This was the first time I have ever had tile done. The work that he did was just horrible. When he first came out he brought the wrong tile and tried to get me to take it anyway. Fortunately I had kept a sample of the tile that I had ordered. I showed him the sample and demanded that he take it back and get what I ordered. I told me when he brought the correct tile back to keep one box so that he could put the bad tile under the washer, dryer, refrigerator, and stove because no one could see that so it would not bother me. He did not listen and he put the good tile underneath the washer, dryer, and stove before I realized what he had done. When I caught him he put the bad tile underneath the refrigerator, but he extended it so that the difference was obvious. He was very sneaky and he pulled the refrigerator out so that I could not tell when the job was finished until after he left. When I pushed the refrigerator back I could plainly see the difference in the tile. I had pulled up all of the carpeting myself, so I just left the linoleum in the kitchen and the two bathrooms. When he pulled the linoleum up there was a spilt in the concrete and I asked if he was going to fill that before the laid the tile so that it would not split. He did not fill the split and the tile cracked right where the split was. Fortunately it was a staggered pattern so it split right along the grout. He left my place a mess. He should have put up plastic, because when he left there was dust and grit all over everything. He left dirty fingerprints all over my white doors. He only listened to my instructions for part of the job. I wanted to have eighth inch grout for everything and he did quarter inch grout only in the bathroom. Then when the job was finished he stole two boxes of my tile. I was going to keep it, because things tend to go out of style and then you cannot find it and he told me that I had plenty of tile. Then when it came time to pay him he added two hundred dollars to the original total and when I asked him about it he gave me a list of excuses. So like an idiot I paid him the two hundred dollars. I will more than likely have to have most of the tile ripped up and re-done, because he did it all incorrectly. Then on top of that I was trying to get a hold of him and he would not answer. When I finally got a hold of him he told me that he had been out of town, which was completely un-businesslike.
