Tom stopped by on time, and even waited and called up when we didn't respond (the doorbell is broken, apparently). He worked efficiently and we were happy with the work done.

He came out when he was needed. He did a good job. He was prompt, professional and knew what he was doing.

Tom is extremely dependable and does great reliable work. Highly recommended!

First, it was very easy to get an appointment. I thought that I might have to wait a week but I had an appointment within a day. Tom called before coming over and he was very prompt. I decided to go with stronger deadbolts so he had to order them first. He did so and then he came by a second time and installed the deadbolts and did the rest of the work. He was prompt and professional. He only charged me for one service call ($50). He also finished the job on a Sunday which is helpful because I work during the week. I'm very pleased and will use him again if I need a locksmith.

Tom came a few minutes early on a snowy Saturday and replaced an old doorknob that was bad. Good quick job.

Arrived on time. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Pricing was very reasonable.

Tom (I think it was him) actually answered his phone right away and came out to my house on the same day. He oiled one lock so it worked better. On the second, he moved the strike plate for the knob lock and oiled the lock. He was here and gone in 20 minutes and everything is working great.

I contacted Tom at Tom's Locksmiths two weeks before I was to move into my new house. Tom returned my call immediately and scheduled an appointment to give me an estimate on possibly replacing up to 4 locks on different doors. He arrived exactly on time and spent about half an hour looking at the locks and recommending suitable replacements. Two of the doors were not suitable for putting new locks on, since one was in need of replacing (which he discussed, taking measurements and noting the odd size of the door and that an electrical cable might need to be moved in the process), and the other was not suitable as an exterior door. So I chose to have only 2 locks replaced. Tom arrived about 15 min. early for his appointment and succeeded in replacing the 2 locks in about an hour. He also replaced some of the screws holding one of the doors in, as the original screws were too short for good security. He was able to install both locks using the same keys and even put in a security plate.

Tom corrected the door handle stress and oiled the various locks. He then inspected the door and realized the root cause of the problem was that a portion of the weather stripping was set too far into the door, causing us to force the door to close and apply too much pressure on the handles and the locks. He reset the strip (it is still functioning appropriately) and then tested each lock over again and again. The result of that carefully testing showed that our deadbolt needed to be shimmed out slightly and also it was missing three of the standard five screws (who knew?). Tom installed the shim and put the piece back with all and longer screws. Now the door is no problem, closes smoothly and the alarm system is fully functional.

Tom is awesome. All the reports are right on. He is great about getting back to you and his prices beat the competition. I have full confidence in Tom, he took a lot of time to explain the job. Plus, he works fast.

Tom was great. He called us to ask if we could change the appointment that we had set up. He then came out the next afternoon. We had just moved into our house a week earlier and wanted all of the exterior locks changed. He was here about and hour and changed them all. He also made us 6 keys. He was quick, considerate and efficient. I would use him again for other locksmith needs in the future.

Tom was prompt and professional. He re-keyed old style deadbolt locks and two mortise locks in our rental unit.

He was efficient and tidy and everything works flawlessly. He was a great worker, very knowledgeable and his pricing was very fair.

Tom was very punctual, professional, and obviously knew exactly what he was doing. I originally called a locksmith because I I figured I had one shot at the steel door frame and did not want to mess it up. Glad I went with a professional. It's hard to judge price without much for comparison. I did call around a bit and got a few quotes for the same project, and most were slightly higher than Tom. Tom asked if I would e-mail pictures of the current setup, and he was very quick in e-mailing me photos of the parts. This helped planning quite a bit. Medeco is expensive and probably overkill for the front door of a city condo building, but when you're appeasing a mother-in-law, it's worth it.

I called Tom yesterday, and we had the appointment today. Tom arrived on time. He was very pleasant. He focused on the job entirely and figured things out so quickly. He's really a pleasure to work with.

Tom was fantastic. He came out for the original service call to give us an estimate and waited for me that night as the el was running slow. He recommend a heavy duty lock that was cheaper than a quote I received from another locksmith for a similar item. Due to the door being very old Tom actually made a plate we had to use as it was an odd length and in the end the lock looks and works great. A+++ all the way around.

He was willing to come out the same day. He was prompt and had to come back and fix one of the locks and did so at no charge.

Tom came out the afternoon I called, did the work in a quick amount of time and was very reasonably priced.

Good. Tom came out the day after I called him. He was on time, called to let me know he was on his way. I told him what I wanted, he gave me a couple options at different price points, and he got right to work. He was done in less than half an hour and the price was less than I expected it to be.

For what he did, he was great. He came out within a half an hour of being called. I would use them again in the future.

It went excellently. We had had problems with the front door(s) not always closing and with having to "jiggle" the keys sometimes to get them to work. In addition, we had had an attempted break-in through the back doors and wanted security advice. I saw that Tom had good ratings and reviews in Angie's List, so I called him 7/23 and he came out to our condo building the next morning. He looked over everything, told me my options and made suggestions. He explained things clearly without pushing any particular solution onto us. Once I told him what to go ahead with, he did the work promptly and well. Now our front door doesn't slam, it closes all the way, and the keys fit smoothly in the locks. Also, the back door's deadbolt works just fine now. Tom seemed very knowledgeable and I trusted him right away. He did a great job and was great to work with.

My husband and I just moved into a new construction home. Naturally we wanted to move forward quickly and replace the locks for better protection and security. I contacted Tom regarding setting up an appointment to complete the work we needed. I left Tom a message and he responded immediately. He was very kind and soft-spoken. He told me that he could find a way to protect my powder window when others told me that couldn't do anything with windows. He was terrific from the beginning. Then he came to our home and we realized that the finish he had did not match our decor. Tom called several places for us right there and within 15 minutes found our hardware in NY and had it shipped overnight. We covered the cost of this but we did not care. He was out the next morning at 9 am to complete the work. He didn't take a check until he returned the next day. I think that Tom is one of the individuals that I have enjoyed working with the most through this process. He is wonderful!!

Tom the owner of the company was very pleasant and professional. He did an excellent job in replacing all the door locks, installed 1 dead-bolt and this is the second time I called him back to do the work.
