Matrix Basement Finishing

Matrix and their whole team was great to work with: everyone was very respectful and efficient, and we hardly knew they were hard at work as our routines were barely interrupted. They were communicative, as well as glad to pivot on a task or make a revision to the original plan as the process moved along in order to meet the basement's changing needs as it all came together. I would say we would gladly work with them again, but this basement was a one-and-done deal. :)

The project was started on time but once we were nearing the end, the work quality decreased. We were then contacted by the company to schedule our "showing". I explained that our project was not completed. They did send a different workman out at that point who did finish one of the problem areas but that was the last we heard from them. So $50,000 later we don't have the completed project.

My rep was Kyle and he did an excellent job of explaining the history of Matrix as well as the entire process. He described many options that were available to me as well as the entire process. And, the process was exactly as he described. A few days before the install, the foreman contacted me to confirm the order and installation date and time (just like Kyle said would happen). The install team arrived on time, explained what was going to occur, and then took great care to protect the wood floor in the hallway as well as the ceramic floor in the bathroom (not one tile was broken). The removal of the old tub is messy and the crew worked diligently to ensure the mess was contained only to the bathroom. Prior to install the new shower and fixtures, all the debris from the tub removal was removed from the house. Once the installation was completed. the crew removed all debris, cleanned all the chrome, and swept the floor, even though it was covered during the process. When they were done, you never would have known they were here. I highly recommend Matrix Home Solutions. The shower is excellent. I highly recommend Matrix Bathroom Solutions.

Matrix was a great company to work with from beginning to end. A plan was created and a schedule to complete the work. The trades were all highly professional and easy to work with. Any questions we had were answered promptly and explained in detail. We are very happy with our brand new basement.

The space itself was finished to a high quality and the workers involved made sure they did a solid job. Some extra work was discovered along the way, and Matrix provided options and solutions to figure out how to get it done right. Nothing felt rushed. I would hire them again for future projects. Remember to consider not just the room you are wanting to finish, but the entrances and connective spaces that will be impacted as well. They may need updates to keep the whole house feeling like a consistent structure.

Great experience with Matrix. From the initial quote to the finishing touches just an all-around quality product and team. Like any project we had small changes and challenges along the way but Matrix walked us through options and made us feel comfortable and we’re just extremely happy with our new basement. Every single person that came in to the house to help with parts of the job were extremely professional, friendly and respectful. Great team. Our project manager and foreman, Shawn, was there every step of the way. Always available by phone and text he was a key reason the project ran so efficiently. It went awesome! It was a great experience from the first person I talked to on the phone to the salesman that came out to the house all the way out through the build out. They quality of work was amazing and the whole process was seamless. We did not have time to mess with contractors and chasing people down. Timelines were met and it came out exactly how we envisioned it! I would highly recommend that anyone out there looking to have their basement done to call Matrix!

We had our basement completely done by Matrix. We met with several companies and appreciated the professionalism that was offered. They explained every step of the process and worked with us to make the project affordable. We love our new basement!

Be careful! When they come out for a design consultation, they are going to pressure you with the hard sell. Our basement plan, after a lengthy timeshare-type intro, started at $72,000 and dropped quickly to $45,000 if we agreed to sign up and pay them 30% RIGHT NOW. The designer who came does not appear to be an architect, and the design solutions he proposed reflected that. It was an exhausting, very long, marketing-heavy experience that left me with a terrible headache. I understand this type of sales pitch for a closet or a vacuum cleaner, but for a $45,000 ($72,000?) home renovation project, it was WAY off the mark.

Our basement is beyond beautiful!!! We wanted a clean, open, and bright space that matched the feel of the rest of our home. We wanted a modern basement that we could use for years to come and would enhance our lifestyle. Through the entire process our team helped accomplish all of our goals and always made every adjustment needed to accommodate our wishes. Shawn is the best project manager you could ever ask for, he went above and beyond to check on us and make sure the project ran smoothly from start to finish. Shawn came to the house often and would check in on us to ensure that we were happy and that the design was 100 percent perfect. I can’t say enough about how happy and lucky we feel about getting to work with Shawn on this project! Jose and his team not only do excellent work but are also polite and friendly. If you are finishing a basement, call these people! You will not regret it.

All the people we came into contact with at Matrix were wonderful! Ben was the main guy on site and he was great. We appreciated his communication about the upcoming steps and what to expect next throughout the process. A special thank you to Anthony and Jay! Anthony was the foreman who handled all the scheduling and answered questions via phone. We don’t know how Anthony juggles it all, but he did and was readily available to us when we needed him. We met Jay closer to the end of the project. Jay is very knowledgeable and his work is exemplary! We are happy with the overall work that was completed in our basement and have received many compliments. The foam insulation they use is also very effective - our basement is now the warmest room in our house!
