Fresh Tech Maid

We've had Fresh Tech maid service come twice a month for about the last year. They've been great to work with and very flexible! We've had a few different technicians since then and have had nothing but great results with each of them. Anelia has been our most recent technician and we can't stop saying great things about the quality of the cleaning! She even put up with our dog attempting to 'play' with the vacuum while we were testing out leaving her un-crated! I love that it's a chemical free process so we come home to a clean smelling home w/no chemical smells.

They were good and always asked for feedback. A few of the times they missed a few things, such as the baseboards, etc. that I would point out, but the next week they were missed again. Then they keep calling for feedback. I don't want to really have to go around and inspect the house every time to provide feedback and then call them back; I'd rather just enjoy the nice clean house and have it done right every time. They also paraded a new trainee almost every other week, saying I would get "2 cleaning ladies for the price of 1" but I never noticed any better of a job. They also believe in no chemicals, so the house didn't "smell" clean, but looked clean. They use basically water to clean and I noticed that the water didn;t clean the wood floors or tile very well. Overall, they were fine and did a good job, but we have had better and I think we're continue to look.

We started using Fresh Tech last March and have been thrilled with their services. I am very picky about cleaning services and we tried out several others before we found Fresh Tech. We've had a few different technicians since March (mostly due to our changing the schedule or requesting additional cleanings for special events) and all have been excellent. Not only do they clean everything up to my standards (with green products), but they are extremely professional and flexible about scheduling. They're also nice people -- they sent us a flower arrangement when a family member passed away last fall. We found Wells' sales pitch and communication style to be off-putting at the beginning, but we have just dealt with Susan and Lisa in the office since then, and both are very professional and helpful.

I was a little nervous about trying a cleaning service again after four bad experiences with four other companies. I asked for a last minute cleaning and they made it happen. My house looks fabulous and with family coming in to town, I couldn't feel more relieved! When giving the ratings I did hesitate on giving an A for price, but you get what you pay for people and I felt it was worth every penny! My understanding is once you have the initial deep cleaning it is cheaper to have it maintained. All I can say is Thank You Fresh Tech!!

Monthly Home cleaning. This is a fantastic service. Wonderful people - professionally trained.

The owner came to my house and gave me an estimate. He was professional and timely but pushy and wanted me to sign up for a package. I hadn't decided yet but due to his pushing, I finally relented. I told him specifically that my laminate wood floors in the kitchen, livingroom, diningroom and entry were my primary concern. He said they had to clean high first. I understood this and agreed as that is how I clean, too, but since I had gotten behind on the high areas, I specifically needed help with that and the floors. He took a tour and said that I was in pretty good shape, but I reminded him that I hadn't gotten to the high areas and needed help with that and the floors most. The day before the cleaners arrived I took all of the items off of the shelves and bookshelf tops. I cleaned and washed all of the items, packed them carefully away in boxes and placed them out of the way in closets. Evidently the cleaners cannot go higher than 2 steps. I was amazed. If a contractor comes to do work does he/she not go higher than two steps? They took a feather duster to my many high shelves, cabinet tops, wood valences and high furniture tops that were higher than two steps. That does not clean them. After they left, I had to climb up there and wipe everything down. I was at it until after 10:00 p.m. I began to wonder why I had someone else do it although the cleaners did a very good job with the "regular" type of cleaning. The worst part of the experience for me was the floors. The owner had evidently not passed on the information that I was very particular about those floors. They took about 20 minutes just before they left and didn't change the pad once. It was very streaked. I told them about it and they tried again, but it was pretty much not going to work. I have a smaller pad but it takes me about 2 hours to do those floors (it's a large area) and I change the pad about 5 or 6 times. The next day I had to redo the floors and after that I called to cancel the service. The owner never called to talk to me about it. He had someone from his office talk to me about getting different pads and keeping my planned monthly service with them. I was very frustrated at the end. I had to redo all of the high places and the floors. I learned a lesson. I will do it myself. I'm getting older and it is harder to do it, but I don't mind cleaning. I just need someone to help me with the semi annual major cleaning.

Good job with some limitations in accessing places that needed to be cleaned (too high to reach)

It went very well over-all. I really liked our technician and she did a very good job. She was friendly and I felt comfortable with her. Also I felt she went above and beyond in many areas which is also a very nice loving touch. My only complaint is that it is very expensive. I recently had a second child and needed a weekly cleaning instead of bi-weekly. We just couldn't afford the price so we went with someone else.

First contact, they described services beyond the original bid. That was on Feb. 7. They did not tell me at that time that they did not serve Oak Park. I waited to decide whether I wanted to pay extra and when I called to confirm (in July), they told me I was out of service area. This was not apart of the original conversation. This was the email I got back: Good afternoon, Mr. Warner. I received both your voice message and e-mail today. They are great. We love them. They have been absolutely wonderful!

Had difficulties scheduling appointment or getting Fresh Tech to call back for quote. However, once appointment scheduled, the technicians arrived promptly on day and time promised and did a good job of making the house shine. House was nearly vacant and needed preparation/cleaning for marketing and selling it. They only use environmentally friendly cleaning supplies.

They are very thorough and use environmentally friendly cleaning products. They are extremely reliable. They do exactly what you ask them to do and even go beyond your expectations.

The owner Wells came out to give me an estimate and has been great ever since. He chooses his staff very carefully and they are well trained. Typically they send the same person to clean, however when our regular person is on vacation they send another highly qualified replacement. I recommend them to everyone and if they follow through then I get a discount on my next cleaning! It's a win win for everyone!

The The people who cleaned were efficient and courteous. In the beginning it was the same woman who came every time. When she left there were a stream of new cleaners. They were usually accompanied by the last one who cleaned the house in order to help them get acquainted with the process. With the last person who cleaned, we noticed scratches in an 18th Century drop leaf table. The person cleaning had been scooting a footed clock across the table instead of picking it up and putting it down. We noticed this with a plate stand too. The marks were exactly the same and had been done more than once. The owner came to the house to see the damage and was very combative and refused to believe that any one of his employees would do such a thing. He said he had spoken with the woman who cleaned and he said she did not know what he was talking about. When she came to clean the next time, she never mentioned it and seemed oblivious about the complaint. When we let the company go and there was not one word as to why.

They always send the same person, which is great because she gets to know me and my house, and I get to know her, which I like. We've had several different people over the last year, due to scheduling changes, and all of them have done a terrific job. They are very responsive to my requests for changes, they pay attention to my priorities, and they are very willing to adapt the cleaning to my own needs. For example, I have a checklist of rooms, and they don't clean every room each visit, but just the ones I've checked on the list. They are always friendly and professional. Also, they are committed to non-toxic cleaning, and they totally respect my requests for no chemicals. I've often felt with other cleaners like I have to fight them on it. Overall, the price is a little more expensive than I would like, but I'm willing to pay it because I feel like I'm in good hands.

I was very impressed with the maids and their attention to detail. They even moved the boxes together into the center of the room without having to be told, and this helped greatly with the painters coming the next day. I was so happy that I signed up for their monthly cleaning service to just clean the upstairs at $147 per/cleaning. I have since had 1 monthly cleaning and was impressed again. She even cleaned my toothbrush charger and vacuumed my cat tower!

The housekeeper was very friendly and responsive to our cleaning needs. The job was thorough.

We have a regular technician that comes to our home. We recently moved from bi-weekly to weekly services b/c of the trust we carry in our technician. We are very happy with the technician's conscientiousness, work ethic and overall professionalism. For us, the open communication between the person that actually performs the services and us is very important and our technician is a very good communicator. We agree with other reviewers that the price isn't the cheapest, but, the care and trustworthiness that we have gotten in return makes it worth while.

I was searching for a house keeping company to do a good job with cleaning my home. I looked at Angie's list and called Fresh Tech and intervied with the president of the company, who was through with his information about the company, especially the l technique of his cleaning process, dust settles on furnitue, shelves, floors from the top- down which makes sense. The cleaning staff cleans from the top to bottom and it works. They also use cleaning equipment to accomodate the philosphy and the house is fresh and clean when they leave. We have had Fresh tech performing a bimonthly housecleaning for over 1 year now. They are professional, responsive and do a decent cleaning job. Is it perfect? No, but for the size of our house and the amount of mess my children leave it in I would say they do a very good job.

They were very good. They were on time and I thought my house looked great afterwards.

They are doing a great job and very responsive. They are more expensive than the other but thy are good and my wife is very meticulous about how it is to be done. Actually, the first person they sent us did not do a good job and my wife called them up and the person came out and took a look for everything and send somebody else at no expense to get it done right. They switched people and it was great ever since.

They were very thorough and did a great job. This is the second time I've used them and would definitely ue them again in the future.

Fresh Tech does a very, very thorough job of "setting you up" for service. They come out and visit before the first cleaning, and walk through the house with you room by room. They want to know what's important to you, and they make very thorough notes for the cleaner. The other thing I like is that I get just one maid (not a whole crew) each time, and unless there's a problem it's always the same person. They also follow-up after each cleaning, to see if there's anything that isn't right. One thing they tell you from the beginning -- your first clean will not be your best clean, because they're still getting used to the house and what's important to you. By the 5th cleaning or so, it should be perfect. Well, so far so good. I've had two cleanings and they've both been great. Finding a good "initial" service has never been the problem. Over time, though, I've found sloppiness with other services. I hope this time I've found a good one. It sure seems like it -- they have this down pat. They're not the cheapest, which is OK. I just want consistently good service. Also, my pet peeve is a service that doesn't keep track of a couple of specific needs I have regarding timing of the services (because I have kids who come home alone after school). So far, Fresh Tech not only gets it, they have made notes that lead me to believe that they'll keep getting it.

They are an excellent company. All of the women who work for the company who come into my home can speak English fluently. They are always on time and are very good workers. They are cheerful, intelligent, and diligent.
