Jimmy did a great job at our home. He was personable & professional from start to finish. Ensured that the work was done right, took the time to explain why the charges were what they were, & cleaned up the area after the job was done. As our New replacement Sink Disposal unit was larger than the existing one Jimmy had to redo the plumbing under the sink. He took the time to explain this and ensured that it was right with us watching the his handy work! Likewise, he checked & tightened the water check valves (for our 3 Toilet cisterns) instead of replacing them as he found them to be still in good working order. Jimmy's last task was to replace our Hot & Cold Laundry Faucets. Again this was done well with care & attention to avoid damaging our Dryer unit which was in the way. Overall, this company (PLUMB-IT) did a great job & we would have hem back to do other plumbing work in the future.

Plumb-It responded to my call immediately and was at my home within about 40 minutes to rod out our sewer line. The plumber that arrived, was professional and very polite. He spent two hours rodding out our sewer line to get all the roots out. He had some trouble getting out the first ball of roots as the blade got stuck in the roots and it took quite a while to get it lose. He was drenched in sweat by the time he finished two hours later. Once he completed the job, he cleaned up the area and I was only left with some splatter on the carpet near the utility room door where he had worked, which I steam cleaned myself. The room where our main sewer trap is located is small and the plumber did not have a lot of room or clearance to work as the room is located under the top of the basement stair case. I must say he did an excellent job and really had to work extra hard at pulling out the rod with the tangled roots with not having a lot of room to work in. I will definitely use Plumb-It again for future plumbing needs.

I called Plumb-IT the week before the work was done. Scott Mrizek, the owner, took the call on his cell phone. He was on a job and ask if it would be okay to call me back later in the day. When we spoke again on the phone I explained that I wanted to have a new toilet and a new kitchen faucet installed, both of which I had already purchased. He gave me an estimate over the phone which at first was a bit higher than one of the other estimates I had obtained. When I mentioned this he brought his estimate down to about $10 less than this other estimate. Since reviews of Scott's work on Angie's list were favorable and because his estimate was lowest I hired him to do the work. We agreed on a date and time that the work would be done. Scott and an employee arrived as agreed. I showed them the work than needed to be done. Scott went promptly to work on the faucet and his employee handled the toilet. They completed the work in a little over an hour. The old toilet and faucet as well as the packing materials from the new toilet and faucet were hauled away. There was no clean up to be done after they left. The work was completed about a month ago and both items are functioning properly. Scott is a personable straight-shooter and is pleasant to deal with. Both he and his employee handled themselves in a professional way.

Scott kept me informed about what was happening and how the new drain unit he put in will help prevent this problem from reoccurring. The whole thing took under 3 hours including a trip to the supplier. They were very careful to take their shoes off each time they came in, and they did a nice job cleaning up after themselves. Scott gave me a recommendation for local handyman contractor who can patch the drywall and re-install a light fixture that they had to take down for the drain repair. Scott is definitely welcome in my home. This was exactly the kind of experience I wanted from a small business, and I will be singing his praises to friends.

We discovered our leaking hot water heater a little after 11am yesterday. I immediately started researching options on Angie's List. I decided to give Plumb It a try. Over the phone, Scott walked me through how to turn off my water heater. He also came to my house in just over an hour to take it out and replace it with a new one. He offered to replace the bad piping and valves for the old heater. They were ancient and falling apart, so of course I took him up on the offer. Our main valve even broke when we turned off the water. He replaced that, too, but didn't charge me. He didn't feel right making me pay for something we hadn't discussed up front. Of course, it wasn't his fault. It was just old and caked with hard water minerals. Anyway, Scott was professional, thorough, and a nice person to work with. I have always dreaded working with plumbers (based on past experiences), but now that I know I have a great one, I am not afraid of future plumbing issues. Scott answered my call immediately when I had an overflowing toilet that was leaking through the floor into our garage. They were at our house right away, and solved the problem immediately. This is the second time that we have used their services. They are polite, thorough, punctual, and kind. I would strongly recommend them, and will definitely call them for any future plumbing needs. Steve answered the phone late at night for an emergency gas repair and put my mind at ease. He said someone would be out first thing in the morning and accomodated my schedule very well. He stated at the time there would be an additional $75 charge becasue the work was on the weekend and I accepted. The technicial that came got right to work and fixed the gas leak plus checked over all the critical components in the house before leaving as well as re-lighting pilot lights. The price was $175 and then the $75 charge was added on top of that. I thought that was a little steep for how long he was here, but he did a good job and had a great temperment. He also let me know about the angie's list coupon which saved me $10 so that was nice.

Quick and easy. Owner is great. Enjoyed meeting them.

Arrived on time and confirmed the work to be done and provided reasonable estimate of the repair. Performed the repairs to be made professionally and efficiently w/o wasting any time. Described the worked he did and charged me the estimated cost of the repairs. Because of this experience, we will use Scott again for our future plumbing needs and recommend his services to our neighbors and friends.

We saw Scott at Plumb-It on Angie's List and called. Scott and Jim showed up promptly and evaluated the problem. They realized they did not have the proper parts with them to replace our outdated 16 year old set-up. They however, quickly remedied the problem with new recommended fittings and returned the same day. They completed the install quickly, were professional and pleasant and cleaned up the area. We would definitely use them again. It is nice doing business with a small business owner who understands customer service!

Scott was excellent and we would use him again. Called on Monday and he was there on Tuesday. Had a simple leak that he fixed and he was able to fix a problem with our water heater as well. Wasn't there much more than an hour. He was on time, courteous, and we would definitely use it again.

My water heater was leaking so I contacted Scott. Scott was very professional told me my options and cost and installed a 75 gallon powervent water heater. Scott was punctual and did an excellent job.

Scott and Jimmy arrived promptly at 8am. I described the services I needed and they got right to it. We chatted while they were repairing the toilet and it was nice to get to know them a little bit and prepare Jimmy for his first Chicago winter (he's relo'd from Georgia). Both gentlemen are very friendly, down to earth guys. I wasn't sure if I needed a new sump but mine was 10 yrs old and Scott advised me it's probably due so I went ahead and had him do that while they were onsite. Turns out, my pump wasn't working quite right and the well was holding too much water so good call Scott and how about the timing for me?! The entire job was done in maybe an hour, the site cleaned up well and priced very fairly. They even gave me some leave behinds...glass, pen, and fridge magnet. I would hire Scott and Jimmy again in a heartbeat. If you're looking for a honest, hard working, high quality plumber, look no further.

I initially used Plumb-It to fix a bathtub drain, but I've been so pleased with the service that Scott and his company provides that I use him now exclusively for my yearly sprinkler system checks. They have always been pleasant and reliable. Their prices are really reasonable-he charges me approx 30% less than the last company did for sprinkler system checks. I have had terrific experience with this company and I highly recommend them.

Scott did a fantastic job! He called and let us know that he would be a little late getting to our home as his previous appointment was taking a little longer. He told us what he thought the problem might be.............informed us on every step he was taking to correct the problem. When he found what the whole problem was............it was fixed in a matter of hours. He is courteous, honest, and a hard worker. We will now use him in the future for any other plumbing issues we might have.

The faucets in the bathroom and in the kitchen of my 112-yr old house were leaking. I had been living with the very cheap bathroom fixture [similar item available today at Home Depot today for about $15!] that had been installed by the previous owner of this house. The plastic caps indicating hot/cold water were broken and the acrylic-coated sink top on the bathroom credenza was cracked and looked horrible. When the kitchen faucet [over 20 yrs old] started to leak badly, it was time for a plumber. I bought faucets and a sink top at Home Depot [H/D] and thought about using H/D's "Home Services" for intallation. Two H/D guys who helped me in the store actually told me they thought I would get better, cheaper, faster service by finding my own plumber. So---as usual---I checked Angie's for a local person and found that Plumb-It, Inc. was located near my neighborhood and was highly recommended by those who had used its services. I checked the Plumb-It website and liked what I saw there. The owner, Scott, was out-of-town when I called but had arranged for his associate, Jimmy, to handle things in his absence. Jimmy responed to my call promptly and came out the next day [Friday] to look at the situation, to see what I had purchased, and to be sure everything would be available on the repair day. He told me that Scott would have to give me the estimate and that Scott would contact me as soon as he got back in town the following Monday. Scott called on Monday morning with what I thought was a reasonable estimate and the whole thing was done on Wednesday by 10 am. Both Scott and Jimmy were professional, efficient and a pleasure to do business with. I definitely will call them again whenever I need a plumber.

he was on time. and did the extra service of installing the valve without making us pay more than the estimate. he even gave us some promotional items like a mug with his company's name on it. he was efficient and every thing went well.

Scott was supposed to arrive between 12-1, but called me at 10:30 and asked if they could come early. Scott and Jimmy checked the main drain opening in the basement before starting on the kitchen drain. Scott explained to me what they had to do and then they began to rod it out. After the first attempt the drain was still not completely clear. They rodded it out a little farther the second time and the drain was still a bit slow. They rodded it out a third time, going about through about 80 feet of pipe and cut through a large grease clog. Afterwards Scott told me to boil a few large potts of water and pour it down the drain. This will help clear away any residual grease that could be stuck to the pipe walls. He also told me what to do to keep it clear and to avoid this from happening again. They cleaned up their work area and left the kitchen just as they found it.

Showed up a few minutes earlier (after calling to make sure it was okay!) and had both problems fixed in less than a half hour. Very nice guys. Would definitely recommend and will use again for all future issues.

I called Plumb-it because of the great reviews on this site and the relatively proximity to our house. I called Tuesday afternoon and, since it wasn't an emergency, made an appointment for Thursday morning. Scott gave me a one hour window and he arrived early in that window. We showed him the two problems and he immediately knew exactly what the issues were. He was also spot-on on what caused both issues. He did the repairs quickly and efficiently and was very resonably priced. He's also an extremely nice guy. I would call him again and definitely recommend him to anyone who asked. Great service!

The owner of Plumb-It, Scott, provided me with a very reasonable estimate for time and material, walked me through where the water lines needed to be rerouted, the different water line sizes my house had and most importantly explained why he needed to do certain things. Scott and his employee were very professional, arrived on time, helpful and most of all honest. I will do business with them again. I am extremely pleased at the quality of work that was performed.

I called Plumb-it and spoke to Scott after my 7 year old daughter told me she thought something was wrong in the basement. The ceiling was sagging and dripping, there was water all over the floor. I looked on Angie's List and based on the reviews, called Scott. First, since I had an active drip, he led me to the place in the house where I could completely shut off the water. He was on his way to another job, but he asked if he could call me back to determine how quickly he could come out. He was able to reschedule the other job and was out at my house within the hour. I really appreciated this because I was a little bit in a panic. Scott arrived with another gentleman and they were friendly, personable and I felt completely comfortable and at ease with them. They found the source of the leak, which was an old line that was supposed to feed the ice-maker in the fridge. It wasn't hooked up, but it wasn't completely shut-off and it got disturbed and started leaking. They installed a correct shut-off valve and some new pipe. When Scott was washing his hands at the kitchen sink, he asked me what was wrong with my faucet. My kitchen faucet had ridiculously low water pressure for over a year, and we had just accepted it. Well, Scott quickly took it apart and cleaned it and now it is just incredible. My husband and I gushed about it for days....the pressure is so incredible now. The price for the job was really reasonable. Scott came out the same day I called, on a Saturday and not only fixed the leak, but fixed my kitchen faucet, no charge. He is super knowledgeable and very friendly, I felt so comfortable having him and his crew in my home. I have had many plumbers in this house, but they either left things worse then before they came, or didn't leave an impression at all. Scott was different. I will definitely call his company for any future plumbing needs. I was really in a panicked state when I called him and he really came through for me and my family.
