Cheapest quote I got, and I searched around. Yet I did receive good service, good communication, and solid installation of quality materials.

Overall, I'm very happy with the quality of the windows and the work performed.

I had some issues with the windows, and they came out several times to make sure they were good. I am satisfied with the windows now.

The workers were very professional. I did have one of the about to place the trim in a way that I felt was as attractive, I gave him my idea and he went with it and it looks fantastic. I just wish I had used them for all of the other windows in my home. The quality of the windows is excellent.

They were extremely knowledgeable. They knew exactly what to do. Home Depot came in 2x as much since they wanted to rip out the existing door and window frames. John mentioned that these were fine and so was able to provide a better price. The workers were great! They installed everything in a timely manner and cleaned up afterwards. Very happy.

Everything went great. John was prompt and courteous with the estimate and Jerry installed the windows neatly and efficiently.

We were very pleased with our experience with Scientific Home Services. We were looking to get all new windows in the house and the entire process from estimate to installation was great. Jon came out to give us an estimate and he was no nonsense. He gave us good advice on what would be smart choices for our needs and never pressured us to spend more than we needed to or to commit to anything before we were ready. We had one misunderstanding on what would be "code" in our area for our kids' bedroom windows and Jon took care of us to make sure would not violate code but still get a good quality window choice to suite our needs. Installation day was so fast and so painless. We had only one window that needs a little touch up paint and we had one piggy bank causalty which was really something we didn't even think about when our windows were cut out - no big deal. Everyone was friendly and courteous and absolutely professional. We would recommend this company to any of our friends and family.

We are satisfied with the windows. They promised me a darker window on the inside but they were out of stock. They started with one window and brought a window with the wrong curvature. It took them two months to get the correct windows. I held back the final payment until they were done. They came back and finished the job. They finished up ok. We had the old windows taken out and had some nice vinyl windows installed.

Excellent work overall. From the etimate to the finished product, the Scientific team was top notch. Our house was built in the 50's and the windows were original metal frames.It was alot of work to remove them. The clean-up was very good and the workmen were polite and efficient. Even when we had a slight issue with a door frame, the guys made sure it was perfect and we were satified before they asked for final payment. The windows and doors lookk great.

We recently purchased a townhouse and needed two glass replacements for thermal pane windows with grids to replace windows that had lost their seals. Not many window companies deal with this type of job,They all wanted me to buy complete brand new and expensive windows, Also, the replacements needed to match the surrounding windows because of association rules. I called, everyone I spoke to was professional and friendly. Victor came out in a few days, measured, quoted a very fair price with an Angieslist discount and told me he would call with an installation date. It took approximately 2 weeks, he called, came out a few days later, installed the replacement glass in both windows and it took approxiamtely an hour with no mess. They look great and match perfectly!

Firstly, they did not try to convince us to replace the original windows. We like the way they look and did not think the greater expense was warranted. They respected our view without a word otherwise. The new storm windows are great and the work was done in a professional manner. They even decided to reorder one storm window when it was discovered that another contractor had made the window difficult to access when rebuilding our porch. They could have cut into the moulding and made the window fit just to finish the job, but took the route of ordering a smaller window instead. Overall, Jon is a good guy and great to work with.

Called Scientific Home Services and made an evening appointment for a salesperson to come to my house so I would not miss any work. The salesperson that came out was one of the owners of the company, John Koloms. John was on time, he was very knowlegable, not pushy, very profesional. He answered all my questions in detail. I was told it would take a few weeks for the windows to be built and I ordered them. When they came in John called me and arranged an installation appointment. The installer came on time, the installation is perfect, the color match of the aluminum molding is perfect, and last but not least the window quality is superb. In the Spring I will be replacing my living room windows and will look no further than Scientific Home Services. I recommend Scientific Home Services very highly.

We had a very good experience with Scientific Home Services, from beginning to end. Our salesperson was informative and helpful and he had good suggestions. The sales process was without pressure - no unnecessary upselling. The whole process seemed to proceed timely and according to estimated timeframes. Salesperson and installers showed up when they said they would. We weren't home during the installation and left the installers with access to the house, which worked out great. The installers took the time to explain the installation process to our parents who showed up during the day to check things out (father-in-law, a retired electrician said work looked very good and thorough). Workers cleaned up nicely when they left. Work was completed within a day. There was a minor miscommunication about screens. I mentioned it to Scientific, and they followed up promptly. As others have said, there may be less expensive contractors, but it's worthwhile to have this work done right and by a trustworthy and reputable company. I would (and already have) recommend Scientific to others.

We initially contacted this company to have them come out to provide us with an estimate for repairing or replacing the windows in a 100+ year old home that we were in the process of purchasing. They were punctual for all appointments and very helpful in answering all of our questions. We eventually purchased the home and had them back out to come up with a plan for replacing the windows to both break up the expense and enable us to take advantage of the tax benefits (for installing energy efficient windows) over the course of two years (2011 and 2012). The gentleman who came to install the first set of windows did a great job and cleaned up afterwards perfectly. He also hauled away the old windows for us. Overall, this was a great experience and I highly recommend this company.

I had a great experience with Scientific Home Services. Jon came out to do the quote and helped explain the different window options and what the installation would entail. The price quote was competitive with the other 3 price quotes I received. I decided to go with Scientific based of the great reviews for the company and that they were using Soft-Lite windows. I placed a downpayment of $600 and the window order was placed. The installers came out to the condo on time and quickly got to work. They answered all my questions I had regarding the installation and did a great job cleaning up after the windows were installed. The windows look great and have kept the place warmer this winter.

Extremely well. Victor gave us a great estimate - much less than all others. He showed and a helper replaced the window which required a ladder due to being at the top corner of the house. the work went very smoothly and Victor was very professional.

Working with Scientific was easy from day 1. The quoting/sales process was hassle free and everything was explained to me right up front. The work was done on time and looks great. I would definitely hire them again for any window work I may have in the future.

We have used Scientific before on storms that were custom made. We called Jon when we needed replacement windows for our basement. Jon is very personable, there is no BS and the quality of the product is great. The installer Roberto was punctual, efficient and cleaned up nicely after his job. He even helped me with a cable wire that was going through the old windows.

Jon from Scientific came out and checked/measured all the windows. I left a list of questions because my son was going to be home at the time of the appointment while I was at work. I wanted to know about casements so I could put furniture in front and not have a hard time opening/closing. He pointed out that, since they would face the street, they really wouldn?t go with the architecture of the house but he would give me an estimate anyway. He also said that, since the originals had the small panes, the replacements could be ordered with a grid sealed in between the glass panes (which was also on my list). I?ve seen some of those grids that look like tape in the windows...these were contoured. I had wondered about putting a garden window over the sink in the kitchen. He explained to my son that, with our particular local weather patterns (temp swings, humidity swings, wind, etc.) garden windows failed just about 100% of the time but, once again, he'd do a price estimate so I could decide. He explained their Lifetime Warranty. It had been really hard for me to open the window over the sink?stand on my toes, reach clear over, try for leverage and hope for the best. He volunteered that, for this particular window, a casement would probably be a good choice. He explained the steps involved, the time it would take, etc. and left an estimate (with choices/options and prices for each). One of the owners from the other company I?d requested an estimate from set up an appointment for the evening because he wanted me to be present. He spent over an hour selling. Even selling things I was already sold on and pointing out, from a brochure and a model window all the benefits and putting down the competition. He showed me some figures on paper but didn?t leave them behind, instead promising a proposal the following week. Almost a week later, I got a proposal from the other company which was very similar to the one I got from Jon, but I?d already decided I wanted to go with Scientific. Really liked Jon?s attitude, the fact that he went around the whole house and listened to suggestions, offered some of his own and answered all my questions. Without any hassle or pressure. When the windows came in, he called, we worked out an appointment time and what I had to do in the way of prep (basically, take down blinds/curtains and move furniture out of the way. Once again, I was at work on the day (yes, it took one day) of the installation. When I got home there was a faint odor - not unpleasant, but different - thought maybe some kind of sealant. No. My son told me that the installer polished the hardwood floors before he left! Not only was the whole house dust and debris free, all the floors were completely cleaned and polished. Cleaned up outside, too. Amazing. The windows are gorgeous. A few days later, I noticed a draft in one of the windows and couldn?t get it to lock. It was a Saturday morning. Called Jon. He said he?d get someone over to see what was wrong. Monday morning we got a call from an installer made an appointment for later in the week. Nothing wrong with the window?I just didn?t do the second step to seal the double lock and was pushing the wrong way. He demonstrated. Window perfect. I can?t say enough about Scientific from estimate, presentation, installation, cleanup(!) follow-through and general attitude. I recommend them without hesitation to anyone.

Overall the service was excellent and I was extremely pleased that they didn't try and sell me replacement windows that I didn't need. The cost of fixing my windows was a fraction of what they would've been and I was pleasantly surprised that I could get the work done the same day Victor came out. I would use Scientific again, no question. I had an excellent experience!

The appointment time was set for 2:30 p.m.and met with promptness. After doing a short exterior review of the building, John advised me that unfortunately, although I'd called regarding a residential job; being a high-rise location Scientific would NOT be able to service me. He did however, agree to come up to the unit to further investigate my problem, and advise me of what direction I should take. Scientific/John was the most professional of the three companies I contacted. His company's response time was FABULOUS, his professional opinion was indeed most helpful, and he even took the time to carefully explain my problem as well as offering to do a follow-up call (with him or another member of his team) to me in about a week to ensure I'd been able to come to a resolution. It was a pure pleasure.

Great service. After there were some minor problems with the initial windows, Jon went out of his way to remedy this and put two additional windows in to make up for the inconvenience. Really stellar professionalism.

Start to finish we were amazed! Jon came to the initial appointment very knowledgable on the product and what we'd need for our home. He was very honest w/ us in terms of the quality of window and whether or not double or triple paned made sense. (He said that for the money, it wasn't worth going triple for our particular home.) His was our third estimate so I was asking him a variety of questions to compare/contrast the initial two estimates - one of which was $2,000 less. Jon pointed out the the quality of window is the difference. We have an addition on the back of our home w/ newer windows and he was able to show us the difference between those vs. what he'd install. (It was obviously a higher quality product!) Further, we requested as part of the estimate, he include the cost of replacing a back door and storm door. Jon measured it and said, "To be honest, this is a very standard door, you could to go Lowes, or somewhere like that and save quite a bit. We could do it for you but I'd recommend going elsewhere." He gave me the dimensions of the door and we did as he suggested saving about $500 off of the estimate from one of the other providers who came to our home. He could have made that money but chose not to and ultimately that is what lead to our decision to choose his company. On the day of the install the crew came out and worked like mad to remove and install all 16 windows that day. My husband joked that it was like an Indy pit crew working on our house. They truly divided and conquered and we couldn't believe the speed at which the work was done, but also the cleanliness of their work and the quality of the install. They kept the inside of our house very clean of debris and the outside looked as if they had never been there at all. (We did have a couple of inevitable hosta casualties as well as some small debris that blew off the roof but all things considered you wouldn't have even noticed if you weren't the actual homeowner.) The guys who came out were professional, friendly and some of the hardest working men we've ever seen. In terms of the three estimates we received, Scientific and one other were w/in $75 of eachother and then the one estimate that was $2k less was really a lower quality window. (Something you might put into a rental for example.) We couldn't have been more happy w/ the work and the quality of the window they installed.
