HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE. The worst customer service on the planet. Fabian, the owner, actually told me that "we need to get it together" as far as communication went between my husband and myself, since we both had called him separately about the status of the repairs. Fabian was horrible at communicating when and how the repairs were going along. It took three weeks to get the computer returned. He claimed he was doing us a favor by finding parts that were compatible with what we already had...big deal. He needed to have phoned us and kept us informed of the status of his work. Then we FINALLY got the hard drive back and discovered ALL OF OUR FILES WERE MISSING. He "thought" they had been saved remotely on their premises and were reloaded but they were not. Now he is searching for the files among thousands of others that were "compressed" when the repairs began. It's now over a month of this madness and he has stopped calling altogether. The last call I made was two weeks ago when he said, "well, sometimes the files get lost." Very poor service and we remain very angry and upset about this situation. NO ONE SHOULD EVER USE THESE GUYS.
Description of Work: Our hard drive stopped working. We took it to CCC for services. They managed to fix what was wrong but lost all our files in the meantime.

Response from Chicago Computer Center
First the member is not my customer, her husband was the contact every single time. As the report date: December 01, 2009 under description of work said: "HER hard drive stopped working", every computer technician knows that in that case the chances to get files are poor, We at CCC are not responsible for customer DATA like every computer repair shop policy that he received a copy (work order form). He knew from the beginning that this process will take more than two weeks, I used 8 different software and spent three weeks to recover the file with no success. Final Western Digital Hard Drive Software determined that hard drive was 85% damaged Hard Drive WD 7200 60GB SN/368473901, the 143.33 was for the new hard drive and to reinstall Windows. I have a response from Western Digital and Microsoft Windows to reactivate this customer Windows copy when I did the job. THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS COMPLAINT.
