LAURENS RESTORATION

The two men that handled our claim no longer work for Laurens. I was really disappointed in the lack of communication from the estimator/project manager and his attitude of "that's just the way it's done" when comparing line items to real-world values. As this was an insurance claim, I was closely monitoring the work performed vs. what was being billed. There were discrepancies in their favor, and I needed to go line-by-line to ensure that monies paid out were being put towards services rendered. In the end, I made their jobs difficult, but I felt the work performed was satisfactory, but not outstanding. The other half of their services required packing out, storage, and return of our furniture and items. The pack-out and storage crew was 5 stars.

Very well done! Mold is not something to mess with and thanks to Laurens we are in good shape.

Gary Jones from the company was our project manager. He was great. He has a good team.
The work involved mold remediation in a room addition room that has a crawl space only
18 inches deep;  so they had to rip up the floor in order for them to work and for a water-proofing company
to do their work. All the workers were customer friendly and polite. They sealed off the room with
zipper doors to lessen the amount of smell and dust in the rest of the house.
Gary had good ideas to solve other problems that we had in the laundry area of that room.
He had good contacts for laying tile, carpeting and painting after they replaced the floor.
He did not try to sell us mold remediation in our attic right away. He was honest and said that we could
wait until we have roofing work done in the future to take care of an area of mold in our attic.
The only negative was that the other team involved in moving the furniture into our garage
also moved the clothes washer there. Gary noticed that and moved it into our family room so the
pipes wouldn't freeze.

They were great. They came out right away. They were clean and responsive. So, I would recommend them.

I had a great customer service experience and also quality of work is really good.
The owner is extremely responsive and even responded to my message from vacation in Mexico.
I only thought that the job was over priced, the bill was twice as much as i was expecting ti pay. But other than that the job was done with complete care and I am very happy to have hired them.

We absolutely couldn't have gotten through this nightmare without Lauren's Restoration, and we thank our lucky stars that State Farm introduced them to us. I had the opportunity to visit their huge, incredible plant in Glenview, which is a state of the art cleaning, smoke ionization, and storage facility. This is a class act business!

They were very knowledgeable and thorough in the inspection and did exactly what I needed.

They were very good.  We had no issues with them. 

They did a very poor job.  The ceiling was done well.  The walls were ok after I made several suggestions.  They started with the wrong paint.  They never evened out the floor before they started, so it was not smooth at all.  Their suggestion was to pull up part of the floor and glue it down.  So now there are huge gaps in the floor during the winter time when it is cold, and it retracts. 

They were recommended to us. My experience with them was not good. They were unprofessional at times. They damaged some of our things while moving them that were perfectly fine before. We re now having problems trying to get reimbursed for these damages. They also charge very high for storing the items while they restore them, about $800 a month.

Their response time was very good, but the communication between their employees needs to be much better. They were suppose to completely clean-up but they didn't do a thorough job on the floor. They did mop but there is still dust sediment on the floor from the drywall.

I was very happy with their work. I would recommend them to others.
