The work was performed in a professional manner and we are satisfied with the results.

Everything went extremely well. I called a total of 4 companies from Angie's list. The first two companies never called me back. The third company came back with an outrageous estimate. Then I called Arcadia Painting Plus and met with Sherry. Sherry was very pleasant, explained exactly what would be done, told me that she would try and schedule the work ASAP. Her prices were extremely reasonable. I was very impressed that Sherry and her crew came out shortly as promised. Sherry and her crew were very efficient. Sherry took her time to make sure that we were completely satisfied with her work. The exterior of our house looks 100% better. I would definitely hire Arcadia Painting Plus again. I am now planning on getting the interior of my house painted by Arcadia Painting Plus in the the next couple of months. Thanks Sherry for all of your hard work.

Sheery Lancaster, owner, came out to our home in Glen Ellyn Illinois and gave us a quote to scrape, glaze, sand and paint the windows on our bungalow. We decided to restore our wooden windows; original windows; rather than replace them with vinyl windows which we hate. Trevor and his crew showed up early this morning and began work. They removed the old storm windows and began work. These three men were very detail oriented and did a superb job. They were very meticulous and the windows look like new. They cleaned the windows when finished and I could not have asked for a better job. I would not hesitate to recommend them again. Thanks Sherry.

I had been emailing the company about the color paint. They did not show up for the estimate the first time. I got a response back that she was sick. She did eventually came for the estimate and left. The following Wednesday come and went for the scheduled work. She did show. I contacted Angie's List, but still no response back from her or calling to canceling from her business. The bottom line was that I could not count on her to be here, so what type of work would she provide. I was very disappointed because I was looking forward to having this work done.

Exterior house painting appears to be good overall but deck painting is questionable since it probably should have been stained vs. the painting, which Sherry recommended. However, the crew did an excellent job, very professional and neat. Price was on the high side and there is still some work to be completed to which Sherry has not responded. Because of that, I feel my grading is incomplete until such time as the promised work is completed. I've waited several weeks for Sherry to return and conclude the work she promised. P.S. Still no contact from Sherry Lancaster since, so am now submitting same for your review. Seems like once I paid for her services, she's chosen to ignore the completion of the work. There were also some items that were not expressed in the written contract such as power washing an area where she removed and took my Hot Tub, in agreement for reducing the "labor" on refinishing the deck. As I am a retired, widowed, 77 year old senior citizen I trusted her to complete the work which we agreed upon but was not addressed in the contract. My fault and in the future will insist on full details to be contained in contract and not to trust anyone!!

We saw the coupon on Angie's List and the bid was much lower than other painting bids we had received. The work was to begin July 13th but due to Arcadia being busy they were not able to come out until August 10th. This did not bother me in the least as we were not in a hurry. Whenever, I called Sherry (owner of Arcadia) she most times would pick up the phone or return my message. I found her quite professional and nice to deal with. I felt she would have been willing to accommodate us if we were in a hurry. A couple of times Sherry did not call or arrive when she said she would. That is why I am rating the punctuality a B. The painters who came to our home with very professional, hard working and did an exceptional job. Absolutely no complaints regarding the quality of the work done. The only real glitch is the contract needs to be more specific regarding the number of coats of paint, colors, areas etc.., However, to Sherry's credit she wanted to make sure we were happy at the end of the job. Jobs never go perfectly but I find that the professionals that I want to do business with in the future care about whether or not they are doing a good job and whether or not the client is happy. I believe that Sherry and her team of painters care. Overall I am quite happy. Arcadia seems to be a growing business with lots of jobs. I wish them well and would use them in the future.

Based upon the exceptional rating on Angie's list, I contacted Arcadia Painting to discuss having my home's exterior painted. I talked to Sherry on a Monday and we set up an appointment for her to review the project with me and to provide an estimate. The first appointment was for a two hour window on the following Saturday. Saturday came and no one showed up. About an hour later, Sherry called to apologize and said she wasn't going to be able to make it on Saturday. We set-up another appointment for the following Monday and once again no one showed up. This time I didn't even get a call that she wouldn't be able to make it. Completely unprofessional and unacceptable. I wasted at least 5-6 hours of my time waiting for her. Regardless of the previous positive ratings she has received, I certaintly cannot recommend this company based upon my experience.

The owner, Sherry, contacted me right after I purchased the deal to set up an appointment to estimate. She was on time for the appointment and was very professional. She was honest about the condition of the house and the amount of work that would need to be done. Sherry and her crew were very professional while the work was being done as well as in general. Sherry maintained contact with me during the job itself and was there at the end of each day. The work was very high quality. She actually recommended that a second coat be applied to the trim for the best results. I was very happy with the final results. The work was very high quality. I inspected the work with Sherry when it was finished and am even more pleased now. You always think that after a big job like this you will later notice something wrong. I haven't found anything. The work is perfect. I would recommend Arcadia Painting and will consider them for future work at my own house. Sherry and her team did a great job.

I contacted Arcadia Painting Plus mostly because of the positive reviews on Angie's list, and was looking forward to this project. We scheduled an initial meeting to go over the project and get a quote. The day of the scheduled meeting came, and I recieved a phone call letting me know that Arcadia Painting Plus would not be able to make the appointment. I rearranged my schedule at work to be able to make this meeting, but I was willing to see this through. We rescheduled for the next week. That day came and again, I received a phone call (on voice mail) letting me know that they would not be able to make the appointment. I did not call back. I understand that that companies get busy with work, but in the future I would suggest scheduling appointments for slow days. Even if that meeting has to be scheduled for 2 or 3 weeks away, it would have been preferable. Having rearranged my schedule twice (work, kids), only to be put off, twice, has unfortunately turned me off to Arcadia Painting Plus.

I had an excellent experience with Arcadia Painting Plus from beginning to end, I found the coupon to be very reasonable so I purchased it on sight. I called the owner and she called me back. Sherry called me back each and every time to let me know they were going to come out to measure and give me an exact idea what the square footage would be to cover the $1299 and anything additional that I wished to add. I thought that was very professional on their part. When she came she was very kind and proceeded to go about measuring everything, It turned out that I had more square footage to paint than I thought. We drew up a contract to only do up to the $1299 amount of area. She was willing to accommodate me with time and try to fit me in a little earlier even. I was so pleased with her! A few days later I ran into an old friend of mine who was out of work and asked me if I had anything I could do to help him out, paint jobs, handyman work, etc. I hated to do this to Sherry, but I had to help out my friend. So I called Sherry and she was amazing!! She immediately said: "No problem. Call Angies List and let them know I agreed to cancel the coupon." I am so pleased to write this up as a wonderful report on Arcadia Painting Plus because not too many contractors provide such a positive attitude when a customer is willing to bow out of a contract. Kudos to Arcadia Painting Plus and to Sherry!!!!!! More customers should be aware of how professional she is!!!!!!!!

I found Arcadia via a coupon offer through Angie's list. Sherrie was able to come out within a couple of days to provide us with a quote (this was in March 2012) and took some money off the total cost if we signed the contract that day (which we did). She came out in mid June and the entire job took about 1.5 days to complete and the crew worked extremely clean. Sherrie was receptive when we pointed out spots needing to be touched up, which I am sure she had already planned to take care of. They worked on our house from 8AM until it was too dark to see and then came back to finish up the next day (half-day). We liked Sherrie's work so much we plan to have her back for another project sometime in Sept/Oct 2012.

They came when they said they would and since the weather was very hot, it took 5 days to finish instead of estimated 3. We were out of town so this did not matter in any way. They were neat and cleaned up the scrapings and the paint job was very good, including all caulking and power washing. We did a walk thru and all was exactly as described. A great job!

End result looked great and Sherry was extremely easy to work with. When the crew saw something that needed to be done, they did it, so the results would be perfect!

Sherry and her crew were a joy to work with. The quality of the work was excellent and last minute changes were accommodated without fuss. Work started pretty much on time, the crew were neat, clean and tidied up after themselves every night before leaving. I would definitely use Arcadia again.

URGENT UPDATE; THE ENTIRE HOUSE AND DETACHED GARAGE ARE PEELING AND ARE UNSIGHTLY! WE ARE DISGUSTED! Original review: Sherry and her crew arrived early on Monday and worked all day scraping the peeling paint from our old aluminum siding. She told us that the former owner of the house used the wrong paint and that's why it was peeling. Day one entailed a lot of prep work. Over the next four days she and her crew worked feverishly from early morning until late afternoon painting the house from top to bottom; the siding, trim, windows, gutters, etc. Everybody was polite, pleasant and efficient.. Each day they cleaned up beautifully. Sherry, the owner of the company, constantly checked in with us about how we wanted things done. Anything we wanted was fine. The end result is gorgeous. Our house looked old, tired and faded, and now it looks just beautiful! We could not be any happier with the end result. We highly recommend Arcadia Painting Plus.

The painting went smoothly but due to rain was stretched into a 2-day job. The house looks really good now. The owner of the company, Sherry Lancaster, was really nice and responsive. She is great to work with and I would highly recommend her company.

It was great - everything went smoothly and as well as i could have hoped for. Sherry's was actually the first and only quote we got for the work, but we felt comfortable with the price and particularly with the fact that she would be on the job doing the work.They completed all of the work in 2+ days - a couple of hours for pressure washing, and 2 days for painting.Painting/staining the siding/fascia/soffit, etc all turned out nice - clean lines, and no sign of the dirt/grime that was there prior to the re-staining.However, to me, the work that stood out most was she did on the garage door. We have this cedar 2-car garage door which looked really old and weathered, and had a bunch of cracks in it. We were debating replacing it with a new steel door, but decided to have it caulked/primed/painted instead. Sherry replaced the old weatherstripping, caulked the cracks, and painted the garage in 2-tone - using a satin paint with colors that matched the siding and trim, and must have put about 5 coats on.The result is awesome - nice and clean and really makes a difference in the curb appeal of the house. Would definitely recommend Sherry and her team to others.

We would have no hesitation in hiring Sherry again. The results were excellent. This is a high end paint job, so if you want someone to paint the basement for $25, this is not the company to use. We got several painters to quote and checked references on all of them. Sherry's pre-discount price matched our second choice painter, but his bid included a single coat of paint on the walls (vs her 2 coats on all walls), with the exception of 2 rooms where he quoted 2 coats. Having seen the rest of the rooms after a single coat, we would not have been happy if that had been the end of the job. Sherry's honesty up front with what was required was very helpful. She did not charge extra for moving furniture (the others did) and she is coming back to touch up after our carpet is installed at no extra charge. The other painters would all have charged for the touch ups. While the overall cost was significant, we consider her services were excellent value when the total cost of the job was included and the delivered quality was considered. I can't give anyone an A on price when we're talking these kinds of costs, in the same way as you never feel you're paid enough in the office. The price was very reasonable for the work done. They showed up on the agreed start date at the agreed time. At the end of each day, Sherry would check our satisfaction with progress, and give us an idea which areas she was targeting for the next day. The cut lines at ceilings and round beams were really well done, and far more professionally done than the cut lines on a house done by the other painter. The team was cheerful in the house, and very respectful. They asked if it was okay for them to turn on music, and turned it off when I had a friend visit one day while they were there. They worked full days, and usually finished somewhere between 5 and 6pm. They checked with us if it was okay for them to work for that length of time, and made sure it wouldn't interfere with our plans. I left Sherry and the team alone in the house several times, and had no concerns with doing so. They cleaned up after themselves, and each night, made sure they had left areas available to us that we wanted to use that evening. That included removing plastic from the furniture, vacuuming if required, and moving furniture. Sherry's prime concern was to make sure we were happy with the results, and she kept working until we were completely satisfied. Our home is older, and the drywall job from the previous owner was terrible. There were several areas that Sherry painted and patched multiple times to get the quality she expected of herself. We had one bedroom that had over 1000 patches on the ceiling and walls as it was in such bad shape, but it looks magnificent now. If you want a high quality job, this is a great company to work with.

I had to postpone my original appointment due to some personal issues and Sherry was very cooperative with that. There was a lot of patching that had to be done and that put the job over the original time discussed and cost me more than I had anticipated. Sherry pointed out areas of concern and certain issues and advised what needed to be done. She and her crew moved some furniture for me, cleaned up and did a good job. I will use them again and would recommend them.

this company is suppose to be the top painters in the area. they are on top only because their name starts with an "A". they are suppose to be professionals but results are like amateurs. walls in the bathroom, walls in the dining room, the bedroom walls, all walls in the stairwell area, almost every wall that was painted the previous paint is showing through.

Bottom line: I recommend her to anyone and everyone. The work is awesome and her demeanor is infallible!!
