David was very thorough in his work. He examined every lock with care and seemed to do whatever possible to ensure that our locks were left secure when he was done, even though it required him staying late. He explained everything he did very well, I would feel very comfortable recommending him.

We were panicked since we locked some important items in the car along with the car keys. Called three places that popped up on top of the Google search page and felt that all of them were dispatched, very suspicious. Whenever the technician called back, they gave a vague quote and seemed very sketchy. It was alarming enough that we refused to give out our address and told them we found someone else. Thank goodness we did find a reliable, honest locksmith on Angie's LIst! David Wilson is the owner at Bluebird Locksmith. He is very informative and professional. Even just speaking with him over the phone gave us so much reassurance. He is very honest and willing to help. He asked all the right questions and gave us all the options available for our situation. Dave unlocked our vehicle for us in a timely fashion, and was extremely patient and personable. It felt like talking to a friend we've known for years, who just happened to know how to work on locks! We were so impressed with his service and demeanor, we asked if he could come back and replace a jammed door in our house (Yes, we installed a cheap keyed door knob from HomeDepot ourselves because we are renting...please don't make the same mistake!) Boy, were we impressed when Dave suggested a different door knob that he could install right on the spot! Within 20 minutes, we have a professionally installed locked door in our home. All this incredible customer service and trustworthy professional installation, at an extremely fair price. We are not big on writing reviews, especially such a lengthy one, but Dave from Bluebird Locksmith deserves a medal for his excellent service and credible reputation!

David was very responsive at all times. He not only completed the work we originally messages about, but also replaced a lock on another door in which we had experienced problem in the past.

David did a great job on all the locks, and even through in an extra pass-through for free. He stuck to his initial quote even after working for an additional 3 hours he hadn't accounted for (a total of 7+ hours on-site, and on a Saturday no less), and even through in an extra passthrough for free. Although he didn't bring his own equipment for cleanup, he offered to clean the floor by literally wiping it down by hand with paper towels and cleaner to make up for it. He spent extra time talking about general home security measures and practices, and patiently answered all my questions about his products and services. He did a fantastic job with the locks, and offered to provide a lifetime guarantee on his work, including readjusting the locks after I have a carpenter come out to adjust the fit of the doors (which aren't all fitted right). Quality guy, stands by the quality of his work.

Double thumbs up. I'd been having untold issues with front door lock, replaced it numerous times, consulted with two locksmiths and it still didn't work. Called up Bluebird and talked to the owner, Dave Wilson. He listened to all I had to say, offered to come out late the same evening. I said he could certainly wait another day for a reasonable time for him and his business. He asked me to send pictures so he could get an idea of the problem. He came out personally the next day, saying it sounded complicated and while his techs are highly trained and do excellent work, he wanted to see the setup for himself. He then researched alternative lock sets, asked me about the family's usage of the door, desired longevity for the lock system, budget, etc. He installed lock, deadbolt, counseled me on better lock for another door and installed a new deadbolt and lockset there. He rekeyed everything. Gave advice about security and things to look for in locks and quality. 24/7 service.

Bluebird was very responsive and accommodating. First Joe came to change locks at my home. He was on time, professional, and got the work done quickly. Today (Sunday of a holiday weekend) I learned that my friend needed her locks changed quickly due to a domestic situation. She is not an Angie's List member, but Dave was so wonderful, not only going out today, but also agreeing to honor his rates for a friend in a tricky situation. I have already asked them about other future work, and would recommend to others.

I was impressed with the good reviews for Bluebird Locksmith here on Angie's List, and because I have used this list in the past for other services with good result, I decided to go ahead with this company if the price seemed reasonable. David was very responsive from the moment I contacted Bluebird through completion of our project. Whether it was to set up appointments or to keep us up to date on the status of ordered parts, we never felt a lack of communication. After talking with David and describing what we wanted, he came out to take a look at our door to see what was needed, and he was very conscientious about selecting good quality fixtures that would match the overall condo hardware as best as a replacement piece could. He even suggested I call the management office to verify that what we intended to have installed would be acceptable. His attention to these types of details was much appreciated, because sometimes people forget that there are requirements to be met in condo living. We had to wait some days for the correct parts to come in from the distributor, but once they did, David arrived on time on the agreed date and did the installations quickly and efficiently. He gave us a discount on the overall price for our patience in waiting for the parts. I was pleased that he was always willing to listen, was attentive to requests regarding aesthetics, and was very interested in making sure we were satisfied with all aspects of the work...which we are! The new lock works very smoothly and the door handle feels good and works well for our needs. We followed his advice regarding getting duplicate keys made, and are very happy with the results. We would call Bluebird again, should the need arise for a locksmith in the future.

Excellent service. I highly recommend Bluebird to anyone needing any kind of locksmith service. Our technician was friendly and professional. I was given a quote over the phone and even though it was slightly higher than another provider, they agreed to come out the same day (within 2 hrs of my call). The technician worked quickly and efficiently. Our locks are very old and they were taking quite a long time to repair so he asked if he could replace the last 2. That was fine and he gave us new locks of higher quality and did not charge us any extra. "I'm a man of my word and I'm not going to charge you extra". In the end, the cost of work and materials was cheaper than if I had gone with a potentially "cheaper" provider. The other thing I appreciated is that our technician gave me helpful tips about security and made recommendations for increased security but did not pressure or suggest we upgrade.

I purchased my new home on 4/1 and wanted to get the doors rekeyed as it had been previously a rental home. I called Bluebird on 4/1 and heard back from Dave later that day. I was pretty flexible on timing as was Dave, and we were able to agree upon the afternoon of 4/2 when he had finished some existing scheduled work. Dave and traded voicemails and quick calls confirming his appointment on 4/2. The work took a total of roughly 1.5 hours. He made some suggestions on addition, optional work, and explained the work that he was doing on each lock. I ended up paying cash, and he offered a discount as a result. I'd definitely use his services again.

Bluebird came out and replaced some old locks and rekeyed existing locks. They were prompt and professional and offered great suggestions. I would certainly use them again and recommend them to friends and family.

Dave did a great job. He showed up on time and worked very diligently to make sure the job was done to a very high standard. It took longer than he estimated, he did not charge us beyond the original estimate for labor. He was very professional and did a great job. We will definitely use Bluebird again the next time we need work done on our locks.

The lock on our front door broke; it could be locked from inside and the inside latch worked but the outside handle/latch would not operate. Dave came out within 90 minutes as promised. He quickly showed us that the mechanism's springs were broken which made that part of the mechanism inoperable and that the internal metal parts were near failing. He made a temporary repair for the overnight period and came back in the morning at the promised time. The external handle was in a size no longer made and although he tried his suppliers and even reconditioned sites, he could not obtain a replacement that fit the existing holes in our door. He explained and demonstrated all of this to us and did then get the appropriate hardware that matched exactly for color and installed it although off by 1/4 inch as he discussed. He set hardware and fill that matched the door's color and showed no sizes of the old screw holes. At our request he replaced the cylinder in that door and the door into our garage and the side door to the house with new cylinders keyed alike and replaced the hardware on both of those doors. The hardware on the side door was a double deadbolt which was legal when built, but not up to code 42 years later and a potential hazard in the event of an emergency so that replacement was necessary and the door into the garage had settled over time and no longer lined up well. That problem was solved as well and the new lock and works perfectly. All new parts, neatly installed; cleaned up after himself and provided new keys for those locks. His charges were reasonable for the many hours spent doing a neat, thorough job and for the handles/locks/latches involved. We strongly recommend him and would hire him again.

Dave was very responsive and considerate about scheduling. Texting back and forth worked very well. He showed up as scheduled, told us what he thought about our locks and made suggestions. He was willing to apply the money we had paid for an Angie's List deal (to rekey two locks) to the cost of replacing them.

Bluebird came out right away and fixed our lock correctly. Their technician was very friendly and professional.
