Everything went great. They were able to complete all of this work in one day. The owner, Dan Lundstedt, was on site working and supervising the crew. The results were fantastic and it was less expensive than replacing the sinks and marble in my house. My guest bath especially had a lot of marble that became dulled over time with use. It all is shiny and helped improve the appearance of the room. Also, the cleaning and sealing of the tile in my master bath restored the tile to its original condition after 8 years of use. What most impressed me was Dan checking in after about a month to see how the work was holding up. I mentioned that there was one area that needed some touch up, and he sent someone within two weeks at no charge to take care of it. I would definitely recommend Sir Grout for their work and quality.

We had just purchased our home in Woodlawn and the master shower had a leak that was damaging the dinning room ceiling. We had a plumber come out to inspect and he traced the problem to cracks in the shower's grout work. Sir Grout came out and confirmed the issue and completed the grout work. The technicians were very professional and timely. They completed the grout work and made sure that we were happy with the outcome. About a week or so after the work the sales person called us to confirm that we were happy with the work. About 2 weeks after the work was completed the company owner, Dan, emailed us to ensure that we were still happy with our results. I appreciate the work and the above and beyond follow-up from Sir Grout. I highly recommend Sir Grout for your needs and will use them again in the future.

Eddie & Dominick arrived on time and immediately commenced the work. They were very capable and willing to explain the entire process to my understanding. The work progressed efficiently and professionally and was completed in the quoted time frame. They advised that the shower could not be used for 48 to 72 hours to allow for the sealant to properly cure. Work area was left clean. I was completely satisfied with the job.

Overall I was extremely pleased. When I initially submitted an inquiry the sales team was extremely responsive, they called back the same day, and they answered all of my questions in detail. On the day of the service the technician, Trevon, was extremely helpful in explaining what type of caulk was used before and he explained to be basic tips to preserve the health of the caulk. He was professional, quick but thorough. He had a wonderful personality and was a great frontline man to represent any company. I would recommend Sir Grout without fail. My service date was two months ago and the bathtub looks like it was done today!

Great organization to work with. The owner takes a lot of pride in the work that his business does and is very much a hands on person to work with. I've used them twice and won't hesitate to contact them again if a need arises. The first time we used them, the tile on our front stairs was a mess. I used another contractor who did not know what he was doing, made a bigger mess of things, and had every excuse in the world why it wasn't working out. Dan came out and looked at my situation--no drama about my building (circa 1904, gut rehabbed in 1978 from a burnout) the project or what my expectations were. His crew showed up and was punctual and worked without the need to regularly check on them. There were a few issues that arose, I brought them to Dan's attention and they were handled immediately. My second time to use them, we had them clean and reseal tile inside our entrances. There were a few cracks that had popped up in the work they had done earlier and they took care of them under warranty at the same time our job was done.

This is an absolutely great company. Dan Lundstedt, who I understand to be the owner of this small business, was outstanding in every way. He came to our home promptly after I called for a quote to give us an estimate, fully explained all of our options, and answered all of our questions. The quoted price was very reasonable, eliminating the need for us to shop around for other estimates. He knows all there is to know about grout and grout work. (Who would have thought there is so much to consider?) The service person showed up right on time to do the job, and Dan personally stopped by to inspect the work. The work was done professionally, quickly and well. After the work was done, we concluded that we should have ordered the color seal option as Dan had originally suggested (but we declined). We called Dan and, in a matter of days, he personally came by to do the work. Best of all, he only charged us the same price he originally had quoted for this optional work, even though he now had to make an additional trip. He did this specifically because he is completely client-satisfaction focused. Overall, this was a great experience from a small company that places customer service above all else. I recommend them highly.

Excellent customer service and very good quality work. I have used Sir Grout three or four times now and find Dan Lundstedt and his crews to be highly competent and professional. The process usually starts with Dan or a colleague showing up to scope and estimate the job. He is careful to explain the subjobs and the possible options (types of sealants, colors, types of grout, etc.), and his written bids are very detailed and show the prices of the various parts of the job and the associated options. Once the work is scheduled (and this recent work required multiple visits over the course of a week or so), the crew is punctual and very business-like. Dan himself often shows up to supervise and lend a hand. (He seems intimately familiar with all of the services he sells.) At the conclusion, Dan walks through the job with you and points out all the work that has been done. If something is wrong, they fix it right there. And if you find something deficient a few days or weeks later, Dan makes sure to correct it and see that you're satisfied with the work. He even follows up by email a couple of months later to see if there have been any problems. He really seems to understand that his is a service business and that customer satisfaction is the key to success. Really excellent customer service, and very good quality work.

it went really well. there were a couple things that didnt go as planned but they came back and fixed those problems.

I think the bathroom looks good, and I am pleased with the work as of right now. The work was just completed today so only time will tell. They showed up on time and did exactly what they said they would do so hopefully after we do use the tub and shower everything will be fine.

I should have known this was going to be a trying experience when it took one email, one voice mail and one final call just to get in touch with this company. I scheduled my initial consultation with Ann. She cancelled the day of the appt. because another appt. in the area cancelled. Strike two. She should have kept her appt. with us regardless of the fact her other appt. cancelled. We rescheduled for a new day and she was a few hours late. It should have been strike three, but I met with her anyway. Ann took at look at our floors, calculated a square footage and gave me a quote of about $1,600 to clean and stain floor grout. She told me TWO technicians would be out to the house for approximately 8 hours. Based on this, I found the quote to be reasonable and I did not shop around. Big mistake. Come the day of the cleaning, only one technician showed up. I asked the tech. if another guy was coming and the tech told me the other guy called in sick, but that he would be able to finish. I called Ann to tell her only one guy came to do the work and she told me that sometimes based on the experience of the technician, the schedulers only schedule one person. Um, no....They actually scheduled TWO techs. but 4 hours before the job started, the guy called in sick. Ann gave me some lame explanation that the quote is based on the job, not the man hours. I basically paid Sir Grout the equivalent of $200/hr to do the job. Not a bad profit for Sir Grout considering they probably paid the guy $20/hr. salary. (this is just totally my guess). It should be noted that the tech. was the most professional person I dealt with at this company. The grout came out looking good, but I wonder how much the tech. had to rush to get the job done. Who knows how well the grout was cleaned, as I was not home for the 7 hours he worked. Basically, I feel totally ripped off. I should have walked away at strike one. UPDATE******Within a day of my review, the owner, Dan, reached out to me with a very sincere and professional email to resolve my negative experience. We spoke on the phone and I proposed a partial refund to me and a small bonus to the tech and Dan agreed with my proposal with no haggling. I believe my initial experience with this company was an anomaly and that as most of the reviews on Angie's List indicate, this is a company worth doing business with for your re-grouting needs. Thanks, Dan! Now instead of feeling ripped off, I feel satisfied!******

A woman came out first to give me an estimate and explain the process. She was prompt although stayed a little too long admiring things in my house. I had to tell her I had another appointment to move her along. Her estimate was what was used for the job. $1347 with Angie's List 10% discount. $300 down. The two young men who came called me to tell me they were going to be a little late - 9 instead of 8:30. That was actually when estimator had told me they were coming so that worked well. Regrout and remove existing grout- cleaning and sanitizing and sealing slate. Regrout, caulk tub and shower and floor perimeter in front of tubs. They worked from 9 to 3:30 or 4 without a break. Quiet and excellent work ethic. I am very pleased with the work. Cleaned up after themselves. It was not like getting rugs cleaned with hose coming into house or anything. Worked without smelly chemicals or vacuuming noise. Took three days for bathroom grout to dry so we had to shower somewhere else but it looks like new. I had someone from another place clean grout about five years ago and this looks so much better. Bathrooms look new.

Ann came and did an analysis of the shower. Filled out a detailed invoice. Chris showed up a couple weeks later and did every thing to perfection. No extra cost, just perfect.

I recently moved into a condo and was looking to find a provider to clean, caulk, and seal the master bathoom (shower, floor, and sinks). I did a lot of searching on Angie's list and Sir Grout seemed to have the best reviews. I wanted to get the job done right so I called Sir Grout about an estimate. A representative came out within the week and estimated the work to be done in the bathroom and described the services to be performed. I decided to have the work performed by Sir Grout. On the date of the service (Saturday), the technician arrived on time and started the work promptly. After he was finished, we briefly inspected the bathroom and the work appeared to have been completed according to the original estimate. However, later in the day after a more detailed inspection, I discovered that the caulking around the sink was not performed, the bathtub was left dirty, and some caulking performed in the shower was not correctly applied. I called the office that same day and the office told me that it was too late in the day to send the technician over that day but that someone would call me first thing Monday morning to set up an appointment. However, no one called me back on Monday and I had to call the office to remind them about my service. Someone from the office eventually called that Monday afternoon and apologized for the inconvenience and that a technician would be at my condo the next day.The technician arrived timely the next day and I pointed out the sinks and dirty shower. He caulked the sink and cleaned up the shower, however, the cleaning was real fast and there were still dirty spots. Overall, the level of service provided by Sir Grout was poor. Additionally, the amount they charged for the services provided is very high. After the service, the bathroom didn't look that much better and there are still caulking spots in the shower that could have been done better. I will not use this provider again.

We chose this company based on the many excellent reviews here on Angie's List. Were frustrated at having to wait two weeks for an estimate but wanted the job done right. After the estimate, it took another three weeks to schedule the work. When the workers arrived, they immediately told us that the work would cost more than estimated. I should have thrown them out or called the owner, but at this point we had been without the use of our shower for over a month and were desperate to have the work done. Six months later, the crack has completely opened up again and we are again without the use of our shower, and face having to pay to have the same job done again. Based on other reviews, it seems that when the owner is overseeing things, people are very happy with their work. Unfortunately we were among the unlucky ones. UPDATE: Less than 24 hours after posting this review, we received a call from Sir Grout that someone would be out the following day to repair the tile. The customer service rep we spoke with indicated that during the time of our service they had been having difficulty with employees being dishonest. The technician, Trey, arrived at our house in the late afternoon on Saturday - he was very professional and knowledgeable about the work that needed to be done. He pointed out (correctly) flaws with the original installation of the shower tiles, which we knew was the cause of the original problem, but I greatly appreciated that he did not try to explain away or make any excuses for the shoddy work done by the original Sir Grout workers. He repaired all the defective work done by the previous technicians, and left the bathroom perfectly clean and looking like new. Had this been our first experience with the company we would absolutely have rated them an A. I have no reason to believe this work will not hold up over time. I hope others that have had bad experiences with this company will give them a chance to make it right.

It took a few tries but in the end I'm very pleased with the final result of my shower. They matched the color of the calk perfectly and my shower looks great.

The people seem very dedicated to grout. They were good, professional and they like their business. One should make sure to have a good idea about the quote. They were here on time.

We never liked staying on the first floor due to the dirty grout lines. After they are done with cleaning and changing the color of the grout lines, the room feels clean and welcoming. The two young men were nice and did a good job.

A couple of Sir Grout workers showed up on time and stayed for several hours. They were courteous and professional workers. A few days later, I called Sir Grout to have someone come back and fix a few spots they missed the first time. No problem at all with scheduling the follow-up and the second worker was also polite and professional. Overall, the job is fine but too expensive.

From the initial estimate to the finish of the job -- Sir Grout was really great. Ann Pozdol came out one evening to do the estimate and she was very knowledgable and helpful. She gave an honest assessment of what needed to be done. The grout on our main bathroom floor had come up and the caulking in the shower was completely cracked -- also mold was in the grout of the shower/bath walls. The price seemed a little high to me, but I have never had work like this done. I did some research and it looks like the price was pretty standard. Also, it is under warranty for a year so that is great. Eddie came out and did the work with another man. Both were very polite and professional and the bathroom looked really great afterwards. They really took the time to make sure the grout was the right color and match. The caulking sagged slightly after 24 hours and I called Sir Grout and they came out and fixed it. Eddie was very helpful and even had a lot of tips for taking care of my file in the future. It was an education in addition to lovely work getting done. I would definitely hire them again.

Project 1: came out beautifully, looks great Project 2: the floor is 60 years old and we didn't expect miracles. It looks better and we're satisfied with Sir Grout's efforts. Project 3: the workers tried very hard to improve the look of this floor, but it is at least 40 years old and the results were not what we hoped for. Had the workers, rather than the salesperson, evaluated the job and pointed out what could and could not be "fixed" we probably would not have spent the money, as the bulk of the cost was for this part of the work. The grout is now uniformly dark instead of part dark and part light, but we were hoping for a lighter look. Everyone from the company was polite and professional and on time. The workers did their best. We just don't think we got our money's worth for how Project 3 turned out.

Great! They arrived when they said they would. Did the work very professionally and in a timely manner. They cleaned up nicely behind themselves. A few days after they finished, my wife and I noticed that the foyer floor was not as highly polished as previously. When I brought it to Dans' attention he explained they typically polish marble to about 80% of it's luster unless the customer asks for it to be very highly polished. We did want it highly polished. Within a couple of days Dan sent Alex out who polished it up to our satisfaction. There was no additional charge. While I wish we did not have to have the extra service call, in my opinion, it is instructive in how Dan handles customer service and misunderstandings. He is the kind of person I prefer to do business with. I cannot too highly recommend Dan, the owner and Alex, the tech.

Dan Lundstedt and his team from Sir Grout did an excellent job. He stopped by personally to inspect our master bath and discuss our needs, then prepared a timely quote for our review. He confirmed the service date in advance, and his tech provided the service on the planned date. The tech did great work and a great cleanup within the planned time, and also ensured that we were satisfied before leaving. We are very pleased with how everything looked and have been very pleased with the results to date. Dan also followed up with us personally after the work was completed, to ensure that we were satisfied. All in all, a very good/easy experience.

I was surprised when one man arrived to do the job. I thought the job was a lot of square footage for one person to handle. (I can't remember the young man's name.) Anyway he went right to work and by early afternoon my floors looked like new. I'm going to have them clean the grout in the MBR and replace some tiles (once I find them.) Sir Grout did a fantastic job. I highly recommend them.
