Carlos was a pleasure to work with on this project. He is an experienced contractor who understood what I wanted to accomplish and anticipated any issues that might arise when I first met with him. He arrived on time each day, was well organized, neat and clean and he had a solid plan to complete the project within the 2 days he scheduled. The results are amazing. I would highly recommend him and certainly plan to work with him again on my next project.

The project was a challenge for Mendez's flooring. Changing the shower plumbing to copper was an unexpected added expense of $500.00. I allowed his guys to use my balcony to cut tile. Big mistake, the balcony door was left ajar for electricity and the wind blew the grains into the living area all over my carpet, leather furniture, coffee/end table, kitchen, etc. it was a mess. After telling him it couldn't happen again, he did it again. I made his guys dust, wipe, vacuum, and mop everything before leaving. It was disrespectful. His work was okay but the detail is lacking. He had to return to put more silicone to stabilize the shower faucet.

These guys installed my kit hen cabinets but also ruined about $1500 worth of cabinet trim. Crown molding was looking terrible and while doing it he put some nails through the face of cabinets. He used a flooring nailer with nails that were way too long. Cracked an island side panel and shoe molding. Island isn’t square by about an inch. There is a section of flooring in the kitchen that is popping up. The tile work in the downstairs bathroom is a joke. He offered to re-do it but given the amount of frustration with their work, I just asked them to leave. They were supposed to do a master bathroom as well. No thank you. Drywall patches were noticeable and not well sanded. Basically the guys can rough things out but their finishes are sub par. It also takes them forever to do anything given the high amount of rework.

Went well. Crew showed up on time daily ready to work and finish on pace. Very happy with the work done. Carlos made sure to inspect the work and follow up and fix anything that wasn’t working. I appreciate the attention to detail and I would hire him again.
