JT and an assistant spent a good amount of time measuring the attic, assessing the problem, and providing me with their remediation options. The assessment was thorough and detailed. We had three estimates from similar companies, and I ended up using another contractor. The information and estimate were valuable and provided in good faith, their price was reasonable, and I would recommend that anyone with a mold problem consider this company. My decision to use a different company was based primarily on schedule availability and secondarily on a slightly lower price to do more encapsulation.

JT came to the house and was very helpful and honest about what needed to be done to fix the mold in our attic. He did not try and upsell me on additional things. We hired him and his guys came right on time to complete the job. They were professional, finished the job in a clean manner, and returned the next day to finish up what they needed to do. Everything went smoothly and I'd definitely use them again.

Very well. JT came to my house on schedule. Climbed into my attic to inspect the issue and take measurements. After some onsite calculations he provided me with the options and prices for each. He did not try to sell me on a more expensive solution but laid out the alternatives. I was selling my house so I wanted to solve the problem without spending more than I needed to. After comparing other companies and eliminating those that only wanted to do a partial job to lower the cost JT's price was by far the best. His team showed up on time. They were very respectful of my house and very courteous. They covered everything, wore booties, set up a plastic barrier to seal off the attic access and went to work. They had to wait a couple of days to complete the final step due to the outside temperature requirements for the final sealing step. After the work was completed they cleaned up everything and we could not tell they had even been there. The work is warrantied for 10 years and the mold is gone! I am very satisfied with the work and would definitely use them again.

JT came out to my house to give me an estimate on some mold remediation and to tell me the extent of the work needed. The problem ended up being not as bad as I thought it would be. My windows leak and there's mold around the casings, so JT told me replacing the windows would fix that issue. It's not something that makes him a profit, but he was honest and professional about what needed to be done. He collected air samples to do mold counts but I am waiting for those results (should get them today). There are some other problem spots in my house, that will need work in the near future and I will definitely be calling them back to correct those issues.

JT, his wife Marie, and the team at AdvantaClean far surpassed my expectations. They operate on a level above most comapnies you will find today. JT was so responsive, he always awnsered my phonecalls or would return them promptly. He came far out of his way to our house in Sycamore on a Saturday to give us an estimate. He was honest, knowledgable, and I was very comfortable having him and his team in my home. I was worried about the repair because I was a brand new homeowner, two weeks away from my due date when the damage occured (I am a worry wort and I made him test for mold, and also for lead paint in our walls) He was so patient, and even went out of his way to help me work with my insurance company. I have high standards when it comes to customer service, and the whole crew at AdvantaClean far surpassed all of my expectations. Dad says they are amazing! They took the time to explain what the actual problem in the attic was, recommended a ventilation/insulation specialist, Goos-Down, to determine the real cause and handle the ventilation and re-insulation needs. They completed the remediation/encapsulation in a MOST courteous and efficient manner. My dad is at the stage where he is having the attic fan and related electrical issues resolved before Goos-Down comes in to do their work. My dad says the AdvantaClean contract and experience was amazing. J.T. Maier, the company president, Carolyn Riffel, his administrative assistant, Marie, his wife, and their staff, Adam, John and Jeremy, all made it very clear they were devoted to fixing my parents' attic problem efficiently and affordably. My dad cannot stop praising the folks in this company, not just because of the excellent work they did, but also because of the special concern they exhibited through the whole process. The customer is truly priority one with them!

JT and his team did an excellent job from start to finish. It's important to understand the mold was not obvious or visible on all wood surfaces. This required all surfaces to be remediated and in my opinion a very time consuming effort. The final air testing results came back negative for mold. His team arrived on a Monday and finished on the following Saturday. New Year's day fell on that Wednesday and the follow-up air testing results were delayed one day due to weather. JT was very accommodating with our schedule, the Holiday and we with the weather. If JT or one of his team members was running late they called to let us know. Prior to encapsulation JT walked us through the remediated areas for our approval. I highly recommend JT and AdvantaClean for air+mold testing and remediation work. They are very professional with solid work ethics and keep the customer informed.

They did a great job! They had young kids (the owner’s kids) working with them, but everyone was professional. It took a full day to clean it out. They came back a few days earlier after the dryers and they pulled their equipment out. The price was comparable to other companies. I plan on using them in the future for vent cleaning.

My son was in the hospital in Chicago being treated for leukemia. The only hope for cure was a bone marrow transplant which was done in late May 2013. The doctor said that before he would be discharged the house needed to be tested for mold and if found, remediated. The vents of the heating and AC system would also need to be cleaned. My son went online searching for a company to do the job. He chose AdvantaClean of Northwest Chicagoland to contact for an estimate. JT came to the house to look over the situation. He discovered that about 10 square feet of the basement wall and ceiling needed to be remediated and gave us a very reasonable estimate. When he asked where my son was I explained that he was in the hospital receiving a transplant for leukemia. At that time he had been out of work and released from his job because he could not be present to work. Essentially he had no income from work for his 9 months of treatment. JT left and awaited our choice of providers. We decided on AdvantaClean and called to set up an appointment for the work to be done. To our pleasant surprise he told me that when he was driving away from our home, the Lord laid it on his heart that he should do this job free of charge to my son because of his situation. We are ever so grateful that JT's faith was put into action in this most generous way. Obviously, he cannot do this for everyone, but I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for an honest, fair and faithful provider of service. The work was done well and when it became apparent that a section of ductwork needed some attention, the response to fix the problem was phenomenal--literally just hours after talking with JT's wife about the situation. A voicemail went unanswered because it was not received but once we spoke with someone in the office (JT's wife) the situation was handled within hours. We would certainly use the company in the future and recommend them to anyone.

Our experience with Advanta Clean was excellent. JT was very thorough in his examination of the affected area and answered all of our questions. When additional questions arose, he was quick to respond via email and over the phone. His tech, Adam, came out along with JT to complete the work. They did an excellent job in cleaning up the mold and treating to make sure that it does not come back. After the job was complete, JT & Adam came back out to further treat the closet because our job was quite unconventional. I feel very confident that we won't have to deal with the mold ever again in the future. I highly recommend this company because of the respect demonstrated toward the customer and the commitment demonstrated toward truly fixing the problem.

Jt and his crew not only got the job done in a professional and orderly manner.JT also helped me understand and deal with my insurance , he worked with my insurance hand in hand. I would definatly use thier service again and if I should come across anyone else that needed help I would definatly refer him to friends and family to get what needed to be done. JT and his crew also disposed of the debree so we had one less thing to worry about .

JT Maier came out for estimate and investigated the issue and took the time to listen to the history and possible causes. We discussed three options of which he would detail in his estimate as this would allow me to see top end if the situation warranted it as well as least cost estimate if mold damage was not extensive. He submitted the estimate on time. I also gather two other estimates with all three being in the same general range. After receiving the estimates I did call JT back to ask if he would remove the mold debris and drywall that was going to torn away from walls and he said he would. This was an issue for me as other estimates did not include this and frankly I did not want to have to have this sit in my garage. Adam who did the work on my closet was very good, he showed up on time did what he said he would do. He was very efficient and he cleaned up area when done. Very professional company and JT knows his domain and I like the fact that he gave me three estimates to cover the worst case scenario to the least case. This was very helpful.

I called JT that afternoon and he was able to come out on that Saturday. I appreciated the fact that he did make suggestions for an attic vent and advised to have the bathroom vented properly. JT said if I didn't have an electrician I trust to do the work, he would suggest some names. He also gave me the option of having a coating/sealer added to the attic after cleaning to insure a 10yr guarantee. (The other sales person did not give me this option). I opted out of the sealer because I plan on a new roof in about 5 years. TJ was careful in explaining the entire process, answered all my questions and was honest and courteous. JT came out with one of his guys and did a thorough inspection of a home we were going to purchase that had a major mold issue. I was so impressed by the level of professionalism and expertise regarding this extreme mold case. I was very comfortable with JT and he explained the situation and options in a way I could understand and the quote he presented was actually a bit lower than what I had anticipated. We unfortunately did not get the house, so JT's team did not do the actual work but if I ever have any issue that his company took care of, there is NO doubt I'll be calling him. If you want someone professional, and just an all around great guy and company to work with, call them!

They were arrived at the scheduled time and were very professional. They did the work what they were suppose to do in a very friendly and professional manner. They took the time to explain what they were doing. Overall a very good experience and would recommend and use them again.

The AdvantaClean workers, were able to promptly respond with drying fans and remove the damaged area affected by a broken sump pump line. The dry wall was entirely removed from one closet, and a storage system gently dismantled in order to get to the root of the problem. It was nice to have confidence that my mold problem was addressed professionally by JT Maier and his crew.

NOTE: I'm the Owner/Landlord of the unit that was serviced and wasn't able to be present during the job since I reside in another state. AdvantaClean came recommended by a friend. PROS: Given the time sensitivity of the project, JT reworked his schedule during the research/bidding phase in order to meet the requested deadline, something no one else displayed during this time (I was bidding the job to 2 other companies). His willingness to go the 'extra mile' and character were ultimately why I decided to hire JT and his crew, with an understanding that the job would get done by XYZ company, but wanted to work with someone whom I felt comfortable with - I'm glad I went with JT! Throughout the entire process, the customer service (including Marie's follow-ups) was 'second to none.' Anytime an issue arose, JT responded in a timely fashion and addressed the issue while taking FULL responsibility and ownership. In the end, JT and his crew completed the job as promised and once the job was complete, the loft was tested and passed - the ultimate goal! CONS (w/PROS): Unfortunately, there were issues which could have been avoided, but as previously stated, JT took full responsibility. When discussing these matters with JT, he was very easy to speak with. At no time, did he try and 'brush away' the matter, but rather offered assistance and follow-thru with whatever steps were necessary to rectify the issues. Primary issues that I'm referring to had nothing to do with the actual job at hand (mold remediation), but the condition the loft was left in after their work. When JT inspected the place after the job, he was very apologetic for its state and the inconvenience it has caused. However, in the end, he addressed the issues and the loft was taken care of. CONCLUSION: Knowing what I know now, I would still hire JT, despite the inconvenience we had, for the simple reason that JT and his entire team KNOW how to treat people!

After the sump pump failed and water got all over the basement. The advantaClean started removing the carpet and checking all the nooks and crannies to verify which walls were wet All the work was done very quickly and in a professional manner At every point were given options to save the paneling and minimize rebuilding costs. We were very impressed by the level of organization and efficiency. All our question were answered

The basement was inspected for suspected mold due to water coming through a window and was discovered in two exterior walls. A barrier was used to isolate that part of the basement from the rest of the house, a HEPA air scrubber was used and vented to the outisde. The moldy drywall was removed, antimicrobial solution was used to clean drywall studs and concrete walls. Basement was retested by a 3rd party company. Unfortunately, mold was discovered in two interior basement walls that we didn't realize were affected by the water. The AdvantaClean team remediated that area the next day, and the subsequent 3rd party test showed that no mold remained in the basement. The team was professional, courteous and described each part of the process thoroughly. We were updated at each stage of the remediation process, and they made sure we understood everything they were doing and answered any questions we had. We found their prices to be quite reasonable, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone!

Once we noticed the mold we called Advantaclean and a representative came by and gave us an immediate quote of around $1,000. He was very professional, helpful, and educated us on the problem. Once he reviewed the job at my home with his colleagues he came down in price which was great. The area around the window was cleaned, moldy drywall was removed, and an air scrubber was placed in the room to suck up any loose spores in the air which took about a full day. I then got an air test done and it came back that there were still spores present, so a representative from Advantaclean came back out and gave it one more thorough cleaning for free along with purchasing an air quality test on them to assure there was no more mold present. Their policy is to keep remediating until the test comes back mold free, which is great unlike some companies which add on charges. All in all we had a great experience with Advantaclean and would recommend them to anyone with mold or water damage.

Extremely Well. I called and made appointment to have our Dryer Air Vent cleaned and have serious lint packed conditioned removed. I talked with a representative the day before to commit to 10a.m. arrival time. They were here at 10:00 a.m and immediately unloaded the equipment for the cleaning. They started in immediately and kept commnuicating with me on what was going on with the cleaning and lint removal. They had to use different types of equipment and let me know how to maintain the vents for a longer time to stay cleaner. Their equipment was very well kept up . After the job was completed they cleaned the entire area and asked me if it was OK to leave upon inspection. I would definetly recommend this company for any future dryer vent cleaning.

The upper bedrooms were cold so I was going to have added insulation blown in the attic. Mold was found on the roof in the attic so we called Avantaclean. They came over and told us what needed to be done and how much it would cost, so we accepted his offer. After a week of cleaning, monitoring, dehumidifying, etc. and telling us the old insulation had to be removed the work was completed to our satisfaction. All the mold was remediated and fogged after with a "green" chemical to insure the all the mold was gone succesfully. Job well done.

I'm very satisfied with the quality of service I received from this company. My wife has an allergy which we thought is caused by particles from dust or pollen. After the air duct cleaning I don't remember her having allergy reaction again. Not only satisfied with the result but also on how the company treated us. They are professional and honest in their dealings. I was charged a reasonable price and no more than the estimated cost. There were no surprises in term of additional services required and fees. In fact, they cleaned up my dryer duct and lit my pilot in the furnace with free of charge. I would recommend them if you need air duct cleaning service.

First we thought it would be an easy and quick job but both my wife & I were wrong. Air duct cleaning is indeed a hard work that needs a professional to do it right. It also requires discipline & willingness to do it well no matter what it takes. And that's what I liked with AdvantaClean. After the job, I just felt I did not pay enough! So if you have coupons that say $5 per air duct, don't ever get fooled and trapped! Hours of professional hard work is not cheap come on! I have seen their gigantic, expensive-looking, dust-sucking equipment and tools, watched them do the work for most part and it's unbelievable and could not imagine doing it myself. One more I liked is that they gave me the option to clean 14 air vent covers myself thus saving me some money! They have shown me the ducts before they started cleaning and it was unbelievable to see all the dirt. They really wanted me to see them how they do the job and it's really impressive. They gave a lot of information on how the process works and how the job would be completed. They did encounter some limitations but they were honest and gave me option to decide what makes sense. Greatest of all of course when they left as if nothing happened for it was all neat and there were no surprise fees & charges as compared to their original quote!
