what I wanted. The kitchen is exactly how I wanted it. Mirek's attention to detail gave me so much confidence in allowing him to do his job without hovering over him because I knew he would make sure it's done right. We had a little snag when they hired a new guy to come help lay some tile down. Nice guy, but was terrible as far as skill and I am pretty sure I could have put the tile down myself better, which can happen to any contractor as they get busy and need more labor. Stanley immediately offered to remove the tile and have Mirek redo it at no extra charge. Luckily I had bought more tile than I needed and it was a final sale so there was no extra cost for materials. There were a few things that came out to about $2000 over the initial quote, but I felt they were very reasonable requests and were always done with my approval first and were really done to make sure we have a solid structure, solid floors,etc so I don't regret the extra costs. Stanley always picks up his phone or will always call me back right away if he's unable to pick up. He was very responsive and accommodating. I am extremely happy with the work Mirek and Global Home Improvement did. Now, for just a little bit of criticism. I expected that the kitchen reno would take about a month to 6 weeks. I expected that the bathroom can be done in a week or two Stanley assured me that they would finish the whole project in about a month total. I was skeptical. Bathroom took three weeks, which was way more than we had anticipated. The project took two months plus another 2 weeks waiting for the granite to get there. Mirek was the only one working on the project, except for a couple of times when some other people came to help put drywall up. Overall, I feel that there should have been at least 2 people working there the whole time and they could have finished the project in six weeks total. That said, I was also very happy with the work Mirek did so better to have one person you can rely on than two who don't know what they're doing. Also, the old cabinets and the rest of the waste stayed in my garage a couple of months and I felt that they could have hauled that away much sooner. That said, if that's how I saved the $15,000 then I'm fine with the extra time and a bit of inconvenience. I am very happy with the job they did and would hire them again without reservation. Great price, great work, very nice people to work with. I actually plan to hire them again for some ceiling patching I need done. Couldn't be happier with the outcome.

I asked for a refund. He said he'd start the next week and he did not.

Search no more. Global Home Improvement did an AMAZING job on our bathroom. I cannot say enough about Stanley, the owner and Rafael. On time, worked constantly and consistently until the job was complete. If there was any question about preference or location, Rafael would always check with us before he proceeded. Such great attention to detail and beautiful craftsmanship! My bathroom looks awesome. Also, a shower seat was built and a "barn door" style sliding door was installed. Working with Global Home Improvement was a great experience from start to finish. I would highly recommend them. They responded to questions quickly, were on time and very neat and clean. My husband and I were so impressed. I look forward to contacting them again for another remodel.

They did an excellent job and we were very pleased with their punctuality, professionalism and communication during the process. We live in Florida and needed to have the bathroom shower tile in our leased condo in IL completely replaced and updated. We purchased the renovation package on Angie's list for $1499.00 and couldn't be happier with the results.

Went excellent. All work was completed on time. They were perfectionist in detail.

We are very pleased with overall experience. Work was performed very professionally and we are very happy with the end result. We were happy with the following things: *Daniel and Peter worked well together and got a lot of things done in a day; there was a lot of progress each day with an eye for detail and quality. *Workers showed up every day and if there were changes to the schedule we received a phone call from Stanley. *Very thorough and an eye for quality. Nothing was overlooked or hidden and if there was extra work that needed to get done, Stanley came by and called us to inform us about it. We ended up getting custom doors, insulation and baseboards done as well, as we were pleased with their work. *They had their slippers and they were very considered about not getting the whole house dirty. *Good communication with workers: not all of them speak fluent English, but I didn't have a problem communicating. Every couple days I ?debriefed? with them to see the progress and to get updates on timing. Due to some additional work, the project ended up being a little longer than expected. But I rather have a contractor do good quality work than rush through to get the job done. We will definitely use Stanley and his team for future projects.

The service worked out pretty good. We were pretty satisfied with it. They came out within a couple of weeks of us purchasing the big deal. We had to pay an additional amount because our bathroom size was a little bigger then what the big deal was for. The guys he had working for him were pretty good. We had 2 or 3 guys here, and they were very cooperative. If we had questions about stuff, and if we needed a minor tweak here or there, there wasn't any problem getting it done.

Nice man. He took way too long and was very messy though.

I'm really pleased with it. The good stuff: Workers came regularly--no gaps except when waiting for countertop fabrication and one other day at the end. Good quality work. Stanley was responsive and flexible around our delaying the start and around having his crew work side by side with a team of (our) plumbers who were working on a separate problem at the same time. Creative problem solving by the crew lead fitting appliances and tiling into an alcove that was not straight, and not the same width at the wall as it is at the opening. He got everything in there. If I could improve anything, it would be communication. Some texts were dropped (granted, it's hard for me to hear on the phone, so phone calls may have gone better), I didn't always know what time they would come on a given day or what the plan was... The crew lead seemed not eager to give information (language may have been at work there). But that being said, there were zero surprises at the end, they were diligent with the work, and also seemed really invested in me being happy with the finished product. I'd definitely hire them again.

The project ran a little long... 3 weeks. But they did a great job. I am very happy with the results. The guys that work for company owner Stanley, are very conscientious and thorough and very trust worthy.

Job was finished in about 14 working days. They did an excellent job and paid a lot of attention to detail! There was a bit more work than I expected but it was needed and all looks great now.

Jerry Grzegorzewski was fantastic. He arrived as promised, was considerate and tidy. I would definitely use his services again!
