It all started fine. He was prompt, professional for the first 2 weeks. It became apparent when he installed the subway tiles in the shower that this was not his strength as they were crooked. He argued with me that it was "the angle" the eye saw them at and that they were straight. I had to pull them off before they dried and had him do it again. While better the second go round it was not a professional grade job. He brought in a plumber to install the shower valve which was fine. I left for twelve days on a trip and he asked if he could have a key to the house so he could finish the shower. I gave him the key and told him that I expected it to be done before I returned. We are now into 3 weeks or a two week job. I got back from the trip and nothing had been done to complete the shower. I found out from my neighbors (who had warned me after I hired him) that he had other jobs and that he has a reputation of starting and not finishing existing jobs. It old him that he had 3 days to complete my shower. He rushed to put everything back including a cracked shower head pipe which had caused the leak in the first place. I discovered this and had to repair it myself. He was supposed to have painted the back staircase and said that he had not completed it due to weather. He put me off for about 1 week. I then told him that it was to be completed by a certain date and either he would do it and get paid or I would and he would be fired. He chose the later. We overpayed him and he sent a ridiculous account where he played with the numbers so he did not owe anything to us including a "contract cancellation fee" of $200.00 when he was fired for not performing the contract. We are suing him in small claims court. BEWARE of this man and do not trust him to do anything in your home!!!!!
