Bill Hoskins came out to give an estimate on the work I wanted completed, and since he was the last one to give me an estimate, I chose to hire him before he left. His estimate was in the same range as the 2 previous contractors estimated, however, he asked more questions about the products I was using, and about my preferences, and seemed like he had a lot of experience to draw upon. Also, he was the only one willing to move the furniture, and while he did charge for the moving of the furniture, it was a resonable charge. The other companies either would not move the furniture, or charged an exorbinate amount to do so. He only required that I remove breakables from the areas he was working, and took great care when moving my furniture, I do have some heavy pieces that required moving. He also provided the waterproof underlay for the flooring and some finished moulding. The first day he arrived on time, and got to work immediately, at the end of the first day all the carpeting had been removed and the majority of the lower level of my home had the basic flooring in place. Due to an error on my part, there was not enough materials available to complete the job in the three days he had estimated, but he was very flexible and once the materials had been received and an agreeded upon date had been made, he return to complete the job. The flooring looks great! I am very happy with the work he did. The only thing I would have changed would be the amount of sawdust that was everywhere during and after installation. He did try to lessen the amount after I mentioned it by using a vaccuum saw, and vacuumming the areas before he left for the day. Overall, I feel he did an excellent job, so much so, that my friend asked him to come an give him an estimate for some simular work in his home.

It went very well. The contractor was always on time. He did an excellent job.
