When we were ready to go, we called and set up an appointment for about two weeks later.On the agreed date, no one showed up. We called and an unfriendly female answered the phone. She blunted informed me that she didn't set up the appointment. As she was speaking, her husband walked in and she handed the phone to him. He said he forgot to put it on the schedule. He proposed to reschedule the following day, which was Good Friday. That did not work in our schedule. He agreed to send someone out later the same day, who arrived around 10am. He stayed for the eight hours, which included his lunch break. The quality of the work was good- door and trim painting is slow going. But I was not impressed by how how much painting actually got completed. They asked if we wanted them to come back the next day for additional change. We declined. I am now 0 for 2 on the Angie's List deals with highly-rated contractors. For some reason, they seem to treat this work as an annoyance. I contrast this to my overall Angie's List experience, where 90% are A performers

I used the recommendation from Angie’s list for him. He was amazing. The thing that is amazing about him is that he came in on Monday morning at 7’O clock and he was on Wednesday evening at 7’O clock. He is very professional and a friendly guy too. He came in did all the work cleaned up, everything was clean and they were gone. I thought it’s going to take them 2 weeks. At one point the weather turned bad, because he couldn’t do the outside jobs he brought them in and they sprayed inside my house very quick. When the weather got better they went outside and did it. The quality of work was really good. The price was fine, I thought for the work they did it was reasonable.

We scheduled for 7:30 am. Ronbo showed up but his painter did not. While we were waiting, Ronbo complained about the deal I bought, that too many were bought, that Angies List takes a big cut, he has to pay his guys and all their insurance, etc etc. Says he's not making any money on it, etc. Very unprofessional, and not something I have any time or desire to listen to. Not my problem. He looked around and criticized all of the painting that had been done (most of which I did).The painter finally showed up at 8:30 (I had to have the kids up, dressed and fed by 7:30 to make the scheduled appointment, so he really inconvenienced us, but never apologized). The painter took a lunch and started to pack up at 4:00. My wife told him we should at least get another half hour, although we were probably owed more time. He was undoubtedly the slowest painter to ever have painted. He accomplished very little, using less than half a can of paint the entire day. This was no bargain.

The gentleman that came out was very nice and did a great job. He did a great job without taping!! Awesome. I would definitely recommend Ronbo's.

Ronbo and one employee came to our house. He was pretty chatty, telling us how little money he was making on the deal but that it at least keeps his workers busy during winter. At first I thought I was going to be annoyed, but by the end of the day I had gotten to like Ronbo pretty well. He painted while he talked, and he gave us some good advice on removing some splashes of paint from varnished surfaces. Shortly after arriving and seeing the paint I had purchased, Ronbo said he would need some fast-drying caulk. We got out the caulk we had but it was not fast-drying, so he suggested he go buy some. I didn't like the idea of paying them to shop, so I went and picked it up myself from Paulsen's Paints after he called in the order. I did not mind doing this, but it would have been better if he'd suggested what kind of caulk I should have on hand in advance. I guess he didn't know until he saw the trim that he would need any. All in all I was pretty happy that they were able to get it all done in the day, and the quality of the work is good.

Roberto is an excellent painter. He arrived on time and got to work quickly with only a short explanation of what I wanted to have painted. I was most impressed with his ability to work with splendid precision with no mess. He cleaned up well and the quality of his work is superb. I am very pleased with the quality of work and beautiful doors.

His service was fine. He did a good job. I thought the price was borderline high, but his quality and professionalism was great.

They did a great job with my gutter cleaning, including clearing out the drains which were packed with schmutz, and painting the decks. I misread the estimate so was a little taken aback at the cost. After I received the estimate and agreed to it, I waited a few weeks to hear from them when I would be scheduled. I finally called to inquire, and did not get a call back but they just showed up one day. They did do good work though.P

It went fine. They came out and did the work and had no complaints with what was done.

They did an excellent job. They’re really thorough and professional. I even waited for them to be available because I knew they would do a good job! We’ve used their services in the past and would use them again in the future.

After two previous experiences with the college-kid painter companies, we said, Enough--time to hire a pro. As promised, Ronbo's team performed extensive prep work. What the college kids spent a day on, Ronbo's team spent a week on. I was delighted to see someone doing the job right. The painting team couldn't have been more professional. They came exactly when they were scheduled, and cleaned up beautifully at the end of every day. After the job was finished, we did have an issue with paint bubbling on one side of our garage. Ron quickly came to assess the problem and scraped the offending sections. I give the company a B in Responsiveness because we did have to wait more than three weeks for Ron to return to repaint these areas and because, early on, there were some communication glitches. A couple of customer-service highlights: I asked Ron to tell his team to be especially careful of one young tree, which we'd just planted in honor of my late mother. When I returned from work, the tree was marked off by three little stakes and caution tape, which tickled us (and would have tickled my mother, who did NOT like to be disturbed). Also, the college-kid painters who painted our house about 5 years ago, unbelievably, painted over our custom brass house numbers. When I told Ron that I'd remove the numbers before they started painting, he said, "No, I'll take them down, strip them, polish them, and remount them for you." And he did. Wow.

We were very satisfied with the work done. The quote was higher than we expected but Ron explained it was because of all the prep needed. Once the work started I saw that the workmen did spend a significant amount of time scraping off old loose paint and replacing caulk where necessary before the painting could begin. The work was done promptly and professionally. They cleared up after themselves completely each night and at the end of the work. The men working here were friendly and cheerful and worked very hard. They were careful so that there was no paint anywhere it wasn't supposed to be. Ron was very responsive. If I had questions during the process I was able to call his cell phone and he returned my calls quickly if he wasn't able to answer the phone right away. We were also very satisfied with the previous projects - the basement ceiling and the interior room painting. They moved and covered furniture as needed when doing those projects and cleaned up completely afterwards.

Ron did great work on two interior bathrooms. The job included repairs to old plaster and working in some very tight spaces to eliminate all traces of the hard-to-eliminate dark red previously in the bathroom. The work was top notch and the bathrooms look great. As always, Ron and his crew are wonderful to work with, answering all questions, patient with last minute decisions on our part, and bringing good spirits with their work. Highly recommended.

Ron worked hard to get this paint job completed for us as a late season request before winter came in. We needed the job done right away and at the first good opportunity with the fading season he was there to quickly get the work done. As always, the work was thorough and detail oriented. Moreover, working with Ron is a pleasure – a contractor who is patient, responsive, friendly, good humored and always looking out for his customer’s best interests. Highly recommended.

What I like about him is they are prompt, they get the work done, they clean up maticulously, and I trust them to do great work. I have used him for over 10 years.

Ronbos came out and provided a competitive estimate; you can tell he is very knowledgeable and i was very impressed with the overall communication and professionalism. His crew started right away, prepping and painted the entire exterior within 2 weeks (working 12 hour days, including Saturdays). They were very clean, hard working and extremely polite from start to finish. I was very satisfied with the overall experience and would definitely recommend Ronbos to friends and family.

My husband and I both have careers that limit time to manage jobs that we hire out. Ronbo was the perfect hire for us. He was punctual, professional and most of all his work was beautiful with no need for follow up after completion of the exterior paint and interior knobs.

Everything turned just fine with this company. I don’t have any complaints about them and I would use them again.

The process was great. Ronbo was great to talk to and gave me a very good feeling from the start. The job was done very professionaly. These guys also made several accomodations time-wise that added to our satisfaction. Doug was the crew chief at our house. He was very personable, knowledgeable and executed the job flawlessly. He was very responsive. He had to scrape all the old paint and repaint. He does an OK job and his prices are good. He was supposed to come back and do another job and he never showed up because he has no interest in doing that job which he should have told me.

It was fine. They were very prompt and professional. The painting was wonderful.

He is awesome. I think he is the best person and I would use him forever. I spent $1200 on that last service. He was beyond outstanding. I would tell other members that he is prompt, on time and very thorough. The quality of his work is what I think is outstanding above and beyond the fact that he is just a wonderful person to deal with. He is just an easy person to deal with. 1.5 years ago he painted my whole house, so I have used him for a long time and he has been wonderful. I think that his pricing is excellent. I would absolutely use him again and no one else for this type of service.

Ronbo's team was prompt, professional and did fantastic work. They started and finished when they said they would, and left the house very clean. Ronbo was also very clear about the work that needed to be done and there were no surprises.

I chose this contractor because they were highly rated for my area. the rep was punctual & on-time for the estimate. they were very knowledable. i went with another Angie competitor who was also highly rated. Decision was based on economics

I contracted Ronbos Painting to paint three areas in my home. I had used them before. Work was done while I was out of town. My error . I came home to multiple problems. The kitchen walls were painted in the wrong color, the bedroom ceiling was patched and painted poorly and my bathroom had the minor touch up areas done but was not repainted in the color we had chosen . In addition, several tiles in the bathroom were stained. Ronbos did repaint the kitchen walls, did repaint the bedroom ceiling, which still has issues, but refused to take responsibilty for the tile damage, and in conversations that followed, refused to paint the bathroom in the correct color . This 1325.00 job had a balance of 325.00 and Ronbos stated they would put a lein on my house if the balance was not paid. My lawyer recommended paying the balance to rid myself of the financial and emotionally stressful headache that a lein would bring. We did pay the remaining 325.00. Things I have learned from this experience, be home when work is done and make sure your contract is throughly DETAILED because my contract was loosely written.
