We had a great experience with McCann. Kevin was extremely responsive and a great listener. He understood what we were looking to do and helped us understand the different prices of the different window styles. He made sure we understood what we were getting and that it met our needs. I also really liked that they had a handy man that could come out and get the rest of our windows to be functional, so we didn't have to hire a completely different company. They did a great job and we're really happy with our windows. This process was expensive, but windows are not cheap but McCann was a great company to work with.

The entire experience from their initial call back asking for more detail about the job I wanted done to the sealing caulk making the new doors air tight, McCann did an excellent job. The cost of a major reconstruction like this is high, but that should not be confused with McCann being expensive--it just costs a lot for windows and doors. The salesperson who came to the house was knowledgeable, thorough and very responsive. The windows/doors came in a full 2 weeks earlier than expected and they installed them on a Saturday which worked perfectly with my schedule. The whole install took just one day as the workers worked diligently from the moment they arrived. They cleaned up the work area as they went along and at the end it looked as if they were never there. The final install looks fantastic--better than I had hoped.

The workmanship was outstanding. The installers were prompt and there when they said they would be there. The installers were neat and clean and left no trash behind. In talking with in installers, it was obvious that they had a great pride in working for MacCann and company, and it showed.

The McCann guys were great - they came in and explained the process, and did a good job of advising us on the right kinds of doors and windows for us. We chose vinyl awning windows in the basement, and Pella replacement windows for the bedrooms. During the installation, the team sealed the house so that debris and paint chips would not be transported elsewhere, and made quick work of all the replacements. Cleanup was done well. Great job guys!

Everything went smoothly, from the initial contact to the final installation. I liked Todd, who came over to look at the windows and gave me an estimate. He answered lots of questions from me helpfully and in good humor. After we ordered the windows it took about a month and half before they were installed. The guys who installed them worked from morning to after dark, and managed to get everything done in one day. They did a great job cleaning up after themselves and left everything spotless. There was a problem with one of the casement handles, and they needed to order another one. That came a few weeks later.

Over all they were very good. We would use them again.

Initially the wrong color windows were made. It delayed the install date by about a week or two, but I wasn't in a rush to get them installed anyway. The installers were prompt, efficient, and clean. The windows look great. After they left, I had noticed that one side where the aluminum cap meets the siding pulled away from the caulking. I notified them and they came back promptly to recaulk the gap.

They gave an estimate. They stayed with the estimate. They were very thoughtful and courteous.

We got a few estimates for window replacement and went with McCann because of their reputation and competitive pricing. Everything from start to finish went extremely well. The windows came in when expected and were installed on the expected date. The workers arrived on time and did an excellent job on the the installation and didn't leave a mess behind. We also asked them to recap and re-insulate 3 other windows. Any time we contacted McCann they responded quickly with a phone call or email. We're very happy with the windows - they look great and we would use McCann again.

They were very punctual. They were very professional and described his products in great detail. I decided not to go with him because of the cost.

There were a few very minor issues after the installation that needed to be addressed, and they did so promptly without any difficulty to our satisfaction. It was a pleasure to deal with them, and even though they weren't cheap we would definitely use them again. We give them our highest recommendation.

My husband and I are delighted with the experience we had with McCann. Kevin came to our home promptly after our initial inquiry and gave us a very competitive quote. He then returned a second time with a sample window so that we could see exactly what we were ordering. We waited about 2 months for the installation, which we thought was reasonable since the order was place right before the Thanksgiving holiday. We were amazed that the work could be done in the middle of January. The installers were very efficient, completing the work within one day. The removed all the labels from the windows, washed them and left no dirt or refuse behind. The windows look beautiful and make our 50 year old house look brand new!

A very disappointing and frustrating experience.

It was great; they were the best; from the estimate to the delivery and the cleanup; they were just the best. There was not a single thing I could complain about. I will use them again in the future.

I have nothing negative to say about McCann windows. We called requesting an estimate and the owner (Kevin) even came out to our house on a Saturday. We told him exactly what we wanted and he didn't try to push the higher priced windows on us. Since we plan on moving within the next 3-5 years, we wanted something that was energy efficient, that helped to cut the draft, and not too pricey. We had other companies come out and give us ridiculous quotes of overpriced windows that had all the extras. Kevin really listened to our needs and gave us exactly what we wanted. It did take about 6 weeks after we ordered the windows to come in. So if you have a specific time line, factor that in. I think that is standard across the board with any window company you choose. We wanted to get it done before it snowed and luckily we did. When the contractors came, they were on time, cleaned up after themselves and completed the job in a few hours. I would recommend anyone to McCann windows because they did a great job and REALLY listens to their clients needs.

Outstanding Job from start to finish. Kevin came out to review our current door frame and gave us options of what we could do. A company employee came back and measured and another employee came back a few days later to confirm measurement of the door. Kevin confirmed 6-8 weeks and at 7 week received the call the door was ready for installation. The team that came pulled the old door and installed the new door within 3 hours. A follow up call from the office to make sure the installation went well. Then a follow up call a few days later from Kevin the owner. Overall- GREAT job of craftsmanship, advice, expectations, and service. We are VERY happy, it adds a lot to the look of the house inside and out. 1st class group!

I received their contact information from Angies List and called for a quote. They arrived the very next day and were very nice and professional. He provided me with a quote right then and since this was a small job, I gave him a check for a deposit right then. He told me that someone from the office would be coming back in a day or two to do the final measurement. Well a full week goes by and I haven't heard from them so I called the company. They sent someone out the next day to do the measurement. The gentleman arrived on time and performed the measurement. He then explained it would be 4 to 6 weeks before the window would be in. Wow that seemed like a long time but what do I know. Anyway, the 6 weeks goes by and no word from the company so I called again. When I called they said the window was in and they scheduled me for the following tuesday at noon for the installation. Since he told me the installation was only going to take 1.5 hours, I took a long lunch and went home. Well, noon comes and goes and no installer. At 1pm I called the company and they informed me that it was going to be at least 2 more hours before the installer was going to be there so I rescheduled for two weeks later on a Saturday. On Saturday, the installers were right on time, were very professional and clean. However, after they finished the window they were getting ready to leave and I said "what about the capping and calking of the other window." He didn't have anything about that on his paperwork so I had to pull out the contract to show him. Once he saw that, he went ahead and did the work. They cleaned up the entire job site and the work was very professional. So to boil it down, I think this is a good company but they have a customer communication problem which I think is quite typical for the construction industry I'm finding out.

I had so much hope for using this company. A friend from work had used them twice for windows in two homes she's owned. She raved about the great customer service. Unfortunately we didn't have anything near that kind of experience. While we appreciated the attention Kevin McCann gave us during the initial consultation, the complete lack of proactive communication from McCann's production department was appalling. Once issues arose after initial delivery, no one called us to let us know what was going on with our order. And you'd think that for a $31000 order they'd make sure we were getting good customer service through good communication. These are the details of our story: On Sat 5/28 Kevin McCann came to our house and spent lots of time discussing our options for replacing the double-hungs with casements. We appreciated his advice, and placed our order with him. EIght weeks later, on Tue 7/26, we received a call from McCann that our windows were in. We weren't sure why it took two months for the windows to arrive, but we didn't question it. We were excited to get our beautiful new Pella windows! On Wed and Thu 8/3 and 8/4 the casement windows were installed. Unfortunately the basement windows weren't delivered, and the shade was missing from bathroom window. Of all windows for the shade to be missing from, it had to be the bathroom window! No one from McCann called us about the issue, so on Mon 8/9 I had to call to ask about basement windows and missing shade. I was told that two basement windows went missing from warehouse and they had to be re-ordered. I have no idea why they couldn't have installed the three windows that were in the warehouse. We had moved everything away from the basement windows so they could access them, and it was an inconvenience to have to wait longer. No one from McCann called us with a status update, so on Fri 8/26 I had to call to ask about status of basement windows and missing shade. I was told that new windows were in and there was an approximate 10-day wait for installation. On Fri 9/9 the installers showed up to install the windows, but THEY WERE THE WRONG SIZE!! Apparently the production department made an error in ordering. Also, the shade that was delivered was wrong orientation (left hand vs right hand). I took the day off from work for nothing. No one from McCann called us about the issue, so on Mon 9/12 I had to call again to ask about basement windows and missing shade. I was told that a rush order was being placed, and that the windows should be in on Wed 9/21. No one from McCann called us with a status update, so on Thu 9/22 I had to call to ask about basement windows and missing shade. I was told that windows were in the distribution center and that we could have a Saturday installation. They had another job in morning, but would be here in afternoon of 9/24. I wondered why we hadn't been offered a Saturday installation earlier in the month. I also asked the person I spoke with to leave a message for Kevin McCann to call me. On Sat 9/24 the installers showed up at 8:10 AM. They had been told on Friday afternoon that their morning job was cancelled and they should come to our house first thing in the morning. No one from McCann had told us of this change in plans. It was just luck that we hadn't yet been out running errands that morning (so we'd be back in time for the afternoon installation). After the installers left I emailed Kevin McCann to tell him about the incredible lack of communication from his production department. I sent him email at 8:44 AM. He replied to me at 3:31 that afternoon saying he would look into the matter and call me on Monday. He never called back. There were also a few other issues we had with this project: 1. Upon initial installation, it was noted that handle screws for two windows were missing, and the shade in one of the windows didn't fold correctly. We had to have a Pella repair technician visit us to address these issues. 2. After the installation of the missing shade I realized that it had been installed such that it operated in the direction opposite to the other shades and blinds. So I had to call McCann and have Dave come out to adjust it. I think Dave should have checked out the operation of the other shades before installing this last one. To me this showed lack of attention to details. The shade still doesn't operate to my satisfaction (it takes too much pressure to push the lever down), but I really don't feel like calling McCann again. 3. On about half of the installed casement windows, the handles didn't line up correctly to fold away easily. The Pella rep (not McCann rep) showed me how to adjust the handles. 4. In our living room and bedroom, we have windows that meet in the corner of each room. It's important for the windows on the west and south walls to be at exactly the same height so that the casing installed after the windows can be level. Unfortunately in both cases, the windows installed weren't at the same height - they were off by about 1/4 inch. This might not sound like a lot, but it's enough to make the casing around one window not meet the other. The contractor who is renovating our rooms had to fudge the casing. On Thu 11/10 I called McCann to ask about this issue, but - big surprise - no one ever called me back. The positive comments I have about our experience are: - The initial consultation with Kevin McCann was thorough and excellent. - The installers were professional; they explained what they were doing, and cleaned up after themselves. Our contractor noted that except for that 1/4 inch alignment issue, they did a great installation. - The Pella windows themselves are an excellent product. If we had to do this over again, we would contact Pella directly and use their consultants. We're planning on doing precisely that when we replace our doors next year.

The doors are gorgeous! The men that came out to do the work were very professional. The company should be very proud. The company is very easy to deal with and I plan on using the company again in September to replace a couple more windows. They even sent me a letter with a discount for additional work completed within the next year. UPDATE: I would still highly recommend him for his professionalism. I use them because of their fantastic services. They should be very proud of their men. They have come out to repair a window for me since they initially installed the windows. I plan to use them again very soon!

From estimation to the overall project, we feel like we made the right decision to use McCann. The installation of the windows included both cutting out the old windows, installation of new windows, trim on the inside, and detail paint around the windows including touch up. Getting the old windows out - would have been a challenge because they are very thin and attached directly to brick - without a wood frame surrounding. The team cut them out - with some challenges, but they managed to get all the old windows out. New windows were installed, and we did look pretty closely for any defects in the actual windows or trim around them, and they looked pretty clean. Painting was done well, and we didn't find any spots or drips on our floors.

They seemed nice and provided a reasonable quote. Within a few days I sent them a signed work order to replace the gutter downspout and informed them I was still waiting for the Association's approval to replace doors. Four phone calls, three emails and SEVEN WEEKS later I still have not had any work done, nor received communication from anyone over there besides the receptionist. She is incredibly nice and I honestly feel bad for her having to cover for the total lack of response shown by Todd. I finally called someone else who sent someone out THAT AFTERNOON to start repairs. What a joke...

Kevin responded promptly to our request for an estimate. Custom windows were manufactured in the time specified. When we were notified that the windows had arrived, installation was scheduled for the following business day. It took almost a full day to install all of the windows. The workers did a wonderful job with the installation and clean-up. The glass in one of the windows was cracked when it arrived. The window was installed with the others, and then replaced about a week later when a new window arrived from the manufacturer.

Responded promptly to my phone calls and provided extensive information regarding appropriate windows when salesman came to my home for an estimate. The work was done quickly and neatly. The new windows are beautiful,my basement is brighter and warmer.

Kevin McCann and all of the McCann team were great to work with and very professional. When Kevin came to our home to look at our needs and give us an estimate, he was very clear about the options and very knowledgeable. The team who came to do the work was professional, quiet and did a good job of cleaning up. We are very satisfied with the final result and would work with McCann Windows again in the future.

I ordered a door and I wasn't informed that it was the wrong one until they showed up to install it. The salesman for the company made empty promises saying they could work about the roofers schedule when in reality they were unable to. The men actually doing the installing didn't seem to be clued in to what really needed to be done.
