Description of Work: Once we agreed on the project, they quickly came in and completed it in 3 days. When I had a warranty issue it took several months for them to return. Finally, they said they would complete it when their work slowed up. When it did slow up, they completed the work satisfactorily. I would recommend them to others.

We are very very satisfied with the product and quality of work performed by Rod Dawson and his crew. We feel the price was very fair and the work was done when they said it would be. The crew was quick professional and cleaned up after themselves. We could not be happier with the end result. Fantastic job! We definitely will call Kitchen Connection when we need any other work done. COULD NOT BE HAPPIER. Thanks Rod

We live in an older home and they are familiar with the challenges of an older bath. They were willing to work with us and were available when we had a problem; we had the wrong tile and they took care of that; it meant extra work for them and we were not charged for that.

. Rod Dawson and the Bath Connection were not the lowest bid, nor the highest. I liked Rod, and I felt he would give my project attention and help me make good choice as I was inexperienced with this work. Nicki in the office was fantastic taking time to help me make choices down to paint colors and flooring. I am very pleased with their patience and level of assistance. I paid the initial installment in December, but due to my own delays in making choices (for the vanity, sinktop and lighting)- we did not commence until 3/15/2012. They did the tear out in one day, and the next day installed the shower, door and new vinyl flooring. They did the drywall work on the soffitt to install the new lighting. They left me time to do my own painting. I asked for assistance in repairing damaged areas to the walls, such as where prior fixtures and towel racks were attached. They agreed to do this. It was not in the original contract. They agreed to take down my large mirror (attached to the wall by clips) and reinstall it after the project was completed (to the existing clips). They did the wall repair grudgingly, and did a poor job, then told me to finish it up. i am inexperienced and it does not look very good at all. In the store I discussed with Rod covering my existing vinyl flooring with new vinyl to save cost of the new underlayment associated with higher priced options. I explained there was an existing seam showing in my current flooring, and showed him a sample of the new material I wanted used. I told him other flooring contractors and the sales people said to use a leveler product to cover the seam, so it didnt show thru on the new floor. Rod did say a new underlayment could be done, but would add $500 to the cost. I asked if it would still work and look good without that. He said it would be fine with the leveler. I was not present when the new vinyl floor was installed. Leveler was not used, Rod later admitted. He said it takes too long to dry. The seam showed thru slightly, and Rod said it was my fault for not using new underlayment. He charged me $690 to install the vinyl flooring, which was about 144 square feet. (I later asked the normal installation price from other contractors for such a job, and including new underlayment, I would have been under $500. Rod wanted $1190 for floor and underlayment). In Rod's defense, he did a good job with the materials. His prices may reflect that he did not charge me to install my new baseboards. There was no specific charge for removing and reinstalling my toilet, either. Which has to be done for a proper floor installation. His price may have been fair, but it sounds quite high for this part of the project. Since the floor didnt come out as I wanted, Rod did stand behind his work and refund not only the cost of installation ($690) but refunded my cost of the flooring ($230). I was pleased he took care of that. The wall repair of small flaws was done, but not completed. They told me to sand down the extra 'mud' on two spots. I had asked once if the 'scars' from the prior vanity/sinktop needed to be scraped-they told me it would be covered by the new vanity. As the project neared completion, the new vanity did not hide the marks from the old, and my sanding of patches looked awful. My intention for them to give me time to paint was to avoid having to paint with everything (lights, mirror, vanity and sinktop, toilet) installed and in the way. The one wall looked so bad, they scrapped it down for me, but I have to patch, sand, prime and repaint around lights, mirror, a towel bar and vanity/sinktop. Had they not wanted to do the work, I would have appreciated knowing. Since they agreed to do the work, I would have appreciated a more complete and professional job. Rod commented he didnt charge me for this work, as if this was a good defense for doing less than professional work. I felt if they agreed, they should not shortcut quality. I have yet to do my patching, sanding and painting- and wanted to avoid the mess this will again create now that everything is installed. On the last day of the project, Rod and his crews' attitude was much better. They paid more attention to detail and did things not so much in a hurry to finish, but with quality workmanship. The project looks very nice (minus the wall that still needs paint) and the seam in the floor is less noticable with everything installed. July 2012 update: This contractor did not re-visit to correct the following errors/flaws. a) the plumbing fixture in the sink lost it's Oil Rubbed Bronze finish within days. I had to pick up parts and replace myself. Company didnt make time to come correct b) caulking agreed upon was not done because I had to re-finish the wall behind the vanity backsplash, as they agreed to fix it but didnt do what they agreed. So, AFTER installation, I had to patch, sand and paint the wall. The caulk was to be installed after. The company would not come install this caulk. c) because of damage to the wall on the side of the vanity and sink-top (that I reminded the contractor to be mindful of, but he assured me it would be a problem) I had to order a side splash guard. The company would not come install, so I installed it, but it still isnt caulked. d) Caulking around the installed shower walls was missed. Contractor agreed to come repair, but has not done so after more than 60 days. e) They did not use a licensed plumber to do my work, and the installers used gas supply (black galvanized) for the supply lines from my copper pipes to their new sink faucet. This causes corrosion and rust immediately. They told me my house was messed up and the problem. I investigated, found the improper and illegal use of gas supply for water supply, and had another plumber repair and replace. I requested reimbursement from Bathroom Connection, and they did pay for the work. I have began the process of remodeling my other bathroom, and from this experience have learned Bathroom Connection used inferior materials at premium prices. I am having as extensive work done, if not more, on my main bathroom with higher quality materials for less money. Due to poor pricing, low quality work with little attention to details, and downright improper installation of plumbing as well as flooring causing this company to refund money, plus work still not completed, I would not recommend this company for work. At this point, I do not want this company to return to my home for any reason, and will complete the work properly with another contractor.
Description of Work: My master bathroom needed updating and had a possible leak in the shower enclosure floor. To avoid a potential leak, and update some past design and remodeling errors, I decided to do a complete update, including flooring, vanity and sinktop, shower including door and lighting. I had 4 bids. The Bath Connection tore out the existing shower enclosure, vanity and sink top. They removed the existing toilet and picked up the flooring from the flooring dealer for me. They installed the new vinyl floor, the vanity and sinktop including all plumbing, the shower and door, including all plumbing and fixtures, and closed in a soffit used for flourscent lighting and re-installed more up-to-date lighting, as well as a light over my shower that was not there before. They also installed a towel bar, and attached new baseboard I provided and painted (they cut it to fit) and a new heating vent cover I provided. They took down my large wall mirror, and re-installed that at the end of the project.

They are family owned and have so far been very good and reliable. They are still working on the project but the workmanship seems to be fine. I will use them again in the future.
