I previously hired Terry and Jody to remodel a full bath and a half-bath. They did a great job for me then, that I felt comfortable hiring them again. The work in the kitchen included replacement of all cabinetry, appliances, flooring, counter tops, and the installation of undermount lighting and cam lighting in the ceiling. Bamboo flooring was installed in the kitchen and throughout the house, minus the bathrooms. Terry and Jody were patient throughout the process and made sure that all the pieces and choices came together to a harmonious end. They were very concerned that everything worked and that I was a happy customer. During the remodel, the new and old refrigerators were in the kitchen so I could transfer the contents over the weekend. Thinking nothing of it, I unplugged the old refrigerator. I didn't know that ice had built up inside the freezer door. I woke up on a Sunday morning to water on the new wood flooring. Terry came out to help take the doors off the refrigerator and move the unit to the garage. No complaints, and no extra billing. Very kind. Also during the remodel, there was some problems with the bamboo flooring separating. Terry and Jody made sure the subcontractor addressed the areas that separated. Terry and Jody made assurances that should there be future issues with the flooring, they would stand behind all the work, not just the flooring. I also received the same assurance from the subcontractor. I trust Terry and Jody to do their best on any projects they take on. And I feel comfortable to recommend them to my friends and family. If I need their help in the future, I know I can count on them.
Description of Work: Complete remodel of kitchen, installation of wood flooring throughout house, and painting of all walls and ceilings thought house.

This winter was harsh on our sunroom. It's not much more than four uninsulated walls over a patio slab, and was not built well. The heavy snow and ice was bad enough, but when it finally started to melt we had a leak in the roof from ice damming and water coming in under the walls from downspouts that were buried under three feet of ice and snow. At one point we had at least an inch of standing water on one side of the room and constant dripping on the other. Terry and Jody came out and, with my permission, ripped into the ceiling and part of a wall to check for damage. We saw none, and they advised that since we're planning to tear it down next year as part of a very large renovation that we not throw money at it and just do nothing at this time. Both Terry and Jody were extremely helpful and knowledgable. They came out here and spent time poking around, easing my mind. Next year when we start on the large renovation CCCM will be one of the first I call for bids.
Description of Work: Terry and Jody came and evaluated the leaks in our sunroom caused by ice damming and ineffective (and snow-buried) downspouts.

On the phone, he informed me that I could not afford them. I was trying to get as many estimates as I could to send in to my insurance company. He said he was "grade A" and did not want to waste his time coming to see the job. Response to the service provider's comment: 1/12/2015 This company completely lied in their response. He claimed I had money issues and this really frustrated me. He says that I said I was broke and offered him $10 an hour. I used to do this type of work and know that this is not a reasonable price and would not have offered that. I had enough money to fix the problem and then some. The entire house was remodeled so I am unsure of why he claims I am broke. I am sorry you lost my business.
Description of Work: I called them to come and give me an estimate.

Response from CCCM Inc
This individual called in a panic, saying he was scammed by a contractor, who took his money, and left his tile walls and floor coming apart, his basement was flooded with sewer water and ruined everything. He said he had a retired handyman trying to do some repairs but the gentleman was too slow. He said he had no money and the insurance company would not provide adequate funds to perform the work. He asked if we could perform the work the handyman performed for the same $10.00 rate. I I told him it was unreasonable to think a qualified contractor could come in and perform the work for $10.00 per hr.

In today's customer service oriented society, timely, friendly, proactive service is sought to enhance future business growth. Customer loyalty is always impacted when you employ the right service professional to represent you when assisting your valued customers. However, with the event of this past week, Terry and Jody DeBartolo of CCCM have more than gone beyond the call of duty. I experienced problems with my sump pump and extensive freezing of my discharge line on Sunday night which might have caused extensive damage and possibly a dangerous situation. I found my sump pump continually running and smoking. I pulled the plug and I called Terry the next morning at 7:00 am. He and Jody were at my door by 7:20 am. They both diagnosed the problem promptly and solved the problem my noon. It is with great confidence that I put forward this recommendation of Terry and Jody DeBartolo of CCCM, not only for the entirely huge favor they did for me, but, for their previous work completed on both of our bathrooms. From start to finish, our remodeling of our bathrooms was actually enjoyable since they worked with us every step of the way. Value, customer service and top quality best describe CCCM. My wife and I plan to use them a again for our kitchen remodel. Thank again Terry and Jody for being a dedicated professional!!

Our finished kitchen is gorgeous, practical, and most enjoyable to use - just what I wanted. Terry and the CCCM crew worked extensively with me to visualize and choose from all the options, and their attention throughout the construction process was outstanding. The remodeling crew was wonderful to have here in my home - perfectly punctual, courteous, professional, extremely skilled and knowledgeable, and thoroughly accomodating to the needs and schedule of our household. Plus, their clean-up at the end of each and every day was exceptional; we could use the kitchen just about each evening. We had a few delays on both Terry's side (owner) and mine before the project started, which also served to make me realize how busy and popular Terry is with this long-term business and experienced employees (and sons). I was thrilled to be able to work with a contractor in my own town and to come to agreement with his great reviews and reputation. Terry and Jody also worked very closely with the cabinet and countertop supplier, Spaces (Arlington Heights), which was also a terrific experience all the way around. See Mike Poss and his accomodating, exceedingly patient staff at Spaces if you're looking for an amazing variety of kitchen ideas and options. Finally, it's often the finishing detail work that makes or breaks a project - and the details are all perfect in our new kitchen. CCCM gets my endorsement - and thanks.
Description of Work: Complete kitchen tear-out and remodel except for existing appliances and hardwood floor. New ceiling-height cabinets in place of old cabinets and soffits. New quartz countertops, tile backsplash, electrical, some plumbing and fixtures, new refrigerator, new pantry configuration and cupboards, adjacent painting.

Terry, Jody, Kevin and Jim made this remodel a wonderful experience. I appreciated everything they did from the first phone call to the final sweeping. I called a number of contractors to get quotes. I left a message for Terry and he returned the call and left me a message. I had already arranged some appointments with other contractors and didn't initially return Terry's call. He called again and left another message. I'm happy he did. Terry and Jody came the following Saturday morning, arrived right on time and gave me a quote immediately. I liked their approach and agreed on the spot. Terry kept me up to date on when he thought they'd be able to start the work. He also asked about my schedule since the work occurred around the holidays. Terry said they started at 7:00 am. Kevin and Jim take that seriously. They were never late, and sometimes even early! During deconstruction they found a few issues and contacted me right away. Terry and crew provided recommendations and went forward with the work. Jody came every day to ensure things were going smoothly. Kevin and Jim were great about checking with me on where I wanted things placed and how I wanted the tiles arranged. When I was having difficulty envisioning Jim's recommendation for the tile accents, he drew it out on the walls so that I could get a better idea of how it would look. I was impressed with their knowledge, expertise, integrity and quality of work. My bathroom turned out beautiful. Kevin and Jim were both polite, respectful and congenial. I felt totally comfortable with them in my house. And I appreciated the few extra things Kevin and Jim did like replacing a burned out light bulb, oiling a squeaky hinge and doing a bit of snow shoveling. Now for the best part - The bathroom was finished on a Friday and that weekend the arctic vortex hit the area. My house is old and the hot water pipes froze the following Tuesday. I did my best to try to thaw them but they stayed frozen. Terry called on Thursday to follow up and I mentioned the frozen pipes. He immediately said he would have someone come the next morning at 7:00 to take a look. What a surprise! He called back about a half hour later, saying that Jody had an idea on what I could try to thaw the pipes. I took Jody's suggestion and my pipes were thawed in about 3 hours. The next morning I let Terry know Jody's suggestion led to success and he had Kevin come anyway. Kevin put in some extra insulation. This unexpected extra service was not part of the contract and Terry didn't even charge me. I was thoroughly impressed. These guys really took care of me. I would definitely have them back again.

They were amazing from start to finish. We won't ever work with anyone else. Three things put them above and beyond any other contractor we've worked with - 1) their integrity: They went beyond professionalism; they showed in everything they did that they truly cared that we were happy with the work. Even when there was a misunderstanding about the countertop granite, they made it right, no questions asked. 2) their detail orientation: They spent a good amount up front consulting with us on what we wanted to achieve and came up with creative solutions to execute beyond what we could even envision. Two good examples of this were a) they recommended cabling our vanity in the powder room to suspend it from the wall instead of putting on legs to achieve the look we wanted, and then engineered it flawlessly, b) they spent a good amount of time on floor transitions, including making a custom faux painted transition into the hall bath and evening out existing room transitions. 3) their unparalleled quality: They delivered quality on every dimension. Every person on the team was a master at what they did, friendly and professional. They delivered AHEAD OF SCHEDULE (need I say more) and nothing was left unattended to or rushed through. As I mentioned, they stayed and attended to everything - every room transition - as if it were the most important thing on their schedule. I cannot say enough about CCCM!

I have complete trust and faith in Terry and all of his CCCM crew including Glenn and Jason. I have used them for many jobs around the house. The professionalism and workmanship was far better than I could have hoped for. You always worry about getting blindsided by contractors ripping you off, but CCCM is not one of them. Terry will explain in detail the plans and his recommendations. There are never surprises or hidden costs. I would recommend Terry to family, friends and coworkers. Reliability, dedication and trust are what CCCM are all about. Already planning our Master Bathroom renovation!

I'm remodeling a bathroom in my home (mostly on my own) so I called the company to see about getting a quote on replacing the sub-floor. I know that if the sub-floor isn't prepared properly, the ceramic tile I lay on top of it will crack. Terry answered the phone and after asking a few questions of me, he said he could come out and do the job but told me the sub-floor is the easiest part of the job. Knowing I wanted to do as much of the work as possible on my own, Terry took 10 or 15 minutes out of his day to go over the process of preparing the sub-floor. He explained each step from screwing the existing floor down to ensuring it's level to applying the backer board. He could have just come out, done the work and taken my money but instead gave me the knowledge I needed to do the work myself.
Description of Work: He gave me step by step instructions over the phone on how to complete my project.

Found CCCM on Angie's List two years ago when we decided to remodel our hall bath. After the job that they did on that bathroom, we wouldn't even considered having anyone else remodel our Master Bath. Terry, Jody and their crew aim to please and they do. After finishing the bathtub installation, shower plumbing and drain system outlined in my previous review a few months ago, Terry, Jodi, Kevin and Jim remodeled my bathroom and it's awesome. When I initially contacted Terry, he immediately indicated that my leaking tub issue is an insurance claim. The work described in my previous review was not covered, but the work described in this review was. This included removal of old tile (floor and shower), new drywall in areas where tile was not to be replaced (bathroom previously was tiled on all 4 walls), new tile on the floor and in the shower and installation of new shower fixtures, lighting and new toilet. The insurance company of course lowballed their settlement with me and Terry crafted a proposal which I submitted to them. They decided to cover all of it. Terry was very helpful in this process. It took a little while to get the remodeling work started as they were very busy this summer with many projects, which I guess is understandable if you have a reputation for good work. But once the work was started, they were working every day consecutively and on time, cleaned up well at the end of each workday and completed the work quickly. I had worked on a few creative ideas for the tile and they worked with me well to come up with a good looking and functional design for a good price. They were very knowledgeable about their work and it shows in the final product. I see a kitchen remodel at some point in my home's future and I'm definitely calling CCCM. Thanks again Terry, Jodi, Jim and Kevin.

I spoke with Terry about getting an estimate for a full bath remodel and to replace vinyl tile with porcelain tile in the master bath. We didn't get far when he told me that they were booked until January! It is only the beginning of October. I can't imagine waiting another 3 months to have a project started. I've already been getting estimates since August. When I told him it wasn't realistic to wait 3 - 4 months he said it was because they are "popular". I think he needs to hire more workers so people don't have to wait 3 months. Then, I couldn't get him off the phone so I could call other contractors that have an adequate team to accomplish projects.

Response from CCCM Inc
We were up front and honest when I returned her phone call promptly. I told her we book our work in advance in order to keep busy and run an efficient business. I told her the truth. We are booked with already scheduled work and asked her, her time frame. She wanted it done quickly. I told her we are not available to do it quickly. I was not even told the scope of the bath project. . .If we did not book customers in advance we would be sitting at home, and the men could not make an income. Customers take weeks and even months sometimes to select product for their home and make decisions about design etc. . It can take several weeks or more for orders such as cabinets to arrive. She explains she has been getting estimates since August (2 months). Apparently for what ever reason she has been not been able to hire a contractor. If she cannot wait, why is it taking so long to hire someone??

No complaints! A true professional with skilled employees and subcontractors. They were very response to all of our concerns. Our bathrooms look fantastic and are looking forward CCCM Inc doing our kitchen.
Description of Work: This is the second time we used CCCM Inc (Terry and Jody) and we were not disappointed. We were searching for a contractor to to complete a full gut job on both or our bathrooms. Terry and Jody did a fantastic job with the bathrooms. They were involved at every step of the remodel. From obtaining the necessary village permit, to advising on the selection of materials, all the way to the village inspector. Terry and his team did an excellent job turning run down and out of date bathrooms into modern, beautiful, and functional rooms. I am planning on remodeling my kitchen and putting down new flooring and cannot think of anybody else that I would like to use.

CCCM did a phenomenal job on our kitchen. From the start, Terry and Jody came up with a design and ideas so markedly different from the other contractors we interviewed, it was a no-brainer to choose CCCM for our kitchen remodel. Terry and/or Jody met me and helped me pick out the cabinets, flooring and backsplash tiles. While choosing cabinets, Jody came up with a brilliant idea for a niche for my cat food bowls so they are convenient to reach but out of the way so we don?t have to walk around them. If you have pets, make sure to talk with Jody and Terry about this great solution to the pet bowl issue. At the tile store, Terry inspired me to move out of my comfort zone and pick a backsplash tile made of dark slate. I never would have chosen it on my own, but it is now a key component and one of the things that everyone who has seen my kitchen compliments us on. Speaking of tiling, Jim did a superb job; he combed through all our tile boxes and picked just the right tile to go in next to the last tile, so it was perfect. The four-piece floor and slate subway pattern backsplash look amazing due to his care and diligence. Best of all, he installed a heating mat in the floor so that come this winter, both my cat and my toes will be warm and toasty. CCCM completely dismantled our kitchen down to the studs, including removal of a non-load bearing wall. They came up with the fantastic idea of raising the ceiling to match the pitch of the roof and scissor trusses, so it now mirrors the ceiling in the adjacent dining room and living room. The room looks so much bigger because of this. They installed insulation in the walls and in the attic before dry walling. At our first meeting, Jody noted that we had some cracks in our living room ceiling. This has bothered us for years, but CCCM stabilized the ceiling so that we hope the cracking issue is gone now. Jody and/or Kevin were at our house almost every day, ensuring things went well and keeping an eye on the details. Kevin was meticulous in all he did from insulation and dry wall to cabinet molding and pulls, making sure everything was installed perfectly. For example, Kevin made sure to verify locations of the drawer and cabinet pulls before he installed them, rather than assuming what he thought looked best. Kevin is patient, productive and a true craftsman. Ok, so every construction project has one or two issues and this project was no different. The electrical inspector from our town and CCCM?s electrical subcontractor had some, hmmm, shall I say differences in what needed to be done and how it was done. In the end, the differences were worked out and the electrical work is up to code, but we did loose two days from the schedule. This part was disappointing, but we survived. The other issue is that the cabinet company sent one door with a drip that needed replacement and they miscalculated the linear length of molding needed. There were two-two week delays not due to CCCM, but due to the cabinet manufacturer to get us the needed parts. When the parts arrived, Kevin was there and installed everything perfectly. Today, our kitchen is the dream kitchen beyond what we've always wanted or hoped for. We could not have imagined a design more perfect for our kitchen. Each day before they left, the work area was swept, tools were straightened up and the area was left broom clean. Terry would be disappointed if I did not mention that both he and Jody responded to my emails and texts promptly and with details to keep me informed of their work plans and schedules. Terry, Jody, Kevin and Jim all worked beyond our expectations and we would not hesitate to recommend their kitchen designs and installation work to anyone. You cannot go wrong with CCCM.
Description of Work: Dismantled the existing kitchen down to the studs, removing the ceiling and non-load-bearing wall. They insulated, ran new 220 wires, got 1970's wiring up to code, installed all new walls, tile (and heated) floors, ceilings, cabinets, backsplash, granite countertops and painted all new walls and ceiling. They worked with us every step of the way and the kitchen is wonderful because of their hard work.

We found a leak in our basement ceiling that apparently was coming from the bathroom upstairs. Turned out that there was a crack between the bathtub and the tile wall where shower water was leaking through over a couple of weeks. I called Terry and he told me that this could be a claim on my homeowners insurance, which I did not know. Sure enough the insurance company said they would cover it, although just the tile and floor that was naturally ruined due to the removal of the old tub. He came over and gave us a lot of great ideas to maximize what we could get with the insurance money. He and his team did a great job on replacing the tub, drain and plumbing to the faucet, valve and shower head. They also came back twice to rod the drain system to ensure that it would be as clear as possible. The price was very reasonable. We have yet to have the tile and floor replaced as it's more labor intensive and Terry is quite busy, which he should be because he's the best. Terry also says he has a lot of experience working with insurance adjusters to get a fair claim. I'm looking forward to working with Terry on this part of the project and I'm sure another great review will follow.

All the guys at CCCM were great to work with. They were very professional and friendly. The quality of the work was better than I had hoped for. Each day during the construction the bathroom and surrounding area were cleaned up. They worked the job while I was at work and each day made sure the house was locked up before leaving. This was a great relief to me since I live alone and could not take the time off work to stay home during the construction. If they had any questions they would leave me a note or call to get my input. All in all it was a great experience and I love my new bathroom. I would highly recommend the guys at CCCM for any remodeling job.
Description of Work: The job involved a complete remodel of my master bathroom. This involved tearing out a shower that gotten water in behind the tile rebuilding the wall retiling the shower and floor installing a new toilet, fan, vanity and sink. They also repainted the walls.

We used CCCM to remodel our kitchen. We went with CCCM based on a recommendation from a friend who used them, Angie's list rating, and meeting them in person. The crew was punctual (7 am on the dot every morning) and very professional and cordial. Each day after they left the work area was broom clean and all tools were organized and out of the way, which was good since we have young children running around. Jody was the main point of contact and he did a great job. He answered his phone whenever I called him (sometimes between 8 - 9 pm) and provided me with updates as needed. There were no billing surprises as he and Terry clearly explained what was included in the quote and what was not included. Any time something outside of the contract scope popped up, Jody notified me and provided an estimate prior to performing the additional work. The entire process was seamless from start to finish, as Jody handled scheduling with the village, cabinet designer, countertop installers, and electrician. We didn't have to worry about anything during the entire process. We used their recommended cabinet guys (Pearle Design Group) and countertop guys who were great, as well. It was a very seamless process with hardly any down time. The kitchen ended up great! I would use them again in the future.
Description of Work: We used CCCM to remodel our kitchen. We removed soffits, removed a pantry closet, rerouted conduit and ductwork, installed new cabinets, installed pendant lights and undercabinet lights, and installed new countertops.

We were extremely pleased with the work done by CCCM contractors. Despite unanticipated issues (unrelated to the contractors), the workers were professional, punctual, did an outstanding job, and were a pleasure to have in our home. The estimate was very close to the final cost, and they went the extra mile in every aspect of the job to ensure it was done well and that we were comfortable with their plans. Some of the complications resulted in work being done beyond our anticipated timeline, but they were always ready to come back when convenient to complete some of the smaller pieces of the project. We would use this company again without hesitation -- our kitchen is beautiful!
Description of Work: The contractors removed the kitchen flooring (linoleum) and replaced it with ceramic tile; removed and replaced all of the kitchen cabinets; removed the countertop (Formica) and replaced it with granite; installed toe kicks and trim to match the bamboo cabinets; and wallpapered areas that were no longer covered by the new cabinets. We asked them to come back a couple weeks ago to replace the dishwasher to ensure the beautiful work they did would remain intact with the installation.

At first, impressed. Now, very disappointed since it has been 5 weeks since I requested the estimates but I never heard back from them.
Description of Work: I contacted Terry to get estimates on several projects in my home, from crown moulding, wainscoting and a coffered ceiling to adding an interior door (french, pocket or barn) and adding a ceiling treatment in my sunroom. He was pleasant on the phone, and both he and his son Jody arrived at our scheduled appointment time on February 15th right on schedule. They were both very pleasant during the appointment, as well, taking time to take the measurements and go thru each of the specific projects for which I requested estimates. I explained what I visualized for each space but also indicated that I was open to their ideas and expertise. They left with a clear understanding of what I was hoping to accomplish for each of my projects, and I even sent them a listing of the various projects right after they left (via e-mail) so that it was clear since we probably spent close to 2 hours going over the various projects. At their request, I also sent a link to my Pinterest board w/images of what I would like to accomplish so they had a reminder of what we had reviewed. I was really looking forward to receiving their ideas and estimates, and was told that Terry was going to be on vacation the next week but that I would hear back from them after he was back. I would love to be able to report here another one of the many "A" ratings that had me select Terry in the first place, but unfortunately I have not heard from or received ANY information from them, and it is now more than a month later (5 weeks). Given that neither has contacted me or provided any of the requested estimates, all I can assume is that they do not want the work, and am very disappointed because I was really looking forward to working with them on these and other projects in the future. I don't understand why they would waste either of our time by coming out and then not provide estimates for a single one of the projects we discussed. It's a shame, as my impression was that they would have done a good job. I am giving them a C- rating on average instead of worse, since at least at first they were responsive.

Response from CCCM Inc
I was delayed in our research of the many options we were considering. Due to customers complicated and very labor intensive projects, we were researching options in order to be cost effective. Her two story ceiling presented a challenge and we were researching light weight materials to keep the cost down. Our computers were down due to outside contractor and we were awaiting them to get us back up and running. This set us back a considerable amount of time. I should have called the customer and explained the delay. A simple phone call that I should have not neglected to make. I apologize
