I submitted an email, a few days later I received a response, then took and sent over pictures, via text messaging, of the tub. A few days later I got an email response then another with a different price quote.

Overall, the estimation process was good. I did have a price in mind, but he told me he thought it was too low. We weren't looking for the cheapest, but we want to have this properly done. His quote was right in the ball park. He broke his leg, so he's currently out of commission. We don't need the work done immediately, but it's starting to get worse. He said the doctor thought he'd be ready by the end of September, so this is where we're at currently. I did contact him today to check on his progress.

Great Lakes did an amazing job. Tub looks brand new. Matt explained everything about the process, and also answered all my questions. They came in on time, did their thing, and cleaned up after. All in all was a great experience and if I ever need my tub refinished again I know who to call. Thanks Matt!!

They were very accommodating to my schedule. They came when they said they would be here. The finished product looks great. They cleaned up after the job was done. Very pleased with the work and the promptness and courtesy of the owner.

They were very good. It turned out beautiful and is still holding up well. There was a lot of labor involved, including prep work and clean up. He was very neat and a nice man to have in the house.

i was in panic as i had called another co. the week before to come out on Wednesday, the 15th, as the building was going to be listed for sale and had to be ready to show on Thursday the 16th! the "other guy" had tried to convince me on the phone to use "relining" as opposed to refinishing! and he was persistent! i was not happy with the sales push and he relented, agreeing to come out on the 15th to refinish the tub. on the 13th he sent me AN E-MAIL STATING HIS WORKER COULDN'T MAKE IT! i had taken the 15th off from work to be here and to say that i was ticked off would be an understatement. I called GREAT LAKES, SPOKE WITH MR. BROWN on the 13th and he came out on such short notice on the 15th, and did an AMAZING JOB! the realtor who "walked through " with prospective buyers 2 days later asked for his name and phone as did my painters for their clients! THANK YOU MATTHEW BROWN!

It went well and it was a big job and they were in and out in a day.

Overall the job went very well. They were timely, professional and they did a good job. They cleaned up after themselves.

They did an excellent job on the tub. The work on cleaning the grout and tile wasn't as good as the tub. The price seemed fair. We had called a few places. I would recommend them.

They came out right away and there wasn?t a problem with the estimate. I haven?t gotten any other quotes yet so I can?t compare their price. I'm considering using them.

Great! The guys who did the job had a job before ours and called us when they were on their way to our house. They helped remove anything from the bathroom that was in the way. They prepared everything with great care. They explained everything that was happening and going to happen. The tub was refinished and looks brand new. They installed new drain ring and other hardware. They came back the next day to do the caulking around the tub and install the hardware. The guys were as nice as could be and mad us feel comfortable as they worked. Used exhaust fan to help dissipate any odors. They are real pro's and neat and clean. I would recommend them to anyone who could benefit from their services.

He arrived on time went right to work. He was very professional and did an outstanding job. I and my wife are very happy with the end result. I would recommend him to anyone that would ask.

Matt, the owner, was very professional and flexible about working with our schedule. Tim arrived on time and did a thorough job. He explained the options to us and we chose to add the nonslip coating on the floor of the tub and have the chips repaired at an additional cost. The total job took only about 3 hours. Tim explained how long it would take for the new coating to dry. The odor is extremely intense but it did dissipate gradually over a few hours, so there was very little odor by the next morning. He also gave us a list of cleaning agents that are safe to use on the new finish. Our old bathtub looks great.

The service was ok. We ran into a few problems. The time elements were hard. It took them longer than it should have. As far as the finish is, I'm very happy with it, the tub looks good. Price wise, it was reasonable.

They did a really excellent job. They seemed a little disorganized on their schedule. The end result was very good. The quality of their work was good. They did the work in a timely fashion as well. They worked on a usually nonworkable day to finish the job.

Process took longer than expected, but tub turned out great and looks good in my bathroom.

Matt was going to refinish the shower base in the master's bedroom of my rental condo. I asked him if he's available to paint too as nobody is available at short notice. He accommodated me and worked on weekend so my condo will be available for showing to future tenants. He recommended what paint to buy and the condo looked so nice!!!

Matt recommended just grouting the tiles and promised he'll clean it thoroughly to make them look good. The shower base was awesome! I have been looking for someone to refinish the shower base and he did it wonderfully and was not expensive. Try him!!!

I have an old Kohler tub in pretty good shape with a very rusty drain. Matt recommended we replace the drain when we re-glaze the tub white. After making inquiries, he suggested that the drain would be too expensive to remove. Instead, he suggested we apply same white tub glaze to the drain. To my surprise, when Peter prepared the drain for glazing by sanding it, a very beautiful brass appeared. Rust gone! I was uncertain as to whether or not to leave the beautiful brass showing instead of glazing over it in white. I asked Peter his opinion, but he was a bit gruff and told me that he was not there to offer his opinion. So I continued to try to pry out of him how he thought it would look if we left the drain in this restored form. It appeared that the inside of the drain was a bit rusty and I was not sure if that would show. In the end we covered the drain in white glaze as Peter eventually said to do it.

Fabulous, the whole experience was great. Very little mess, I was informed throughout and the end product was more than I expected. It cost a little more but well worth it. Please use them as I was scheduled by another company who never showed up after I called the day prior and 4 times the day of, to have them tell me at 3pm that they never put me on the schedule. Great Lakes saved me from falling behind on my bathroom project. What a refreshing concept, customer satisfaction completely, that they delivered!

The tub looks great. The man was extremely nice and knew his trade well. He was extremely flexible in scheduling. I was very pleased with the overall project in timeliness and quality of work.

Matt from Great Lakes came out to look at our claw-foot tub, which someone had sandblasted both the inside and outside and it was in poor shape. When I told other tub refinishers that the inside was sandblasted, they wouldn't have anything to do with it. Matt came out to look at our tub anyways, to suggest options for us. He was honest in telling us that he could refinish it, but the cost and time to do it would be almost as high as purchasing a new tub. He offered one of his already refinished tubs to us, and at a great price. We drove out to his house to pick it up, and he helped us load it into our car. We called him a few days later with questions on what plumbing to put with the tub, and he was very helpful and concerned. Our new tub is beautiful and Matt was very pleasant and helpful to work with.

I needed this done in a hurry and they got it done. Their tech was on time, courteous and competent. The bathroom room was completely masked off and the tub was painted in a few hours. When the tape and plastic were removed, the tub looked great!
