When I was looking for contractors to give me quotes for new siding on Angie’s List, I came across GMart. The first thing that caught my attention was all the positive reviews. After hiring them to replace our siding, gutters, downspouts and fascia (and a couple of other things), I can see why people speak so highly of them and in particular, Greg. What impressed me the most about Greg was his responsiveness, customer service and flexibility. If I texted Greg, I would almost always get an immediate response…and I texted him a lot. Greg also had great suggestions on how we could improve the look of our home with respect to colors and design. I felt he took the time to get things done the right way. With the work now completed on our home, it has never looked better. Based upon my experience with Greg, I would recommend him to family and friends.

I would give Greg and his team my highest recommendations. They handled everything, including the Lake Forest required permits, with the utmost professionalism. Fast quote process, reasonable pricing, and very consultative on the approach for the project. The work was completed not only on time, but well exceeded my expectations. Going to Angie's List to find someone with an A rating to do a siding job at my home brought me to the Gmart Inc. ad because all 80 reviews were rated A or A+. After reading half of them, I decided that this was the company to do the job. Greg came out promptly and when my son and I told him that we were interested in veneer stone on the front of the house and garage as well as LP Smartside siding, and new windows, he advised us as to how it would look best. He also told us that he would replace any rotting wood and insulation board if and where it was needed. We are very satisfied with the beautiful job that his crew did. Our house looks great and the quality of his work is impeccable. Greg is very accommodating and goes the extra mile to make sure that you are happy with the work done. When finished, his crew cleaned up nicely [like they were never there]. I would definitely call him in the future if I have any more work to be done at my home, and I will refer him to anyone looking for quality work because I can trust that he is honest and the job will be done well. We got 5 estimates for replacing our windows. Greg the owner came out to our home once when my husband was home. I had called him about 8 at night expecting to leave a message but he answered the phone and answered all my questions, which were many. We actually had him come out a couple of times because we couldn't make up our minds and he was very patient and he showed up when he said he would. They started the job a few weeks later and I couldn't be happier with how everything went. They came when they said they would. They cleaned up after they were finished and the results are amazing. They did a wonderful job. They tolerated my crazy dogs until they calmed down. They got the whole job done in about 2 days. The windows and patio door look incredible. We were going to do the trim on most of the windows ourselves because we are fairly handy people and they were going to do it on 2 or 3 of them but when I saw how good of a job they were doing we called Greg and asked if he could have the guys do all the trim. We agreed on a price, which was beyond reasonable, he made a phone call and by the end of the 2nd day, every window was trimmed. We used to have a deck in out yard that we took out and so there was some siding that was missing/damaged. We asked if they could fix it and it looks better than I could have imagined. We originally were going to reside the whole house but he even said there was nothing wrong with our siding and why did we want to redo it. Honestly the only reason I wanted to change it is because I didn't like the color. But you have to admire his honesty. He could've told me it was crap and try to sell me 12k worth of work. He didn't. I like that. I can live with the color I have. And with the new windows and capping, it actually looks really really good. Glad he was honest. He saved me a lot of money. Eventually I will have other things done like the sofits, gutters, and down spouts replaced and when I do, I will call GMART back to do the work. I'm really pleased with the service and the work and I'm glad we chose them.

G-Mart was impressive to say the least. Let?s start with the estimate which was one my favorite parts of the whole process. I contacted about six different companies for an estimate which only four responded to. G-Mart owner Greg Martyniak came by and met with me to provide an estimate. I had three other estimates; two of which required that my wife be present for the estimate (which was a sneaky sales tactic to get us to buy on the spot). The other three estimates were all gimmicky and sales oriented. With the other estimates I felt like I was being fed a sales pitch that was long and dragged out. Greg?s estimate was right to the point and efficient. His estimate took less than 30 minutes while all the other estimates each took over an hour. He walked around the house with me and explained all the things that they would do and problems that he noticed that would be fixed by his team. And this was not some drawn out sales pitch, it was efficient and right to the point which I really enjoyed. Greg didn?t use gimmicky sales tactics to push his services on me; he just presented what his team would do, he answered my questions, and then we both went on with our days and he sent an estimate over via email the next day. The price was also very competitive. He was not the cheapest but he was way cheaper than the most expensive estimate I got. One of the things that really caught my eye initially too was not the positive reviews but the lack of negative reviews which was really impressive in my opinion. In reference to the work performed. The crews were very polite and were always working very hard. You could tell they had a great deal of experience in their field. They were very neat and thorough and did everything that they said they were going to do. They found some rotted wood behind the old siding so they showed me the problem and replaced it without charging me extra. I will definitely be recommending this company in the future; our home looks amazing, thank you Greg.

We considered 3 bids from different contractor and Greg's quote price is very competitive. We saw Greg's excellent review on Angie's List, so we decided to choose Gmart as our contractor. This is a big project and we need to start it and get it done quickly. Greg and his team was able to start the work as we requested and finished it by the time as we agreed. His responsiveness before and during the work is excellent. He is able to pick almost every call I made and that shows Greg's business attitude and diligence. Greg listens to our thoughts of how we like the appearance to be and able to provide us valuable ideas. Plus, Greg and his crew were all very friendly. I have already recommended Gmart to a few of my friends and will recommend them in the future.

Our house needed new siding, gutters and all windows needed to be capped. Spending that much money on a house is never a pleasant situation, and we went through a rigorous bidding process. In the end, it was several heartfelt Angies List reviews by fellow AL members that swayed us to go with Greg and his GMART crew. I hope to pay it forward and that someone else will ready my review and give Greg and GMART a second look. First of all, our house has gone through a Lot of interior and exterior work by various companies over the last few years, so we are (unfortunately) very experienced at this point with playing the role of a general contractor to do work on our house. Over these past few years I've developed a pessimistic and skeptical view of anyone who we hire. I can honestly say that Greg and everyone who worked with him at GMART on our house are in that top bracket of people who, through their work ethic, managed to convince me that sometimes there are truly good people in the house renovation business. They seem to genuinely love what they do and care about their work. They show up early, stay late (a couple of times they stayed a couple hours late to prepare for bad weather that was coming the next morning) and even cleaned up after themselves each day. They are considerate (asked if it was OK to work on Saturdays, listened and adjusted their approach to my wife's wants, etc... etc...). Most importantly, they did what so far appears to be an outstanding job on our house despite all the curve balls that came their way through this process. Greg pointed out a few other things that were not right with our house and fixed them for free(!) because their drive for quality and professionalism is hard to find.

Overall the experience was great. The crew was professional and hard working. They paid attention to every detail on the task they were performing and when they had a question about something, they asked me before proceeding. Gregory, the owner, is very responsive and followed up with me on a daily basis. The crew did an exceptional clean up of the site on a daily basis and when the project was complete. I would most definitely recommend GMart to family and would contract them for future work.

Gmart, Inc did complete aluminum capping, custom shutters, and seamless gutter installation at my house in March 2016. Everything was done right on time with excellent quality. Greg was on the site every day. When I had questions he was immediately available over the phone, and, if needed, met me at my house usually same day at the time convenient for me. Often he suggested ideas, improvements even if it costed him extra effort and material. His team is top notch with the great skills, determination, and attention to details. I strongly recommend GMART, Inc. and Greg for whatever home improvement project you may have in mind.

Greg, the owner of GMart, did an excellent job describing how he was going to set up and complete the project. We bid out the job to 5 different contractors, yet Greg's recommendations to improve the curb appeal were consultative, and his eye for detail stood out for the other siding companies. Once we decided to move forward, Greg promptly ordered the supplies and visited the site to discuss the scope of work with his crew. Once the siding was delivered, GMart worked everyday for two works save one due to weather to complete the job. The worksite was always cleaned up at the end of the day and it was clear this team has worked together for a number of years. The home had previously been covered in invasive vines, but Greg and his team removed all the growth before installing the siding. Greg made added a few bonuses to the project like adding shake to our entry way (looks great!) and installing lattice I had in my garage under the porch and stairs. During the final walkthrough, Greg ensured that the job was exactly what we had discussed and even left some extra siding in case our builders accidentally damaged the work he had done. The house looks like new now and I would highly recommend Greg and his team!

I wish I could give Greg and his team 10+ stars. We had hail damage in our neighborhood after a storm. After watching my neighbors have their siding replaced by other siding contractors and noticing a vast difference in the methods they used, I started researching siding replacement. Greg was not a "storm chaser" I contacted him through Angie's list. His quote was fair. He provided a superior product with an experienced installation team. GMART removed the siding from my house, replaced the Tyvek with new Tyvek and insulation panels. The Tyvek was taped at the seams prior to the insulation being installed. The vinyl was then installed on top of the insulation. The windows were professionally trimmed out. Each seam where the siding track touched wood on the house was caulked. The windows were caulked at the bottom and had flashing installed at the top insuring that they were water proof. They were prompt and respectful of my yard. Greg responded to both my e-mails and text messages promptly. Greg is the owner and truly cares about the end result. Greg and his team exceeded my expectations. They are professionals and experts in their field. If you are considering replacing the siding on your house, look no further. You have the choice of where to spend your money, whether it is through homeowners insurance or out of pocket, make the choice to use a company who cares about the end product and is proud to put their name on the work done.

Greg and his crew at GMart are top notch. We got multiple quotes for re-siding our house, all from Angie's List. Greg came out and discussed the project with us in detail, and had both creative suggestions as well as options for keeping cost reasonable. He listened to what we wanted to do and put together a quote that was very competitive. Before and during the job, Greg was in contact with us via phone to confirm where things were with the schedule (even calling me once to let me know he would be 5 minutes late to a meeting at our house!). The job took about 10 days in total, and needed to be completed as two different sessions since we needed to coordinate some other work being done to our house around the same time. The crew at GMart was professional and very detail oriented. They took extra time to put some very subtle details in place with some of the trim around our windows, and we couldn't be happier with the results. On top of this work, we had some water damage behind some of the siding that was removed. Greg took pictures of the damage, and took care of fixing this up for us to ensure it is done right. We offered multiple times to pay him for the extra work involved here, but he wouldn't accept any additional payment even though this clearly involved more work than expected. We will be recommending GMart to anyone we know looking for new siding in the NW Chicago suburbs. They wholeheartedly deserve their "A" rating here on Angie's List

Greg came through and saved the day again for me. After the very high winds we had last week part of my siding had detached from the house and was flapping around. Even though his crew was completely booked Greg came out himself to repair the damage. He not only came out very quickly but explained why the siding had so easily pulled away from my house. This is the second time I've called in a situation like this and both time Greg has made time to come out and fix the issue. Even though this wasn't a big job, he treated it with the utmost urgency and fixed my problem. You just don't find this superior level of service and support these days but I'm fortunate that I did.

Called hoping for some ASAP service as we had some wind damage that caused a large piece of siding to come loose. Since it was still very windy, the piece was blowing around and I was worried about further damage to siding or windows. Greg responded and was here within a few hours to do the repair. He showed me some issues with my siding being loose and did the repair in a very timely and professional manner. I would definitely recommend his service.

Greg was the first one to respond and the best price for the best quality products and work. In fact, the other quotes we got didn't even offer more than one product. It was not the price alone that made it so easy to choose G-Mart. It was the time spent on each detail of the exterior of our home that made it so easy for us to choose him. He responded to every question we had quickly. His crew was professional and easy to communicate with. In the end, he stuck to his estimate even though he needed additional materials. We recently had our soffit and fascia replaced by GMART. I was extremely pleased with the quality of service, attention to detail, and thoughtfulness Greg and his team provided. I originally contacted a few siding companies to obtain estimates within the same timeframe. Greg was prompt in taking my call and providing a quote on very short notice. Other contractors provided estimates which ranged significantly greater than Greg?s quote and some that which were slightly less than what Greg offered (however this one was not as comprehensive as Greg?s). I chose to work with GMART because of the confidence I had in Greg after seeing how knowledgeable he was and because he provided straightforward answers to any questions I had during the estimate process. Greg was always prompt in his response and provided excellent suggestions which we overlooked. I really appreciated him providing us options on how to proceed with the install based on our preferences to ensure we have the best outcome. Greg was kind enough to remove an old satellite-dish from the side of the house. He re-arranged old cables around the existing siding to hide them from visibility and applied matching caulking to the siding where any screws were disconnected at no additional charge. Greg also provided replacement weather-strips on the garage door at no additional charge instead of reapplying the old strips after capping the garage door perimeter! Greg was able to commence work within three days of signing the contract and was very flexible in including all of our requests. His team was very courteous while they worked around the home. They arrived promptly at the time they stated and completed the project at the time they originally anticipated. The installers were very careful to remove any materials and debris from the worksite. I would happily recommend GMART to anyone without reservation!

Greg was the only company that actually gave us design tips and really seemed to care about the final outcome and our satisfaction. That really went a long way for us. The original start date was to be beginning of August as we had to wait for siding to come in because we ordered a custom color. However, the siding came in two weeks early and our house is complete already. He was able to have a team come out to our house early. The team showed up on a Tuesday bright and early and worked till almost 7pm. They continued this schedule through the end. They even worked Saturday and Sunday and Saturday was a very hot day but they still powered through. They were always friendly and worked around our hectic schedule and lifestyle. Greg would often check up on progress and make sure we were happy and he and his team would always double check before continuing on any aspect of the job that possibly skewed from our original plan. Greg was also very excited to see the completed project which made us feel good. He basically created a custom design for our home and our home is quite unique and really stands out. It has only been two days since completion and we have already gotten a lot of compliments. Greg also had to really work with our insurance company to prove all the material needed, damage done, etc. That could not have been an easy task but he was willing to do it for us. I am not sure most companies would do that. If I ever need any work done regarding my home, I will most certainly use GMART. Great company and very nice people.

Our house looks beautiful thanks to Greg and his crew. We couldn't be more satisfied with the product and installation. Greg was always on time for appointments, easy to communicate with, very responsive to our questions, and by far had the best price. His crew was neat, respectful, and professional. I would highly recommend using Gmart.

After initial e-mail contacts, Greg came out to the house and sized up the job. We initially wanted oversized gutters around the entire first floor, but Greg advised us against doing that. We settled on oversized gutters on one portion of the house, and standard 5 inch gutters in the front of the house. The workman appeared promptly on the agreed day and finished in the early afternoon without even stopping for a break. He cleaned up EVERYTHING and the job looks great. I would definitely hire Gmart again.
