The owner of Tavos Painting, Gustavo did most of the painting in our house. He is a hard working professional that was able to complete the painting project within the quoted 4.5 days. Most of the repairs were minor ones and included removing nails and filling holes. The repairs in the master bath were a little more extensive. Because the prior owner didn't use the correct paint in this room, moisture caused the tape and drywall compound in a 2 foot section above the bathtub to separate from the ceiling. Gustavo cleaned up this area, replaced the tape and applied new drywall compound before painting the ceiling with a more appropriate moisture resistant paint on all bathroom ceilings. As for the painting, the ceilings and walls were thoroughly covered removing all evidence of the prior paint colors. We were most concerned about how well the painter would do in finishing the edging between the walls, the ceiling and the wood molding. Gustavo did a great job. His abilities to paint were equally matched by his concern that we approved of the final product.

Gustavo is an excellent painter. We have a different color in each room and at one separation of rooms, we asked him to paint white. The edges are smooth and the colors did not smear off on other walls. He left the house neat and tidy every day when he left. Will definitely use him again when it's time to paint the upstairs bedrooms and the basement. 5 stars to Gustavo and his work.

In need of a professional painter/drywall installer ? Then look elsewhere. This guy shouldn't be posing as a professional but as an amateur/intern who is willing to work for pizza and beer. Unprofessional: He inadequately prepped the walls and inadequately protected other surfaces from unwanted paint. I discovered that he dugout floor grout instead of using paint remover. Bait and Switch: agreed to all my requests to get the job and later got amnesia. Sloppy Work: painted over surfaces with glaring holes and rough surfaces. I had to point out to him several times many areas that needed to be fixed. I'm still finding mistakes. I could say more but I've said enough that should clearly paint the picture that customers shouldn't entrust their property to this guy. On the surface, he's nice but beware. You've been warned!

Gustavo was punctual, professional, detail oriented and thorough. Was fairly priced and performed an outstanding job. Left the the site clean and addressed all of my concerns and follow up work. Would absolutely use again.

Painters who worked in my apartment were very respectful, friendly and the most important responsible. When they set up the date and time, they were there with not excuses. Also, they did not leave any mark of their work. They cleaned up all what they had done.
