I've been using Major Cleaning Professionals for 7 months now and I am about to move and will miss our cleaning person, Angela! The owner, Barbara - came to the house within a few days of my contacting her. She did an inspection and then provided a quote. Then, on the first day of the cleaning she came with her assigned person, Angela, to make sure she understood what my expectations were. The same person comes every other week. Angela is punctual, thorough and professional. Barbara followed up with a phone call after the first cleaning to make sure my expectations were met.

They were friendly and did a thorough job. They were professional, responsive and punctual. The quality of the work was good and the price was reasonable.

We've been working with Barbara for about 9 months. She calls every month to schedule our cleaning session. Yola, the woman who comes to clean, does a wonderful job. She is cheerful and thorough. We are pleased. (We also give a tip.)

They come over every two weeks and they are punctual. They clean well and I appreciate that, but they are very expensive. The others I used before weren't cleaning anything. I pay them every time they come over.

Barbara was prompt and professional. So many members have good things to say about this company, so I was surprised that the young woman cleaning our home failed to dust under the bed (simply hardwood floor, no area rug) or behind doors, dust the baseboards and balusters (requested specifically), wipe behind the faucets, or clean under or behind anything. Our home is less than 1400 square feet and not at all cluttered (we're minimalists). For more than $20 an hour, I expected better. Since, we've found a wonderful cleaning person who has been working with us for several months ... prompt, professional, cheerful and wonderfully thorough.

A separate service came to the home and made an initial cleaning estimate of $250 as well, so the initial cleaning estimate provided by Barbara was exactly competitive with the first service. I chose Barbara's service because of the flexibility of scheduling - both on the initial cleaning and on subsequent cleaning days.

Barbara, the owner, came and gave us an estimate the day after I called. She gave me an estimate for $100.00 to clean our 2 BR, 2 BA condo, but said it would be less if we used them again. I thought this was fair, since we had 2+ years worth of dirt building up, and needed a thorough cleaning before putting the place on the market. I asked about windows also, but she said it would be an extra $50.00, and that they wouldn't do the outsides(these windows flip in), so we opted to do that ourselves. The woman she sent(also Barbara)came on time with the owner to go over what needed to be done. She did a great job, and has inspired us to try to keep it looking as sparkling!

I couldn't be more satisfied. As many have said, Barbara, the owner, is professional and personable. It's very easy to communicate with her or with the woman who comes weekly to clean. For a company(I never used a cleaning company before)it's great to have the same person cleaning every week. They have a great way of working with the customer, the service is very individual and tailored to personal needs. They make my life easier, and that's exactly what a service like this should do. I cannot recommend this company enough.

I called Barbara for a 1 time cleaning. She set up an appointment for that same day to view my house and give an estimate. She quoted me $100 for a 3 bedroom 2.5 bath home. She was also able to fit me in that week which was important to me. She arrived with the cleaning woman a few minutes early and walked through the house with her and me so that she could interpret and make sure we all had the same expectations. I think this was very professional and the cleaning was great. I may use them in the future if I decide on a regular service.

Barbara, the owner, came to give me an estimate on the work to be done. My house was disgustingly dirty, in my opinion, so I offered to pay more for the first visit. Barbara told me that my price would be set. Barbara, the cleaner, then came a week and a half later and spent almost 6 hours cleaning. She even cleaned the shelves in the fridge. Subsequent visits took much less time. She is always punctual and I love coming home to house afterwards. I think she does a wonderful job. Changes to the schedule due to the holiday were handled far in advance and without a problem. I am very pleased with this company and would recommend them.

She was very professional and was able to answer all of my questions. She provided a detailed list of cleaning products she recommended, and scheduled an appointment for the same week. I hired Major Cleaning Professionals to clean my parents condo as a surprise 40th wedding anniversary gift. Barb (the owner) met me at my parents place to go over the work her company would do ahead of time. I was impressed with her punctuality, thoroughness, and professionalism. My mom, who is a ridiculous clean freak and perfectionist, was hesitant to try the gift at first. Oh my gosh, she loved it! Major Cleaning more than exceeded my mom's very high expectations and she is definitely hiring them again. They even cleaned the insides of the garbage cans. I only wish Major Cleaning worked in my area, too!

Completely excellent. Over the years, there have been occasional glitches because of my last minute timing changes, and Barbara has always been as flexible as possible in every case. I highly recommend these folks!

I have been using this service for about a year. I have waited to submit a report because I am ambivalent. I was assigned a particular person to clean my house when I first engaged this business. I have since made complaints about this person's thoroughness, attitude and abilities on at least four occasions. The owner of the business, Barbara, is very professional and responds quickly to calls and concerns; however, while things with the person assigned to me might change for a few weeks after I make a complaint, they always go back to the standard after a while. My last complaint was made three weeks ago. I finally asked Barbara to reassign someone else to me and I requested a person who had substituted for my regular cleaner when she was on vacation and whom I had really liked. Barbara said she would talk to my regular cleaner after she came back from her own vacation in two weeks and asked me to put up with her for a few weeks. She also told me this woman's personal story was very difficult and begged me to reconsider. First, I have not heard anything from Barbara since this phone call. Second, while I am a compassionate human being, I don't think it is appropriate to ask me to maintain the relationship with someone I am not happy with simply because of her difficulties. This is putting the onus on me and rather manipulative. Third, since I have indicated someone I feel I might be happy with, it seems rather odd that the change would not be made. As I say, I am ambivalent, because Barbara is always responsive and professional and the person assigned to me tries hard and is generally sweet, but I feel regularly aggravated by certain attitudes and lack of thoroughness (and inability or unwillingness to learn my preferences after such a long time).

Great. Much better and more reliable than the other 2 house cleaning services we've used in Chicago. We get the same cleaning lady every time, which is great.

I contacted MCP by e-mail, and I got a response within a couple of hours. Ms. Wasidlow was able to meet with me at a convenient time. She inspected the house, told me what they could do, and told me what kind of cleaning supplies she recommended. The evening before her house cleaner was to do the work, Ms. Wasidlow brought her over to the house to introduce us, give a tour of the house, and to convey any special instructions. Trusting Ms. Wasidlow completely, we gave the cleaner a key. The next day, I returned to a clean house with clean sheets on the beds. She is going to return next week to do it again. I am going to love this arrangement!

I spoke with Barbara on the phone, and she wanted to set up a meeting to come out and see the area to be cleaned. She arrived promptly at the scheduled time, and was very professional in her demeanor. We walked up and down the hallways and throughout the building, and then she gave me quote on the spot for what her firm would charge. In the end we did not end up using her company because her quoted cost was $25 higher than our next highest quote. If I had to change from our current company I would certainly use Major Cleaning Professionals. Judging from Barbara's thoroughness, professionalism, and attention to detail I would imagine they do a good job of cleaning. In addition, I liked the fact that she communicates with her clients via e-mail. She e-mails invoices to you, and also said that she would e-mail you if you were running out of cleaning supplies. If money wasn't an object she would have been my first choice in choosing a cleaning company.

The cleaning was unsatisfactory. Dust balls were left in the dining room and the base boards throughout the condo were not dusted. The kitchen counters had a grit left on them which should not have happened had the granite cleaning solution been used as requested. The housekeeper knocked over a fire place screen causing it to be damaged with a dent and a 3 to 4 inch deep scratch on it (and never told me about it). Further, a scratch was found near the bottom of my desk (never told about it). Additionally, marks were found on the walls that appear to have resulted from being hit by a mop.

The lady from Major Cleaning was very prompt in getting back to me after my first message. We set up an initial appointment, and was willing to move it when I need to reschedule. She came during the afternoon when I was at work, and they worked all afternoon to make my condo spic and span. They even folded my clothes, which surprised me! :) All in all, a wonderful job.

My calls were promptly returned and the initial visit for a quote went well. She pointed out areas where there regular service exceeded what I had in mind, areas where my expectations were too low. Angela does the cleaning and she is great! Always prompt and thorough. The place is very clean and organized. She has finished jobs I was in the middle of (clothes in the dryer) and organizes my fridge as well. When the day needed to be changed, I received a call a week in advance to make sure it was alright. Great service, very clean, and responsible.
