Terry, Jody, Kevin, Brian, and other did a great job. The new bathroom looks terrific, and we have received many compliments from visitors. As we expected with an older house and previous amateur do-it-yourselfers, we did run into a few problems with the project. Specifically, we had old plumbing, old wiring, and had some unforeseen issues with the city, permits, and fire alarms. Terry & the guys onsite kept us well informed of the various situations that arose, provided options, and tried to keep unanticipated costs under control where possible. The project did take a bit longer than originally anticipated, and it did take a bit of time to get the project going (partly due to our deciding on all the components). There was also some confusion on getting the parts ordered, which was resolved. The guys were very friendly and open to questions while working on the project (especially Kevin). The tile guy they use (cannot remember name) was outstanding. The electricians were also very good. Jody designed, built, & installed a VERY creative storage solution for our very small 5x7 1950's bathroom. We were very impressed with the creativity & execution of the idea.
Description of Work: CCCM did a complete remodel of main bathroom, including full demolition, rebuild, plumbing, tile, electrical.

Everything was done professionally, courteously, and exactly as quoted.
Description of Work: Had a severely clogged upstairs sink which needed to be rodded out. These guys were here ahead of time, took off their shoes, dropped cloths everywhere, cleaned up and did a great job; not to mention that they were really nice. The were quick, the price they gave was the price they charged and it was CONSIDERABLY cheaper than the quote I had several days before. I can whole heartedly recommend these guys.
It took awhile to start the project, since the company usually does one project at a time. However, since we were expecting, they agreed to start our project early, while working on another one nearby. Once they started, the project took about 2 months. They were very punctual, responsible, professional, communicative, easy to work with and talk to. We chose high end materials, but they did their best to let us know what our options were and to tried to help us not go over budget as much as possible. We were very happy with the quality of work and in the end, it was definitely worth the wait.
Description of Work: Bathroom: Completely gutted the bathroom, put in a new toilet (same spot); new air jet tub/shower with divert for rain head, handheld, and tub spout; installed tile in tub/shower & floor; ran new plumbing for a new sink vanity with mirror. Removed a square glass block window and replaced with a transom window (adjusted siding, too). Ran new electrical for 2 sconces, 2 recessed lights in shower, and a fan/light. Put up sink vanity & recessed medicine cabinet with frame. Installed pocket door. Painted and installed new trim. Master Bedroom: Removed part of an angled closet to create vanity area, including two spotlights. Put in a wall to create a master walk-in closet, in an open area of the room. Opened one existing closet to the hallway, creating a linen closet, and closed it off to the master bedroom. Installed pocket door with mirror. Ran electrical and cable for new outlets and an overhead light in closet. Installed new trim. Basement: Installed a new 75gal water heater and replaced all galvanized pipe with copper.

Terry was the first contractor to give us a quote and we very nearly hired him on the spot. He took the time to ask questions and understand what we wanted. He offered up several suggestions and we really felt like he wasn't always just trying to increase the cost to make more money. As we worked our way to the start of the project, we made several changes, and some suggestions and ideas from both Terry and his crew helped us deal with a few things that ended up making the bathroom better than we had hoped for. Once work began, the guys were here on time every single day and put in their full days plus extra time and weekends when warranted. We've had them come by a couple of extra times to fix a few minor things and do a bit of touch up, and we've seen nothing but great service and responsiveness from Terry. Everyone who did work at our house took pride in their work and treated this as if it were a project in their own homes. They also did a fantastic job of cleaning up after each day and at the end of the job. We were very impressed with CCCM and will definitely be looking to hire them again for future jobs around the house. I would recommend them to any of our family and friends as well.
Description of Work: Remodel of bathroom including new vanity, mirror, faucet, toilet, shower/faucet. Also tiled floor, shower and parts of the wall. Removed a window which was replaced with insulated glass and opened up a closet.
I can't say enough good things about Terry D. and his company CCCM. He was honest, totally reliable and treated us like family. He found ways to save us money without taking shortcuts on quality. He gave us expert advice on areas of concern we had not considered and was more than fair with the bill. The cost was extremely close to original estimate. There was only minor overage for materials for some extra work we had done that was not considered in estimate. He didn't even charge us for labor for several things not considered in original estimate. His contractors worked very hard and were also professional, courteous, and timely. I really appreciated the fact that he called and came when promised. He also and kept us informed every step of the way. It was such a pleasure working with Terry and his sons, that I would definitely use them again and recommend them to anyone considering remodeling or repair work.
Description of Work: Removed old rotten wood on soffit and facia, replaced with new. Covered soffit, facia, window frames and door frames with aluminum. Installed new gutters and leaf guard. Installed new side garage door and frame. Repaired damage done to flooded basement. Cut away damaged paneling baseboard and wood. Removed old floor tiles. Coated basement floor with layer of cement to cover old adhesive. Installed new vinyl tiles, baseboard, base shoe. Installed chair rail strip on one wall. Found and repaired floor to ceiling crack in basement wall. Removed two old cabinets. Repaired base and door of center basement storage column unit. Replaced door to laundry room. Treated areas of basement with antimicrobial agent.

Terry and Co.remind me of a good restaurant--you have to wait a little longer for service, but it's worth the wait. I have never met a contractor more dedicated to his customer than Terry. He is honest and fair. His primary goal is to make sure you are satisfied with every part of the job. I don't think he cares as much about money as he does making sure you are happy with the job. If something doesn't come out quite right, he does not hesitate to redo it. He stayed in constant touch with us throughout, and if someone wasn't on schedule, Terry got them back on it. He is the overall coordinator. His son Jody is the on-site foreman/all-around trouble-shooter. Kevin and Terry's other son Brian are the master carpenters. All four have vast construction knowledge, so they interact well with each other and other tradespeople. Terry also uses highly qualified outside contractors for misc. such as tile, electric., drywall, etc. Same rules apply, Terry insists they redo something if not done right the first time. Jody has a great mind. He designed a great new kitchen/laundry layout, incl re-configuring fluted-glass ext. dining doors as entrances to the laundry/family. He made custom thresholds for our laundry/ family and a special drain cover for our shower. He is easy to work with and offers alternatives. He is also very detail-oriented, which prevented problems during installment. Kevin and Brian are the accurate carpenters tearing down old/installing new. Their placement was always level, centered, exact. Kevin devised on the spot alternatives to make decisions easier. Brian worked tirelessly at tying up loose ends. Together, CCCM is a well-synchronized team. They adapt to the unexpected, like a wall not square or a leaking pipe. Whatever came up, they dealt with it immediatly or got one of their reliable outsiders asap. CCCM doesn't come and go as they please, leaving for days or weeks at a time, they pretty much are there full-time until the end. A couple of times due to delays beyond anyone's control (a permit delayed, appliances hadn't arrived) they had to pull off the job temporarily. I understood they couldn't sit around doing nothing, or put in just a two-hour day, so they had my blessing to leave for short periods. It hardly delayed anything. CCCM always did things as efficiently as possible. Terry gave us many contacts for choices- appliances, windows, baths, etc. The contacts always had good things to say about him. I don't want to turn these guys into saints. Not everything went off perfectly, but that shouldn't be surprising when remodeling an old home. But overall, this is a really good bunch of guys, honest, dedicated, experienced, professional. They did a fantastic job. Although remodeling is stressful, I was confidant from start to finish that CCCM was going to transform our old home into a gorgeous, modern stunner, and they did. Thanks, Terry and Co. Well done.
Description of Work: CCCM completely remodeled our kitchen/laundry area and two bathrooms. They also performed miscellaneous repairs throughout our home and added some new doors and windows.

Description of Work: Terry had previously done work for us on our bathrooms (new tile, shower-head, pipes, etc) last May. Some of caulk had come undone probably because our home is pretty old and the house shifts. Terry came out and fixed it at no charge.

Called Terry based on Angies List reports to resolve and get a 3rd opinion on a sewer backup problem. Terry informed me he no longer did that type of work but gave me some good insight on the problem, likely causes and typical price ranges. He also made several extra calls to find me a good, reliable company who could help. His effort showed great professionalism!
The cause of the problem was relatively minor, but the damage was extensive. They were very thorough to assure that they had the entire problem figured out. The drywall repair is outstanding. Once painted there was no way to tell where the problem occurred in the ceiling. The also did an incredible job replacing and matching perfectly an intricate set of woodwork as part of an existing built in cabinet system. Again, absolutely no way to tell that a repair had been made. Unfortunately part of the marble tile in the bathroom had to be removed to get to the problem. They did a very surgical job pulling out what was needed doing the repair and then putting it all back. This involved not only removing and replacing the marble tile, but also the dura rock substrate (which if you know what that is, it is like trying to cut out steel). When they got it all put back together it looked like it had never been touched. A nice extra since they were there, they decided to re-caulk the tub all around even though they only affected a very small area. Everything wound up looking like new. It is great to work with a group of guys that can explain things very clearly and totally follow up and follow through on everything. I was very impressed with the quality, the speed with which the work was completed and the cost. They are truly professionals.
Description of Work: I had some water damage due to what turned out to be a faulty tub spout. The repairs included diagnosing what was actually broken, removing and repairing drywall in the ceiling below the affected area as well as some damaged wood work. They also had to pull down some marble to get to the problem area in the bathroom.

On a Thursday afternoon, we saw a crack in the master bath toilet base. We called CCCM. Terry explained what we needed to purchase, suggested a "comfort toilet", told us what else we needed to buy and promised to have a worker stop at our home on his way to work the next morning. After being assured that we really are early risers, Terry said the person would be there at 6:30 a.m. At exactly 6:30 a.m., a plumber appeared at our door. The water source tube we had purchased at the big box store was defective, so the plumber drove to the store to get the replacement. The work was completed quickly and neatly. We were very impressed with the responsiveness of this company and with the follow-up call we received from Terry to make sure that we were satisfied with the work. We will certainly use this company again.

CCCM did an excellent job and we are very pleased with they work they did in our kitchen remodel. We look forward to having them complete our bathroom remodel. I was very impressed with Terry DeBartolo from the start when he came over for the consultation. He was objective and I could sense he really cares about quality work, takes pride in his work, is well versed in consumer rights and consumer protection and encourages all consumers to research prospective contractors and do their homework before hiring a contractor. He has taken over many projects that have been remodel nightmares for consumers. His company has an excellent reputation and after losing trust, confidence and a lot of money with the fired contractor, I needed someone that I did not have to worry about and would have peace of mind. His men, Jody, Kevin and Brian did an excellent job. they are all professional, very skilled, knowledgeable, thoughtful, patient, respectful of us and our home. We were so relieved to see that they could redo the poor work installed by our previous contractor and do a beautiful job completing the kitchen remodel. CCCM went above and beyond our expectations. Not only did they do an exceptional job but it was their thoughtfulness that sticks in my mind. We were waiting for the countertops to be installed which happened to be the week before Christmas. Terry asked the guys to stop another project to install our sink and dishwasher/complete our kitchen before Christmas. We are so grateful. Jody fixed our front door so it doesn't stick anymore when you close it. I didn't even ask him to do that! Jody also cleaned out our dryer vent when I told him it took me 2 hours to dry clothes. Once again he offered to clean it out without charge. We so appreciate their help in such a stressful time for us. Thank you again!
Description of Work: We asked CCCM to take over a kitchen remodel job after we fired the previous contractor for unacceptable and very poor workmanship they did in our bathroom and kitchen remodel. CCCM came to the house for consultation on what was already done by the previous contractor and what we wanted redone and completed by CCCM. CCCM reworked three base cabinets the previous contractor poorly installed. CCCM was able to level out the three cabinets to the rest of the other base cabinets and install the corner cabinets along with customized filler strips so I am actually able to open the spice drawer cabinet now. They shimmed off the bottom of the 1 or 2 base cabinets to make them level with the other base cabinets the previous contractor installed. They needed to drill holes in the rear bottom of the base cabinets to run a copper water line to the refrigerator - the previous contractor did not allot for when installing our kitchen tile or installing our cabinets. They also installed a panel inside the glass door cabinet to cover a mistake the fired contractor made. They moved the new refrigerator in our living room into the kitchen, plugged it in for use and hooked up the waterline for the ice/water dispenser. Also moved the stove from the garage to the kitchen, installed it after having to move the gas line so the oven could fit correctly. They installed the dishwasher and hooked it up. Jody did additional work because my integrated trim kit I ordered for the 3rd time still did not work how I wanted it to, so he painted the sides to blend into the cabinets as I requested, and Brian applied a customized cabinet front with handle to the front of the dishwasher panel. A toe kick and base shoe was installed and they built a toe kick and base shoe to the right of the dishwasher. I was not sure if I wanted the base shoe under the cabinets but considering the fired contractor did a poor floor install job laying uneven tiles and unleveled floor the base shoe helped cover his mistakes. CCCM provided and installed 4 new under counter lights. In addition to the original proposal extras were added, such as I decided to add upper cabinet lighting, moving the gas line for the stove was unexpected, painting the dishwasher frame, reworking the back splash electrical wiring the fired contractor installed, plumbing parts purchased, hooking up the sink and garbage disposal. They did not charge me for the consultation, installing a kitchen light fixture or the hours Jody spent picking up parts. Thank you!

It went well- he handled the job in about 30 minutes and we are good to go!
Description of Work: Terry and I discussed when he would come back out to our home to give us an estimate to do our kitchen (they did a bathroom for us already). At the end of our conversation, I asked him if he could recommend a good plumber because we had a leak in our plumbing in the basement. Terry said that he would send someone out as soon as possible- we had one of his staff members over the following morning at 7:00am.

We have used this company for a kitchen remodel and once again they did not disappoint. The owner came out and measured everything and we received our estimate within a day or two. The estimate provided was far lower than the other two we had received. The crew that came to do the siding was prompt, friendly and efficient. They had most of the job done the first day. When the crew left everything was cleaned up and back in place. The house looks great and we can already tell the extra insulation is keeping the house warmer. Thanks again for the great price and great job!

Terry from CCCM came to my home to give me bid on having a closet removed in my basement turned home theater. While he was taking measurements, he was able to make suggestions for improvements that seem obvious in hindsight. Jody from CCCM drew up 3D plans with some additional mods and personalization based on what I had told Terry. I gave the go ahead on the add'l work as they were, without exception, great ideas. Trying to describe what they did would be difficult as it was very unique work. Suffice to say, the work area was covered in either a protective cloth cover (audio equipment, furniture, candy counter) or a tight-fitting plastic shrink-wrap (stairs, carpeting). Despite the large amount of wood working done in my garage during the project, CCCM's crew were actually neater in my garage than I typically am. Owning to the very unique nature of the project, construction lasted a day and a half longer than originally planned (which was absolutely fine). I was kept up to date without having to ask as the project proceeded; Terry and Jody were easy to reach if needed. The finished job looks great. A friend of ours who is both an engineer and a fairly advanced woodworker commented that he was impressed by the work as well.
Description of Work: Much more than just removing and adding walls, they were absolutely invaluable in suggesting the modifications that have really transformed my home theater. As someone who is both a technology freak and half of a couple that loves to entertain, CCCM were able to take my goals (some of which were rather, ahem, unique) and turn them into a well engineered and built reality. The many aspects of this project that were *very much* one-off pieces did not give pause to them which is a feat itself. When I say one-off, I mean building a (wall? box? overhang?) to allow mounting of a full sized replica of the arch from 1966 Batmobile. They also built a half-height wall able to accommodate electrically cooled and heated cup holders. They built a special enclosure for my arcade game that not only made it look more built-in, but also actually made easier for people to play on.

On Monday Jody and Kevin stopped by because they were in the area and took a look at the frame. The price was lower than other bids that I got. They were very responsive. They subcontracted some tile work in the bathroom that I do not think was as good as CCCM's work. CCCM did come back, though, and correct a problem that I had with the subcontractor. I would hire them again for similar work and would recommend them to others.

I was impressed that CCCM called me back just to inform me that they no longer do additions. A lot of companies simply wouldn't have returned the call. But then the man I spoke to gave me some useful suggestions for finding the right contractor (what to look for, what questions to ask, etc etc.) I was grateful that he would take the time to help me out in what can be a very big decision.
Description of Work: Called CCCM to inquire about building an addition to our home after seeing the wonderful reports on Angie's List. The man I spoke to let me know that he was no longer doing additions.
On this last minor maintenance job, the owner Mr. DeBartolo and his son came out and looked at the exterior repair work that my home needed. My home is an English Tudor style house that is approximately 30 years old and needed several boards replaced, some window sills repaired or replaced and some pseudo-stucco repaired. Mr.DeBartolo, his son and I discussed the various methods of repair at length. We agreed on how to proceed and he scheduled me into his busy work schedule and the repairs were done in one day. They did a beautiful job and my house is now ready to be painted.
Description of Work: Earlier this year CCCM remodeled my kitchen, sunroom and a bathroom which included all new tile floors, cabinets, appliances, lighting, and redesign of kitchen layout. Cost $150,000.00 and worth every penny. They did a magnificent job, which is why I called them again for some minor exterior repairs. Again they were very professional, prompt and performed the work in one day. The beauty of dealing with CCCM is that just don't do the work, they THINK about the work and offer great suggestions on how to perform it always keeping in mind doing the job professionally while considering cost which as a customer I greatly appreciate. I will always use them for any home remodeling or maintenance in the future. You can't get better quality work, professionalism or a company whose employees are always concerned about doing the best job for the customer. I don't even think about calling anyone else since finding them on Angie's list.

The first time Terry was going on vacation and said he would contact me upon his return...never saying when that return would be. After weeks passed I e-mailed asking if he was back; he said he had just returned and would contact me to set up an appointment. Another week passes, I e-mail again, he says he is available and will contact me "shortly," again not committing to a time. Good grief, if you are too busy or don't want the business just say so. This was a ridiculous experience and I have put off committing to other contractors who were more than willing to meet with me. I have lost respect for this company and I am shocked after all of the good reviews.

THE MEMBER DID CALL ASKING FOR AN ESTIMATE ON SOME REMODELING WORK. I EXPLAINED TO HIM WE WERE BACKED UP WITH WORK THROUGH THE REST OF 2008 AND THAT IF HE WAS LOOKING TO HAVE REMODELING WORK COMPLETED THIS YEAR WE WOULD BE UNABLE TO HELP. HE SAID HE WAS NOT IN A HURRY AND THE WORK COULD WAIT UNTIL 2009, HOWEVER HE WOULD LIKE TO GET AN ESTIMATE IN THE NEAR FUTURE SOMETIME. I WAS LEAVING FOR VACATION AND TOLD HIM I WOULD GET BACK TO HIM WHEN I RETURNED. THE MEMBER WAS WELL AWARE WE WERE VERY BUSY AND THAT I WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO GET OUT FOR AN ESTIMATE UNTIL I GOT CAUGHT UP AFTER MY RETURN. WITHIN ONE WEEK OF MY RETURN I DID TELL HIM I WOULD CALL HIM IN A COUPLE OF DAYS AND SET A TIME TO COME OUT THE FOLLOWING WEEK. HOWEVER THAT DID NOT WORK FOR HIM AND HE CHOSE TO MOVE ON. I DID MAKE A COMMITMENT FOR THE FOLLOWING WEEK BUT THAT SCHEDULE DID NOT WORK WITH HIS APPARENTLY.
