Ronbo's Fine Painting Inc

We had a great experience with him when he was here. He arrived on time and was very professional. We just ended up going with another provider for our project instead.

I was happy with the service, it just went a little slower than I would have liked. They were only able to get to one room. Overall, I was still happy with the work that was done.

Ronbo's Ron Fehey is great to work with. He has solid painting expertise, and knowledge of paints and materials. He is responsive with quotes, discussing them in detail. Ronbo uses the best materials. Ronbo is someone to use if its quality you're after. Ronbo's workers are skilled, clean and tidy with virtually no splattered paint anywhere with a very large job. The job exceeds our expectations.

Ron was super busy but was able to accommodate our schedule. We were trying to get our pergola repainted after 8 years and prior to the ivy growing back in. Priced it over the phone by looking at a couple of pictures and sent two of his guys and he did a great job.

I called Ronbo to get a quote on a drywall job. The person who answered the phone was very pleasant and professional and we arranged a time for the estimate. Ronbo arrived right on time and was also very professional and pleasant. He worked quickly and his quote was very reasonable and was given right there on the spot. Just after Ronbo gave his quote we were put in touch with an old family friend that does drywall as well as plumbing and is also a licensed electrician. Since we needed all of those services (and due to long standing ties) he gave us a package deal with an unbeatable price that included the drywall. Because of that unique situation we did not go with Ronbo but we would (and just might) work with him again in the future. Compared to the other contractors we contacted through Angie's List, Ronbo was especially responsive and professional. Although we did not see his work firsthand, I would recommend contacting Ronbo for any drywall or painting quote you are considering.

The following occurred: 1. They broke the chandelier shades, because they did not bother to lower it, or remove the shades. 2. They painted around the ceiling fixtures, without dropping them, leaving paint on the metal which had to be cleaned. 3. They also got paint on the new glass globes in the closest. 4. They were to remove the wall paper and paint in the kitchen. They left some of the paper on the wall and painted around it. 5. They forgot to paint behind one of the doors. 6. They left the lights on in the bathrooms when they left the apartment after they were "finished". Since I was out of town, the lights remained on for 2 weeks. 7. They were to repair some areas on the plaster walls before painting. This was not done. They painted over the bad areas. When I met with the owner to review the above, he was very condescending and told me that these were his best painters. He did have a crew remove the rest of the wallpaper and finishes painting the kitchen and the missed space behind the door. However I had to have another painter in to correct the other issues. My mother had used Ronbo on two other occasions and did not have these issues. I don't know what happened this time, but the experience was so awful that I would not recommend them.

We had several area painters bid a package to repaint the interior of our house. After receiving all the prices, we decided to go with Ronbo, not because he was the low bidder, but because he seemed to have the best plan for fixing the plaster cracks throughout the house and I felt sure he wasn't going to do a cheap job. Right before signing the contract he told us that he was about to have hip surgery which would put him out of commission for the next few weeks, so he might not personally be completing the job. No worries though. He told us before we signed the contract and we didn't hold it against him. He's still got a business to run. Ronbo assured us that his long-time painter Doug would complete the job with no problems. In fact, Doug had bid the job so we were already familiar with him. We found Doug to be super friendly and easy to work with. He and his helper showed up on time and finished the job within a week. We had a hard deadline for them to finish because we had to move in. He was very commicative throughout the process and we were very comfortable having him and his helper in our home. No complaints at all there! My only issue was that I felt the quality suffered a little bit due to the fact that Ronbo was out for surgery and they were short-handed. That's not to say that Doug and his guy weren't very capable. They did a great job for the most part, but they had to rush to finish on time and in some places you can tell. A few things just got missed. In Doug's defense I was aware of at least one of these (like a popped joint in a ceiling that didn't get patched), and told him just to leave it because I didn't think there was time to go back and re-do the ceiling (there wasn't). All and all they did a pretty good job. I'm sure if they'd had a little more time, or another person or two, there wouldn't have been any problems at all. I'd definitely use them again, based solely on how easy Doug was to work with!

Ron and his team did an excellent job in painting the complete interior of my home. They paid close attention to the details while being efficient in how they got the entire interior of the house painted within a relatively short period of time. Ron checked on his crew daily to make certain that they were completing the work to a high quality. The crew worked 11- 12 hours per day and cleaned up at the end of each day. While Ron?s bid was not the least expensive I received, I believe I received a good value for the money that I paid.

I bought an Angie's List Big Deal for Ronbo's since I needed exterior painting done on my house. However, when I called to schedule them to come out, I was informed (on two different occasions) that this deal is for interior painting only. However, no where on Angie's List, or the Big Deal that I bought, does it indicate this.

,The owner listened to my concerns, responded to issues that came up along the way, completed the work in the time frame that was discussed.

Ronos responded quickly, visited the site and provided a price the same day. Set a date to start the work and began on the agreed date. Power washed the exterior of the house prior to painting. Protected the vegetation and driveway prior to painting Started each day at the agreed time. Finished the project on time. The owner came to the final inspection and made all minor corrections.

When I called to set up the appointment for this, I thought the gentleman on the phone was very rude. He seemed aggravated that I was asking to use the Big Deal coupon and made an off hand comment about how he's had a lot of people purchase these and he didn't know when he could do the work. He was in the middle of another customer's job when he took my call which I thought was unprofessional and I thought he was way to casual with his language, using profanities and such. I just wasn't comfortable with his attitude and I canceled the coupon and asked Angie's List for a refund.

The overall experience was great, we will be using Ronbo again in the future when we need any painting done.

RON GAVE US A FAIR BID AND BECAUSE WE HAD USED HIM MANY TIMES IN THE PAST WE KNEW TO EXPECT THE JOB TO BE DONE WELL AND ON TIME. WE WERE NOT DISAPPOINTED. Ron and his team are prompt, flexible, responsive and aim to please. We have used him in repeat business over a decade....Ron will correct issues of discrepancy/disagreement. His team painted a room of ours the wrong color once and repainted it without any reluctance. Ron has an eye for color choice as well. The work is done with sense of humor as well. Commercial and residential, inside and out....he does it all. And the team ALWAYS clean up after themselves.

I've been using Ron since 2001, and I no longer even bid out my painting or home repair work - - they are that good, and their prices are that fair. They show up on time, they do great prep work, and they clean everything up when they're done - so well that you don't even know they were there except for the fact that you have a beautiful new paint color. I've referred Ron to many friends, who have all been happy with his timeliness, honesty, fair price, and work ethic. If you have Ron's guys paint the outside of your home in the summer, you'll be running out with lemonade, because you can't believe people work so hard! You should also know that when you have Ron's guys in your home they are polite, respectful and nice to your dog and kids. ; ) Sounds like a small thing, but this is very important when you have workers in your home.

He never showed up on the day he was supposed to. I had even taken my dog to a dog day care so that the dog wouldnt be in the house during the painting. I called him and he returned me call on a later date and said it was his wifes fault for him not showing up. He said she was taking messages for him and he was out of town. He was very patronizing to me and that made me kind of dislike him. The guys who did come and do the work were fine. They were enat and didn't get any paint anywhere. He did give me some extra hours for the troubles. He sent me a bill after the work was done and I paid the balance minus the charge for the dog day care.

I contacted Ron Feley from Ronbo's Fine Painting for an estimate. He was able to come out within 24 hours to review our project. He was extremely knowledgeable about the type of work that would be involved. He quoted the project, complete with many days of prep work, grinding, sanding and making the steel ready to receive the primer and paint. He honestly said that it would be a labor intensive, messy project but that his team was up to the challenge. He gave me a quote on the spot! Awesome! His price was fair, compared to other quotes we have received and overall, I had a very good impression of Ron. Reviewing the project with him was more like chatting with a friend, than hiring a contractor. They were also flexible on their terms of payment, as a small association, we needed to stretch it over a bit longer of a time. They had scheduled the work to be done in the first week of October which gave our residents enough time to clear the majority of items from the decks, leaving only the largest and heaviest pieces. The estimated time was one week, or "until it was done" given the possibility of inclement weather. The team began the project on October 2nd. Grinding, scraping and prep took three days to complete. At the end of each day, the crew would sweep and vacuum all of the deck surfaces so we were never tracking any mess into our homes. When the priming and painting began, the crew took great care with how neat and precise the primer and paint was applied so we have virtually no mess on the brick building or wood portions of the deck. They even went an extra mile by priming and painting exposed steel which was above all doors. I had not expected that level of service. Overall the steel has been cleaned and sealed properly. The structure and stairs look amazing and we are very pleased at the high quality and professionalism demonstrated by Ron and his crew. We will have them back to do our iron fencing as well as interior projects as needed. I would highly recommend them.

To say that we have been pleased with the work Ronbo performed is evident in the numbers of years and variety of projects Ron and his crew undertook at our homes. We found his estimates to be mid range in price. Higher than some comparison quotes we received but not the highest either. I'm a believer in you get what you pay for. And as a result, Ron's crews were always prompt, clean and respectful. Ron and Jackie have always been prompt with return calls and excellent with follow up and addressing any issues. We can't recommend Ronbo enough.

I had to get another service provider to do the plastering for me and afterwards I called to ask what kind of paint I should get, to confirm the scope of the work that would be completed, and to confirm the appointment time. He responded to tell me the type of paint to get and told me what time his men would be there. I came by with my mother to look at the work later in the afternoon. I noticed that the paint hadn’t been painted all the way down the stair well and the plaster was still visible. The metal frames over the windows and transoms around windows and doors hadn’t been done. They told me that the ceiling work was too much work for the time that was covered in the Big Deal and that they needed to leave an hour in their day for cleanup. I told the painter, Doug, that all of this was agreed upon with Ron and that they were supposed to take care of all of the work. They told me there wouldn’t be enough time after clean up and touch ups. They still had 2 hours left in their day (as covered in the Big Deal) and I left but called the tenant an hour later to see that they were still there and to see if they had enough paint. An hour later I called the tenant and he said that the workers left after I left. They left some time between 2.30 and 3 when they should have been there until about 4. I called the business line and couldn’t get a hold of them so I texted and left voice mails. In the text I indicated what had happened and that I was outraged. I asked when they would complete the work since it was completed. Later I got a call from Doug, one of the painters, and he explained that they didn’t leave early. They were there for 7 hours and they couldn’t clean up because the tub in the basement was flooded. He also said that I told him that he didn’t have to paint the transoms. It was a lie and I was so upset that he was arguing with me that I hung up. I called the office again and left messages with no response. The day before yesterday I called again I asked to know when they would come to complete the work and told that I was not happy that they shared my number with one of their employees. Yesterday I got a call from Ron and he let me know that the painters were professional painters and that their time was expensive. He said everything was finished and that the coupon had to do with a 7 of hours and not specific work completed. He proceeded to threaten me in a bizarre way, calling my tenant a crack head and saying that there were people in my neighborhood shooting up. He said that he was going to come to my neighborhood, with a klu klux klan hood over his head and that he would clean up and do whatever work he could do in one hour. He also said that I would have to pay for that hour at his hourly rate. He said he would show me and everyone else in my neighborhood what a republican does. I told him not to step foot on my property.

House had not been painted for ten plus years and was in need of major work. This is the first time I have ever hired anyone to do major work for me since my husband's passing. So I was not experienced in making these types of decisions on my own. Ron was very helpful and fully explained my options and the best course of action. He was attentive throughout the job checking progress almost daily throughout the week. I am extremely pleased with the service, advice and finished product. Plan on doing interior ceilings this winter and would use no other painter than Ron and his crew. In closing Ron, is not only the owner of Ronbo's Fine Painting, Inc. - he is Mr. Personality Plus and someone whom you can trust to guide you through the entire process.

Had bad experience with this vendor. Work was of a poor quality - still picking up paint chips and they did not complete agreed upon scope. Crew left with job half-way done - after two week hiatus, work was finally done. Generally, too much of a pain to deal with this company. Would not recommend them at all. If you do use them, I highly recommend you do a thorough walk through before rendering final payment.

I had a great experience using Ronbo's fine painting I loved the painter he sent out not only was he very detailed but he kept to himself, worked around my four young children when needed and cleaned up every spot of dust after he was done working.

2 Painters came out as scheduled, they did a great job of taping and taking care of the carpet, trim etc. They painted the stairwell and ceiling and had plenty of time left so I asked them to keep going and they painted the hallway as well. They did a great job and we were very pleased with the quality of the job.

I called for the estimate. It was the best of three I had solicited. I signed the contract and the workers came within a week or two.
